Rebirth:The Badass Young Lady

"Hey...wake up."

A voice called out to Gu Xiao Yue like a whisper.

"Hey.. I said wake up. Why isn't she budging even a bit? She is really lacking at martial arts. So careless." The voice now sounded clear and it was a bit childish like a toddler's.

Gu Xiao Yue was deep in sleep when she suddenly felt a chilly but weirdly warm air which flowed into her body from her nose like water.

She felt uncomfortable due to the strange feeling so she frowned and squirmed before waking up.

She opened her eyes slowly and what greeted her was a blue sky with no cloud but only a big yellow glowing 'sun' which wasn't a sun 'floating' in the 'sky'.

She was lying on a patch of green grass which felt cold to the touch. Then suddenly, she heard a voice ring right above her head.

"Finally awake, are you? It was really a pain to wake you up, you know. How can you be so relaxed and careless even in your sleep if you had learnt martial arts? Tsk tsk, to think you are the heir of the once supreme bloodline, really the younger generations are declining."

The voice said something about heir and bloodline which confused the already 'muddled with sleep' head of Gu Xiao Yue. But she still instinctively reacted cautiously and got up hurriedly and took a defending stance.

But what came into her sight made her rooted to her place and her eyes widened like a saucer.

She saw a bluish gray figure of a toddler which looked both real and unreal, like a spirit. It was slightly floating above the ground and looking at her with a strange look.

"Who are you?!" Gu Xiao Yue got out of her shock and asked subconsciously.

The spirit-like toddler looked at her with it's calm but fire like eyes and opened his mouth to speak the words that made Gu Xiao Yue even more confused.

"I'm Bai. No surname. I'm the guardian spirit of the 'Heavenly jade gourd', the heritage of %@%@% bloodline. I know that you must have many questions in your head because of the sudden change in your surroundings but worry not. You are not in any harm or danger." said the spirit who called himself as Bai.

' Bai? A guardian spirit? Heavenly jade gourd? And which bloodline? I couldn't hear it clearly. What exactly is happening?' Gu Xiao Yue questioned her confusions inside her head. She didn't relax her stance and looked around the place.

The space around was vast but empty with only a small cottage that stood out from the empty place. Other than the cottage, there was only the blue cloudless sky, the sun-like structure floating in the sky and the vast green grasses on the ground.

"Where in the world am I?" Gu Xiao Yue couldn't help but ask the question inside her head out loud. She was now feeling like she was either dreaming or someone was playing a prank at her.

"You are in the space inside the 'Heavenly jade gourd'. This space looks like this because your spiritual power isn't enough to unlock other structures inside it. Many things are restricted from your use." Bai explained to her about it after seeing how confused she was right now.

" Space? From Heavenly jade gourd...do you mean that worn out, old looking jade pendant that I had in my neck before?" Gu Xiao Yue finally felt like she had understood a little about her situation. She then relaxed her stance a little.

"Yes, it is the space inside that jade gourd. The 'Heavenly jade gourd' has already acknowledged you as it's new master so you get the access to use this space inside of it." Bai said.

"If that is how it is then why couldn't I use it before when I was first acknowledged by the jade gourd?" Gu Xiao Yue asked in doubt.

"That's because you didn't have even a speck of spiritual energy or inner qi inside your body or to be exact, in your soul. Which made it impossible for you to get inside the space and only use a bit of the power from the jade gourd." Bai said that and looked at her as if looking at a disappointment.

" Spiritual energy? My soul? What do you mean? I understand about the power you mentioned and had already guessed that it was originated from the jade gourd. But what do you mean 'only use a bit of it's power'? So you mean it is only a small amount of the power of the gourd that I used before?"

Gu Xiao Yue asked question after question as her confusion had lifted before but then again formed inside her as questions about this situation just popped up one after another inside her brain.

" Let's calm down first. Take a deep breath and then stay calm. After that, I will answer all your questions, that is only if it is allowed to be answered." Bai said as he then floated in front of her.

Gu Xiao Yue also felt that she reacted a bit too hasty so she did as he told her and calmed her nerves even though the questions were many inside her mind.

" Seems like you have calmed down now. Good. So I will start from what the 'Heavenly jade gourd' is and then continue to how you formed a contract with it and then you can ask me anything that is within the boundaries that I can answer." Bai then cleared his throat with a cough and started explaining.

" The 'Heavenly jade gourd' is a godly artifact passed around the generation of the @@%%@% bloodline since a time uncountable. The first ancestor of the @@%%@% bloodline crafted this godly artifact after ascending to god tier in martial arts by himself. It was crafted with all the highest and rarest quality of raw materials and the purest godly qi which is only achieved after cultivating to god tier." he continued.

" Spiritual qi is a mysterious source of energy which is found freely in the atmosphere and it depends on the aptitude of a person to actually gather it inside his soul and cultivate it. The cultivation of a person's soul isn't something that people nowadays think as only fantasy or fiction. It is real. The cultivation world in ancient times have only regressed from newer generation as the dangerous days have long gone and peace surfaced in the earth." Bai then looked at the far distance as if reminiscing about something from his memories.

" Those who achieved great tiers in martial arts hid themselves in a corner of the world or became hermits, hiding their powers and departing their knowledge after accepting disciples. So the world doesn't know the truth of ancient times. The 'Heavenly jade gourd' let's it's user to gain powers beyond any human's imagination. It gives you the 'heaven's eyes' which can see through all the space and time and every existence in this world and a strong body which is kept away from any kind of illness and harm which is lower than the level of one's spiritual energy. "

Bai then turned around to look at Gu Xiao Yue who was listening to him and processing the words he just said inside her brain in high speed.

" This is all that I can tell you about it's use and origin. You have to cultivate your spiritual qi in higher tiers to understand about all of it's origin and why it is attached to you and also, your origin as well." Bai then suddenly looked at her with a weird gaze and said something that made Gu Xiao Yue's whole body to tremble violently in shock.

" Hmm..I know the girl before. She wasn't really the heir of that bloodline and the 'Heavenly jade gourd' didn't even react to her blood once when she was 10 years old and beaten by her mother." Bai muttered to himself then questioned her with his doubtful but certain eyes.

" You...who are you? Or to ask it other way, who are you spiritually?"
