Rebirth:The Badass Young Lady

Gu Xiao Yue headed towards the head office. She could hear some noises of someone crying or berating coming out of the office even though its door was closed. It was the voice mixed with Xi Ling, Mu Yan and those girls from yesterday.

She just knocked at the door without any fear nor anxiousness.

"Enter." a deep and m.a.t.u.r.e voice came from the inside which was probably the voice of the principal.

She then opened the door and went in with her usual calm expression. She then saw the two Xi couple and the 6 girls who were beaten up by her. They had their guardians with them too. They were crying while being coaxed by their guardians.

When she entered, they all looked at her as if seeing their common enemy and glared at her as if they would pounce at any time to shred her into pieces. But she wasn't scared of it as she just ignored them and stared directly at the eyes of the principal of the school. She had only some occasional memories of him giving speech at some school events. This was the first time Gu Xiao Yue was meeting with the principal face to face.

"Sir, you called me?" she asked that calmly as if the matters weren't related to her at all.

The principal who was also called Yi Guang was slightly impressed by her demeanour as anyone whether guilty or innocent would be either nervous or scared when called in the office. He thought that she wasn't a simple girl.

"Student Xi Xiao Yue, I have got some complaints from your fellow students and your family about some bad deeds that is said to be done by you. Do you have anything to say about it?" he asked her in a calm but serious tone.

Without even letting her reply to him, Mu Yan spoke up abruptly as she said.

" This unfilial daughter! You are really the shame of our family! Daring to leave the house to do such shameless things and even leaving the house for so many days without any information about your location. Do you think it is not enough shame that you have brought for us with just that that you would even beat your own friends! We should have just left you if we knew that you would only ruin our family's face!" Mu Yan was pointing and shouting at her like a shrew.

Although Xi Ling also wanted to berate her but they were still in front of the principal of the school so he didn't dare to. Now that his wife was shouting like a shrew In the market, he was a bit embarrassed and ashamed so he immediately stopped his wife by pulling her arms and scolding her to shut up. Mu Yan stopped saying anything after being scolded by her husband reluctantly.

"Miss Xi, I was asking student Xi Xiao Yue. So please refrain from interrupting as I should still hear the opinion from both sides to be fair in my judgement. Student Xi Xiao Yue, now please tell me your thoughts about this situation." said Mr. Yi as he looked back at Xi Xiao Yue.

" First of all, I am not Xi Xiao Yue anymore as I don't have any blood relation nor legal relation with the Xi family as we have already severed our ties. So they don't have any rights to berate me nor insult me as such as that would be a crime of verbal harassment."

"And about their claims of me doing something shameless and also staying at some boy's house is also a baseless statement as they neither have any evidence nor any witnesses. They can't call themselves as witness for they themselves are saying that they weren't told of anything by me nor did they know where I went. So if I were to be proved innocent then they can even be sued for slandering me." Gu Xiao Yue calmly said that as her words shocked the Xi couple.

They still didn't know that their ties had already been severed as he hadn't checked the contents in the doc.u.ments when he signed out of fear of the men in black. So they were still oblivious to it so they immediately became angry.

"Xi Xiao Yue! You unfilial bastard! What are you saying about having no ties with our Xi family? We have raised you up since you were found in the streets and given you food and shelter and you repay us with this?! Don't you dare ever think of even getting away from us! Even if you have to work to death, you should repay us for these past years of freeloading in the house! You don't even accept that you did something wrong!"

Mu Yan couldn't control her mouth as she berated Gu Xiao Yue and even said such vulgar words.

Gu Xiao Yue's eyes suddenly turned icy cold as in winter which could even freeze a person as she stated straight at the eyes of Mu Yan. Mu Yan and the others were greatly startled by such a cold gaze and the ferocious aura oozing out of Gu Xiao Yue's body.

"Mu Yan, don't you dare talk to me about repaying. Do you think I have been freeloading on that Xi family? I wasn't even 5 years old when I had to do all the house chores and even serve your two daughters like a servant. I endured all the beatings and scolding you gave me even when I wasn't at the wrong."

"I even did part time jobs at the age of 12 just to make more money to support the family. Even the clothes I wear were either the worn out old clothes of your two daughters or the ones I bought with my own money. I always ate the leftovers and would be beaten if I asked for more. Even my weak and timid past me became like that because of your mistreatment and I could only change to this after leaving that hell of a place. So, do you think I still need to repay you?"

Hearing her say all that in front of others made the two husband and wife go pale as they tried to stop her from saying more but why would Gu Xiao Yue listen to them?

" I can even show you the scar from 5 years ago when you poured the hot boiled water on my back just because your daughter, Xi Mei Mei said that I didn't listen to her orders! And now that I don't have any ties with you, I can even go to the police and report a child abuse crime on you Xi family for all the things you have done to me till now."

" You bastard! How dare you threaten us! You are only a bastard child whom I picked up from the streets before! If not because that man paid me money which could help the family, I would never have taken you with me to the Xi family! You would definitely have been dead by now in some other place and you dare to even talk back? I see that we haven't disciplined you enough! Let me teach you a lesson as your legal mother! " Mu Yan shouted out and charged towards Gu Xiao Yue as she raised her hand to slap her face.

Gu Xiao Yue wasn't afraid and was just about to dodge when suddenly the door was kicked open and a bellow came from outside as the figure blocked in front of her and pushed the in coming Mu Yan hard and she fell on the floor.

"I dare you to even touch a single hair in her body if you seek a life worse than death!!"

Gu Xiao Yue's body suddenly trembled a little when she heard the voice and saw the towering shilouette protecting her with his back facing her. That voice resounded to the depth of her heart and warmth filled her cold heart as her eyes teared up.

She opened her mouth as her voice trembled and she called out to the figure gently.
