Jia Ling arrived outside an apartment complex and gave it a quick glance over. Although it can't be considered run down, it wasn't a place Bai Chang would be staying if he had received the pay and credit he should have.

Although it wasn't quite up to standard, it at least had an elevator for the residents of the building to use.

Jia Ling entered the elevator and pressed the button for the seventh floor. Only two minutes later and she was standing outside the apartment door, and only a further thirty seconds passed after she knocked on the door before it opened, but standing at the door was a middle-aged woman who looked like the cliche housewife auntie you would see at the market .

"Hi, I'm looking for Bai Chang" Jia Ling said politely.

The middle-aged woman glanced her up and down a few times and then proceed to click her tongue, before finally replying to Jia Ling.

"He's one door to the left" the middle-aged woman replied.

"Thank you" Jia Ling said before turning and heading towards the next apartment on her left. It can't be completely helped not remembering the exact apartment, as quite a few years had passed since then. Unknown to Jia Ling as soon as the middle-aged woman turned and closed the door, her eyes lit up at the potential gossip and immediately phoned her partner in crime, the other middle-aged woman who lives across from her, ready to tell her all about the 'young beauty' looking for Bai Chang.

This time after knocking on the correct door, the person Jia Ling was looking for opened the door. One of the most unusual things about Bai Chang is his sense of fashion - when it comes to his designs they are exceptional and artistic, capturing attention from everyone, but, when it comes to what he wears he is quite lackluster. He doesn't put much thought or effort into his appearance.

The man who opened the door had messy dark hair, some bags under his eyes and was wearing a very simple cheap plain white top with plain bottoms and was bare foot. Most people would find it hard to associate those designs with this person even more so because of his young age of just 24 years old.

"Hello, I'm Jia Ling. I would like to make a deal with you." Jia Ling very straightforwardly stated her purpose for coming here, with conviction burning within her eyes she looked particularly beautiful and charming at this moment.

Bai Chang stared at for a second before coming back to his senses, his face became slightly gloomy as he sized Jia Ling up.

"I think you found the wrong person, if there's nothing else, I'm going first" He turned and was about to shut the door but Jia Ling quickly took a step forward, preventing him from closing the door.

"On the contrary, you are exactly the person I am looking for, Bai Chang".

Rather than replying to Jia Ling, he just grabbed his jacket and shoes by the door and locked the door behind him, signalling her to follow him. They both arrived at the small cafe beside the apartment complex. Bai Chang sat down and ordered himself a coffee as he looked at Jia Ling, waiting for her to talk.

Without bothering about his attitude she unhurriedly began to talk, "I want to make a deal with you, this one is slightly different from the one you previously made with your current boss".

"I'll give you the information you were previously promised for free, treat as a greeting gift since this is our first time meeting each other like this" she continued.

"The information you're talking about is...".

"Your brother" Once she said this, Bai Chang sat up straight his previous laziness and nonchalance nowhere to be found, his entire demeanor turned serious as he waited for Jia Ling to tell him anything she knew about his brother.

"I think it would be easier to show you than tell you. It's not necessarily good news though" Jia Ling turned her face down slightly to hide the sympathy within her eyes as she said this sentence heavily.

Bai Chang suddenly had an ominous premonition at those words.

...

When Jia Ling and Bai Chang arrived outside a cemetery, Bai Chang couldn't help but angrily blurt out "Are you joking with me, how could he...".

He tightly closed his eyes for a few seconds and took a deep breath to try and calm down the emotions raging within him. After he opened his eyes again, his eyes were bloodshot and filled with grief but also some unwillingness - both unwilling to believe and unwilling for his brother to no longer be alive.

"This better not be some sick joke!" he said to Jia Ling. She didn't take his rudeness to heart as she knows he doesn't mean it, if she were to describe him as an animal it would be a hedgehog- looks prickly on the outside but is actually harmless to most people and can be considered quite cute at times. Also, she knows at this point he is in shock and reluctant to believe his only remaining family already passed away and he didn't even know.

Bai Chang followed Jia Ling, arriving at a grave a few minutes later. The headstone had the name 'Bai An' engraved onto it along with some words.

Bai Chang covered his eyes with his arm, a stray tear managed to escape as it slid down his cheek. After a few minutes he finally managed to reorder his emotions but couldn't help but whisper to himself with grief "He was only twelve" as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

Jia Ling decided to stay silent at this point and allow him to digest and process the news.

...

At the small cafe -beside the apartment complex- they were at previously, Jia Ling and Bai Chang sat once again.

"You said you were here to offer me a deal but you said the information was a gift, so what is it you want to offer me and what exactly do you wish to gain from me?".
