willow had a wonderful time with her mother as they lounged about the mall picking out lovely dresses for themselves and Lily. Since it was cool out after shopping they went to a quaint french cafe and enjoyed some tomato soup and hot lemon tea. sitting at the table willow was feeling relaxed until she accidentally spilt a bit of the soup across the white table cloth. it looked eerily similar to blood and an odd sinking feeling made her heart feel as if it was now hollow. in her last life she had ignored her gut instincts but she refused to make the same mistake again.

" momma I dont feel well, can we hurry home?"

looking over marissa could tell instantly her daughter wasnt lying. her face had become several shades paler and clammy looking as if she had seen ghost. willows dark eyes even looked anxious. this was quite sudden so Marissa thought her daughter must really be feeling sick.

"alright princess let's go"

the ride back home didnt take long but the moment they both witnessed several fire trucks passing them by the sinking feeling intensified. when they were only a few miles away she stuck her head out the window. willow stared in the direction of her house to discover billows of dark smoke polluting the sky like black clouds.

Her first thoughts of course were that Lily had again killed their father but this idea was soon brushed away. once Willow rushed out the car past the front gate of the estate lily was being carried into the back of the ambulance. willow only caught a glimpse of her but she did see red and black burns on her body. remembering herself in the past willow couldn't bring herself to find any joy in this wheel of karma. Burns were especially painful and it was humiliating when people had stared at her like she carried a disease. It was obvious that Lily didnt start the fire. knowing her she would have set it from outside to avoid any injuries for herself. the manor was burning down fast but from the top down. Like a child lost in a crowd she stood there bewildered until she realized her father was nowhere to be seen. Running as fast as she could willow bypassed the policemen and firefighters screaming " daddy! daddy! please daddy answer me!"

Terrified by her daughter about to rush inside the burning building Marissa held Willow back sobbing along with her.

Why? why did this have to happen? was her parents dying young inevitable? Willows vision started to go dark as she fell to the ground overwhelmed by grief.

Unconscious she didnt see the elegant man who picked her up from the ground and carried her back to the car. He was gentle, acting if she was a porcelain doll. Using his thumb he tenderly wiped away the tears wetting her cheeks. He watched her whimper pitifully in his arms and his hardened heart began to break. Before laying her down in the backseat, Seth kissed her forehead and whispered tenderly in her ear.

" please dont cry my weeping willow"

trailing behind him marissa was suprised by his behavior but was too upset to question it. getting in the passenger seat she sat sideways in the car, staring listlessly out the opened door as she prayed for her husband's safety.

she had already lost so much. could fate really be this cruel?
