Ye Cheng still had not found the wolf King but he had slain many wolves and got closer to Lv10.

The higher your level the more it is hard to reach the next level.

Due to the nature of leveling system in the game, the speed which players leveled up was totally bottomless. Going from level 1 to level 3 was still easy.

However the levels that followed were when the real the challenge began. After each level up the experience points needed for the next would be doubled The highest amount of experience points a monster in the beginner village gave was a mere 150-250! That is of course didn't count bosses. However finding a boss is not that easy let alone killing one. A situation like the last boss is very rare and a whole guild was almost annihilated Hence in the 3 days since it released, there were still no level 10 players with most being only level 7 and the highest of level 9.

If any player heard that Ye Cheng was able to reach Lv9 from Lv1 in a day, they would be become speechless with their jaws dropped.

Such a levelling speed was completely unheard of in <<LEGEND OF HEROES>>.

The wolves had a high drop rate and gave decent experience as well but most importantly, they were much stronger than the Giant Rats outside the village. This made Ye Cheng feel slightly better about himself since he was not wasting his time.

The wolves that Ye Cheng had slain had dropped 9 pieces of equipment in total including 2 leather armor, 3 leather shoes, a daggers and another 3 Ring all of the white tier.

Aside from this, Ye Cheng had also picked around 500 Copper coins. Since he essentially didn't get hit, he didn't spend any money on healing items either.

While Ye Cheng was roaming the area he saw 5 wolves sleeping next to a tree.

The 5 wolves had white fur and looked much stronger than the average Wild Wolves.

As he took a closer look found that that they were not only Lv12 monsters but also elites of the Steel Tier.

"This would be a tough one. It would be very bad if they were to gang on me"

Thought Ye Chen to himself as he used stealth and merged with the forest.

Ye Chen carefully got closer as he didn't want to alert the sleeping wolves and then threw one of the daggers he had at one of the wolves.

When the sleeping white wolf sensed something off, it immediately wake up and evaded the flying dagger.

The white wolf immediately looked at the source of the dagger with sharp eyes and let out a growl.

'Its reaction speed is better than the ordinary wolves'

Thought Ye Cheng as started running at not very fast speed as he wanted lure the white wolf away.

He didn't count on the dagger to make any damage from the beginning, he just wanted to attract the attention of the white wolf with it.

As the white wolf saw Ye Cheng escaping, it immediately gave a chase.

Soon they were away from the tree.

When the white wolf got closer, Ye Cheng suddenly turned around and slashed at its throat.

The white wolf sensed danger and jumped backward avoiding its throat being cut.

Ye Cheng followed by a stab to its abdomen dealing a good damage to it, but the white wolf also attacked him with its claw.

Ye Cheng let go of the dagger in white wolf abdomen and kicked the ground jumping to the side averting the white wolf claw.

He then made a Spin Hook kick with his left leg to the white wolf head sending it flying then followed by an Axe kick breaking its spine.

The white wolf never got up a gain.

Ye Cheng picked up his dagger and went to the white wolf corpse to get his loot.

The white wolf dropped 100 copper coins and Steel Tier leather shoes which is way better than the ordinary wolves.

As he didn't have a better equipment Ye Cheng decided to use this White wolf's Leather Shoes.

After doing that Ye Chen rushed to tree again to lure another white wolf.

With the increase in his agility Ye Chen finished this white wolf faster than the first.

After he killed another white wolf Ye Chen ran out of daggers so he chose to organize his loot first, he can't just go throw his silver tier dagger.

The two white wolves dropped 220 copper coins and two Steel Tier equipment.

Ye Chen equipped with the White wolf's Leather armor and put away the White wolf's Shield for sale as it was not suitable for him.

Equipped with white wolf equipment, the originally ordinary looking Ye Cheng now had a wild aura about him creating a suffocating feeling for those around him.

But the looking cool was not the only thing he gained from wearing the white wolf equipment, it has also increased his defense and agility significantly.

With Ye Cheng's current defense, even if an ordinary lv10 monster attacked him, it would barely cause any damage to him! But of course with his abilities, it is a question if these monsters would be able to even touch him! Hence Ye Cheng chose to attack the two remaining white wolves together.

When he reached the tee, the remaining white wolves were awake and in state of alert so it will be hard to lunch a sneak attack on them.

Ye Cheng concealed his breath entered stealth and slowly got close to one of the white wolves.

When Ye Cheng was one meter away from the white wolf it sensed his presence and backed away while the other one quickly arrived behind Ye Cheng.

Even if he was surrounded by two Lv12 Ye Cheng didn't panic.

He abandoned the stealth as it didn't have any use any more and accelerated his movement to the first white wolf.

Ye Cheng horizontal slash at the white wolf followed by low thrust with the dagger in his right hand then a punch to its stomach with his left hand and a front kick to send it 3 meters away but before he could finish it the other white wolf attack has reached him so he immediately spun around and kicked the white wolf then threw the dagger in his hand at the white wolf's eye dealing it a big damage.

When he was fighting the second white wolf. The first one that still hasn't died made a sneak attack from behind Ye Cheng sending him 2 meters over the ground.

But because of the increase in his defense the damage wasn't that large and he quickly stabilized himself then attacked again.

By then the other white wolf had recovered and joined the fight.

It took Ye Chen two minutes before he finished the two white wolves.

Ye Chen went to the two white wolves' corpses to take his loot.

They dropped 180 copper coins and another two Steel Tier equipment.

Ye Chen stored them to sell with the other unnecessary items.

Ye Chen went to another place to look for the wolf king since he killed the wolves here.

After circling the area, Ye Cheng had still yet to see the wolf King. Bosses were something that could only be met by chance and not searched for.

Hence Ye Cheng could only return to the beginner's village for now.

"ROAAAAAAR"

A loud wolf howling came from deep part of the forest and was getting closer.

Ye Chen instantly concealed himself behind a tree and entered the stealth condition.

A giant majestic black wolf could be seen coming from behind the trees.

Ye Cheng had no other choice but to return to the beginner's village for the time being and think of a plan to kill this boss.
