Reborn As A Fox Beastman With Modern Knowledge

Two days later, Philip and Queen Isabel started their discussion on the alliance between their two countries. Before the meeting began, I tried to join with Philip but he just said I did a good job and that it's his responsibility now.

So I'm just waiting outside, thinking of something to stem my boredom while Sally, Lillian, and Karla are at the city doing girl stuff I guess. Then Ruby showed up, with the bunny girl beside her.

"Felix! I was meaning to ask you something."

"What is it?"

"Wo-would you like to go to the city?"

There's nothing I could do here anyway.

"Sure."

"Thank you, Felix! Let's go!"

While Ruby and I were browsing the wares, I started a conversation with the bunny girl.

"I think I haven't ask you this but what's your name?"

"Sheryl Manda."

"So you're the new bodyguard for Ruby?"

"Yes, I was given the opportunity to serve the Princess."

After the assault on the castle, I suggested to Queen Isabel that Ruby should have a bodyguard with her, knowing what nearly happened to her. So I suggested the bunny girl to Queen Isabel.

"Congratulations, you deserve it."

Her expression remains stoic but I saw a hint of a smile on her face.

"Thank you, Sir Felix."

"These necklaces look beautiful!"

On one of the stalls, different kinds of necklaces are displayed. Ruby grabbed one of the necklaces from the display that is shaped like a fox.

"Do you like that missy?"

The old woman who is sitting beside the stall asked.

"I like it very much!"

"Glad you like it, it cost five silver coins for that particular one missy."

When Ruby heard the price, she was disappointed with how much it cost.

"This is a bit too expensive, it was nice to look at though."

"Too bad, please come back again."

"I will."

After Ruby and her bodyguard, Sheryl left the stall, I grab 5 silver coins from my pouch and discreetly hand it to the old woman.

"I'll take the fox necklace."

"*giggle* Here you go young man."

"Thank you."

I pocketed the Fox necklace before someone is shouting at me.

"Felix! You're going to be left behind!"

Ruby is waving her hands at me.

"Coming!"

When I was leaving the stall, I manage to hear the old woman say something.

"Ah... to be young again."

I then catch up with them.

"Sorry about that."

"It's ok Felix."

Good, she didn't notice.

"Do you want to eat something? There are some food stalls over there."

"Sure!"

"How about you Sheryl, you want to eat something?"

"Me? I guess where Princess Ruby might go."

We then went to a stall that sells freshly cooked meat skewers.

"How much is a skewer?"

I ask the cook.

"That's two copper coins."

"3 Skewers then."

"Here's your skewers!"

I then pay the cook six copper coins.

"Enjoy!"

I then pass one skewer to Ruby...

"Thank you, Felix."

And to Sheryl.

"You don't really have to Sir Felix."

"It's ok you know? Even if you're guarding Ruby doesn't mean you can't eat with us."

"Sheryl, it's fine. There's no need to always look out for me. You can just enjoy eating with us."

"If you say so, Princess Ruby."

After finishing our skewers, we head back to the castle.

When we arrive back at the castle. A servant greeted us saying that Philip is asking for my presence in the conference hall, including Ruby's presence. Sheryl who is a bodyguard is duty-bound to follow Ruby.

When we arrived at the conference hall, Philip and Queen Isabel is casually drinking tea.

"Son, we've been expecting you."

"What is it, Philip?"

"First, sit down Felix, Ruby, including you Sheryl."

Queen Isabel offered. Both Ruby and I sat down on the couch while Sheryl remains standing.

"Also, do you want some tea?"

Queen Isabel offered me, Ruby, and Sheryl a cup of tea.

"Thank you, Queen Isabel"

"Thank you, Mother."

"I'm ok my Queen, it's my job to look after you and your daughter."

"Ok then."

When I took a sip of tea, it was quite delicious.

"Son, now that we're finished finalizing the Alliance. Would you kindly transport Isabel and her cute daughter, Ruby to Silfridia? It would also be a good experience for them to visit our country when they gave us great hospitality in theirs."

"That's a nice idea, Philip. So tomorrow noon?"

"That sounds good, how about you Isabel? Do you accept?"

"Well be in your care then."

"M-me too."

After we're done talking, I directly went to the Black Hawk to do some inspecting before tomorrow's flight. While doing some inspections, Sally, Lillian, and Karla are back from their trip to the city.

"How did your trip go?"

"It was fun Foxy!"

"There was a lot of product I haven't seen Hubby!"

"It was interesting Felix."

"That's good, the important thing is that you enjoyed it."

"Why are you inspecting the helicopter Hubby? Are we going back to Silfridia?"

"Tomorrow noon, Queen Isabel and Ruby will be joining us."

"We have to get ready then, we'll be waiting in the bedroom."

"Ok."

"Queen Isabel, Ruby, are you comfortable?"

"Where ok Felix."

"Am I act-actually going to fly in this?"

Ruby, who is a bit nervous asked.

"Yup, and don't worry, this is safe."

"Ok."

I then closed the side hatch and get in the c.o.c.kpit with Lillian. I slowly raised the collective, the Black Hawk now lifting off the ground. After a few minutes of flying, we are flying over the expansive forest that took three hours in the Humvee.

"Where really high up!"

Ruby talking through the mic in the headphone.

"We're 1,000 meters off the ground by the way."

"Really, that high!?"

"Yup, it can also go up to an altitude of 5,800 meters."

"So how did you made this Felix?"

Queen Isabel interjects.

"I have the power to create items."

"Ah, that's why you can make this thing."

"But I do have a limitation on my power though."

"Which is?"

"I have a cooldown."

"Even with the cooldown, it's still a good ability."

"Thanks."

[A Few Hours Later]

"This is Silfrid everyone."

I announce to everyone in the back.

"This is a nice city, Philip"

"Whoa! It's beautiful!"

Queen Isabel and Ruby commented.

"Thanks, I keep it well maintained."

I did a few l.a.p.s around Silfrid before landing at the Castle. I think Queen Isabel and Ruby enjoyed that, judging from their expression.

After the last l.a.p was done, I land it on the front lawn.

When Philip got off from the Black Hawk, he stretches both his arms and said...

"Welcome to my home."

to Queen Isabel and Ruby.

"Thank you for your hospitality."

"Th-thank you, King Philip."

"I'll get the servants to serve dinner."

While Philip is fetching the servant, I notice that Sally, Lillian, and Karla are talking to Ruby rather excitedly, and Ruby seemed to be embarrassed.

"Come on Ruby! Just tell us."

Sally ask.

"I-I'm a bit embarrassed te-telling you."

Ruby glance at me and quickly look away when she also sees me looking at her.

"I get it, let's talk abo..."

I didn't get what Karla is saying to Ruby with her whispering, but it's not my business anyway, I think. They then led Ruby (more like dragged) into the castle.

Leaving me and her bodyguard, Sheryl. I kinda forgot that Sheryl was also on board with how silent she was. I attempt to talk to her...

"Uhm... do you need room to stay in? I'll call a servant to get you a..."

"No need, I can just stand guard here all night."

"Are you sure? Wouldn't you be exhausted if you don't rest? I'm sure that the guards here will make sure everythi..."

"I'm sure. If I have too, I could just sleep in barracks."

She gave me the most straightforward answer.

I then went inside the castle, leaving the stoic bunny girl. I went to the kitchen to say hi to the Chefs and help in the cooking.
