Chapter 20 - 20: The Fortress

After giving them some weapons, clothes, and making sure they know the direction of the cave. I then drove to the hornets nest, Fortress Glacier. Its 2 kilometers north of the capital, is the most heavily defended, the largest, and one of the most garrisoned fortress in Blizzon, reaching up to 200,000 soldiers stationed. I got this information from no other than himself, King Rafael.

If your thinking of attacking the fortress, you need to have an army with a man power of a million people, or be very crazy to attack them, possibly both. And I'm the latter, with only four people attacking with a Humvee. I got a special gift for them.

●[Soldier's POV]

"Hey, what is that?"

"I don't know, but it looks very fast!"

"Sound the bell!"

*cling* *cling* *cling*

My comrades then got out of the barracks, readied their weapons and went to their post.

●[Felix's POV]

I then saw rows and rows of archers lined up at the fortress wall. I stopped Humvee, went to the hatch in the back and readied the M134 minigun. I then grabbed a megaphone to speak to them. We were 100 meters away from them.

"Hello!"

*chuckle* Look at their face hearing me speak through the megaphone.

"I want to meet General Clark!"

After a few minutes of waiting, 2 people riding a horse came. The Soldier pointed a crossbow at me, the other wearing a decorated uniform. They keep a distance of 10 meters.

"I am General Clark, what do you want!"

"Karla, its your turn."

I then switched place with Karla.

"My name is Princess Karla Winter!"

Everyone from the fortress was stunned to hear from the Princess. But the general shouted to the the soldiers.

"Everyone! Don't be fooled by the witch! The witch will destroy Blizzon and its people!"

"No! I am not a witch! To anyone in the fortress listening! Those who are loyal to the crown, please, help us! You are being controlled by a corr-"

"Lies! The witch is lying! Don't be fooled and ready your weapons!"

Shit, I quickly pulled Karla down just before an arrow flown by. Then the general retreated back to the Fortress and foot soldiers with shield made a formation outside.

I then went back to the hatch

"I'm going to give you one last chance! Surrender!"

"With only you? Bwahahahah!"

The whole base was mocking me. Lets see about that.

I then grabbed the M134 handle, switch on the power, and its ready to rain hell on the enemy. But, lets make an example not to mess with me.

I aimed the M134 at a nearby forest, and pressed the trigger.

*Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrttttttttttttttttttttt*

Hot brass shells being churned out of the M134 in unbelievable rate. Trees turned into swiss chess.

"Timber!"

I wanted to say that for a long time. Multiple tress cut down in a second. I then aimed it at the soldiers who were absolutely terrified of the fire power being pointed at them.

"How about that! Do you still don't want to surrender?"

But before the general could do anything, thousands of soldier ran away, hearing the thunderous firing of the M134 and seeing the trees look like butter being sliced by a hot and speedy death machine.

More than 20,000 soldiers escaped, leaving only 180,000 soldiers which is still a lot, but hopefully demoralized in the process. The General frantically keeping his forces under control.

"Look at what the witch brought! A demon! If you don't go out there and stop him, all of Blizzon will feel its wrath!"

One of my eyebrows raised up from the statement. Then thousands of foot soldiers formed shield walls in and archers knocking their bow at me at the top of the wall.

"Sally! Keep us away from the archers line of fire!"

"Got it Foxy!"

Then Sally drove the Humvee before the first wave of arrow hit our previous position. That was close! I then aimed the M134 at the line of archers on top of the wall.

*Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrtttttttttttttttttttttttttttt*

They got completely decimated, while the General was possibly hiding behind Fortress thick wall. Smart decision, but that won't help if I went inside. But first is the wall of shield. Easy, I aimed the M134 at them and fired.

That only took me 10 seconds to sweep to one side another. Almost all of the soldiers were riddled with holes, some lived but badly injured with dismembered limbs. 30,000 thousand soldiers dead or heavily injured.

When hundreds of horse cavalry charged towards me. Are they suicidal! I then aimed at the ground, in front of the horses path.

*Brrrrrrrtttttttttttt*

Good thing the horses are smart. They quickly stopped and thrown of some of their riders, then the horse ran away from the carnage. But some who didn't fall off, still charged at me recklessly. *sigh* This is just a complete massacre. I aimed above the horses, targeting their riders.

*Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrttttttttttttttt*

All of the cavalry soldiers died while the horses escaped, some even carrying the dead body with them.

"Do you still want to continue? I'm giving you a chance to surrender and end this worthless fight."

"Don't believe him! His tricking you!"

"No I'm not."

I got off the Humvee and raised my hands.

"If you soldiers don't want to become a rotting corpse. I want you to hand me the General. The King will forgive all the soldiers in this Fortress from the crime of treason."

"Don't be-believe him! His go-going to kill all of you!"

But the soldiers were clearly angry at the stuttering general. Sending soldiers and soldiers to death, knowing he can avoid that by surrendering. Avoiding other soldiers from seeing their comrades and friends from dying needlessly. A total of 30,500 soldiers dead.

They grabbed him and sent the bound and squirming general to me like a sack on a horse. I asked the 3 soldiers carrying the general.

"Who will be your new general?"

"I don't know."

A young blonde man showed up.

"Are you not angry? I just massacred thousands of your comrades, possibly some of your friends?"

"If its from the order of the King, we will obliged to his wish. We are the ones who are fools to follow this corrupt General, no, a criminal."

He looked at the eyes of the General menacingly.

"Why are y-you disobeying me!? You should be my ri-right hand man!"

"I am always loyal to the crown. You just used me, like my comrades. Believing what you are saying is true.

But I saw, I saw that you only cared for your own self. Selfishly sending my friends to death. Killing others who did not follow your views. I hated it! We, hate it!"

When he suddenly draw his sword and kick the general of the horse.

"Argh!"

The General g.r.o.a.n.e.d from the painful fall. He then put his sword on the generals neck.

"Can I do the honor to chop this criminal's head off?"

When Karla suddenly got out of the Humvee.

"No, I will do it."

This is the first time I seen her angry. When he recognized the princess.

"Pri-Princess!"

He then quickly kneeled in front of her, the escorts doing the same.

"Please stand."

He then followed the command of Karla. She then pulled out her M1911

"I have suffered because of this man's rumors. Saying I am a monster when in truth he is the monster. Sending soldiers to capture me, my Mom, my Dad, and even killed some of the servants and guards trying to protect me. Just because you wanted leverage to control the country!"

She then racked the slide of the M1911 chambering a bullet and fired a shot beside his head.

"Heee!"

"Everyone will know that the witch you created is the one will kill you."

I then placed a hand on Karla's shoulder.

"Are you sure you want to do this? You will paint your hands red forever, never washing off."

"Yes."

"No! Wai-*bang*"

He tried to say something but a .45 ACP round went through his skull and killed him instantly. Karla asked the name of the stunned young blonde man.

"What's your name?"

"Ri-Rico, Rico Gart."

"Rico Gart, I will asked Dad to recommend you being the new general of Fortress Glacier."

"Th-thank you so much Princess!"
