Rebirth: If I Fall

Chapter 7 - The Play Starts

A month has passed since Helen was discharged from the hospital. From the day Helen was in the hospital till now, Simoun never left her side.

Helen looked at her phone and smiled when she saw, who texted her.

[ Dinner? ]

Even with this one-word text message, Helen couldn't stop herself from being happy. For this past month, Simoun never failed to check her up, he made sure she was doing fine, which really touched her heart deeply.

"Helen? Are you here? Why is your door locked? Open the door, I have something to tell you."

Helen clicked her tongue in annoyance.

Helen has been ignoring Helena subtly, she doesn't want anyone to think that she's acting weird, by ignoring Helena without any reason, she knew she would be the bad one if she is to ignore her, she knew how manipulative her sister is, that's why she need to make a plan, and not, recklessly doing everything based on her emotions.

Helen walked slowly, like she's enjoying the non-existent scenery.

"What took you so long to open the door?" Helena said, masking her annoyance.

Helen didn't answer her and instead stared at her intently.

Helena coughed, trying to shake away the awkwardness.

"So, as I was saying, I have something to tell you, quick let's come inside."

Helena tried opening the door wide, for her to come in, but was immediately stopped by Helen.

"Let's just go to different place, my room is quite messy"

Helena frowned. "Why are you acting so suspicious these days? Didn't I tell you not to associate yourself with Simoun? You are way too naive! He is a dangerous man, and he knows you are easy to fool so, he's trying to befriend you."

Helen stopped the urge to laugh at herself, was this kind of persuasion made her, so afraid of Simoun? Helen wanted to mock herself for falling into her sister's trap.

"Sister! How many times do I have to tell you that, I will never leave Simoun, if this is what you wanted to tell me then, I have nothing to say anymore. I need to get ready, I'll meet Simoun tonight, I'll eat dinner with him. You don't need to wait for me" Helen closed the doors.

Helena was about to knock at door when a maid came. "Young Miss, a man named Simoun Cadaval, is outside waiting for you, I asked him to come inside but insisted on staying outside."

Helena gasped in suprise, she never imagined that, Simoun would be here to see me.

Helena smiled brightly. "Is he looking for me?"

"Yes, he was asking for you Young Miss, he said, he'll be waiting inside the car for Young Miss"

The maid tried to curry favor for her Young Miss.

Helena walked excitedly to her room, completely forgetting that, just a while ago, helen said that she was going out with Simoun to eat dinner. The only person running through her mind is Simoun, the cold, indifferent, handsome Simoun, is waiting for her.

Helena started to search for a dress that could possibly make Simoun jaw drop.

Helena giggled at her fantasy.

***

He was never a patient man, he dislike tardy people, but he still waited for Helen, he doesn't know why his patience is limitless when it comes to Helen.

He smiled at the thought, she's late because he's dressing up for him.

Bored, he decided to send Helen a message, only to be interrupted by the opening of his car's door.

"Sorry for making wait for this long, so where are we going?" Helena smiled brightly at Simoun.

Simoun frowned at the woman who is sitting beside, annoyingly close.

'What is this vile woman doing here?'
