Dragon Continent, Radiant Sun empire, Azure Sun County, Sliver Spring's City , Purple Horn village.

Vast and obscure mountains towered magnificently forming a boundless mountain range. Purple Horn village was situated within the boundless mountain range, Surrounded by majestic peaks and deep ravines.

Purple Horn village was a medium-sized village, it's population amounted around Seven hundred and fifty people summing up everyone excluding the the slaves and p.r.o.s.t.i.t.u.t.es . The house here were made out of wood and clay with thatched roofs , even Though wooden the house were sturdy and spacious.

inside one of these spacious houses was a room with books and herbs scattered around a wooden cot resting a 15 years old teenager with a pale complexion .

A young male paced relentlessly in front of the cot, his face was filled with concern and worry when ever he looked at the youth laying on the cot. he looked to be thirty years of age and still radiated a youthful glow. although he aged a little , one could see the handsome man once he was. He was dressed in beast fur garments which added to his handsome and Rogue-ish appearance and he was surrounded by an aura similar to that of an Rogue. his concern and worry showed on his face as his eyebrows knitted together almost forming a single lump.

Outside about 7 meters from the room , a group of 6 people were seated. These 6 people were the people from the Bertram family , they basically ran the whole village, nothing gets done in the village without them knowing . the group of 6 contained of a elderly woman Mary Bertram aged 68, her two sons Older one Jason Bertram aged 39 younger one Owain Bertram aged 31 and her eldest daughter-in-law Jenna Bertram aged 35 , her younger daughter-in-law Madison Bertram aged 27 and her adopted-daughter Brenda Bertram aged 30.

Mary is the widow of previous Village Guard Captain and the one of three current village elders. Her Eldest son Jason Bertram is the current Village Chief with her younger son Owain Bertram as current Village Guard and hunting Captain and her adopted-daughter Brenda Bertram is the Mistress of the village's only Brothel and Casino.

Samuel Lee Jones aka little Doc sam is the current Village Doctor, 15 years old. Sam started his practice as doctor at the very young age of 11years old, as the in-name disciple of Miracle doctor Harold he didn't have a hard time gaining the trust and respect of the villagers. Sam unlike other children of the village is week and regularly falls ill since he was a toddler but he had his plus points as Village's only nerd as he spent all his time in the village library but he was intelligent , sly as a fox.

Miracle Doctor Harold, was a famous and respected nomadic doctor for his expertise in herbal medicine and acupuncture, throughout the azure county and surrounding village's. it is rumored that he lost his mother due to getting treatment under a phony Doctor, so he made his mission to spread awareness about medicine among the general populace.

When Sam was 6-years-old Miracle Doctor Harold visited the Purple Horn village , he pronounced that Sam had a very week constitution disabling him from cultivating and that he would die when he turned 16 years old, to which Sam said

' everyone has to die someday '

Miracle Doctor Harold was shocked to see the young child react so m.a.t.u.r.ely to such a tragic news . Seeing the child's high maturity and intelligence Harold decided to take him as his in-name disciple, Harold spent 6 - months in Purple Horn village honing Sam in the area of herbal medicine and acupuncture.

" Little doc is critical for my business, my girls depend on him a lot because of how wildly your men treat them second brother , it would be awful for my business if little Doc passed away you know, him being the only doctor in the village and no other doctor in another 175 miles radius of the village " said Brenda Bertram

" hey don't blame my men , you know your girls like it wild and hard. Sam is not only critical to your business but also to village after the dead of old geezer Brain. if not for little Doc sam the men in hunting squad would have to be more careful , which you know no matter how much careful you are it's never enough out there." said Owain Bertram

Old geezer Brain was the old village doctor and also little Doc Sam was his help, he passed away 3 years ago since then Sam had taken up the position as Village doctor.

" we should have asked him to train some kids from the village " said Madison

" which kids, kids in our village only know to think through their muscle brain or crotch. learning medicine needs real brains" said the Village Chief Jason Bertram.

the village chief sighed and shook his head thinking about the village future in the hands of these d.i.c.khead future generation.

Eric Bertram, eldest son of Jason and Jenna Bertram aged 17. the Bertram family decided to nature him in to a merchant seeing that he had no talent as cultivator or scholar . Madison if little Doc makes it through this night you will give him a mid tier Pruple Horn longevity powder from the family treasury and find a perfect apprentice for him , you know the type I am talking about . also this doesn't mean it's over here , we will schedule the check up again in a later date .

Jenna you make sure your son he knows to keep it in his pants and doesn't destroy this new apprentice again and tell him that he will not receive next 6 months allowance , teach him to respect the village because it is our bread and butter. This village is my husband's legacy I while not tolerate anyone harming his legacy , not even my own grandson.

Jason , I believe you have collected previous 3 months taxes and prepared a proper gift for the official arriving this time. I have received the message that this time it is the City lords sister will be arriving to collect the taxes within ten days, make sure the city and her dwellings are well presented. see to it that your eldest son is well behaved , if everything goes as planned this will be your second son's opportunity to become Dragon among men.

Orian , next few days increase the men assigned for patrolling and increase the no. of guards at night and day time guarding the village. also for these few days ask the hunting squad to focus more on hunting rare beasts for local delicacy for the guests.

It is a well know fact in the village that Mary Bertram is a very viscous and ambitious women who wouldn't hesitate to do anything to gain power , also that she is the true Head of the Bertram family and her children are just the puppets under her control.

Seeing that the whole Bertram family including elder Bertram Visiting Little Doctor Sam , Villagers opinion of Bertram family increased positively.but no one knew what was the actual facts , Orain Bertram and Madison Bertram were married for almost 10 years but still weren't able to have children. Mary Bertram had been very patient with this matter accepting the good news any time soon. but she waited for 10 years and she had enough . Mary didn't allow her son's to have second wife's or concubine's to not increases the family drama and politics . but , now she was considering showthing was wrong with her younger daughter in law . so, she gave her a ultimatum that if little Doctor says she cannot bear children then she had to step off from the position of main wife to her second son and let him marry another one. considering the medieval times Mary was being very tolerant towards this matter.

Thinking it Through , they visited little Doctor Sam at night not to attract attention not knowing that little Doc Sam had fallen unconscious while doing his daily reading.

as the four were about to leave the house , they heard shouts from with in the room.

inside the room the man as he paced around he shouted, more like begged loudly

" sister forgive me , I could not take proper care of little Sammy . I am useless , I couldn't keep up my promise to you sister "
