This was the year Eddie looked forward to most he was finally turning 12. Though he wasn't the only one looking forward to it, his mother had already planned it all out. They were taking a family trip to Metropolis.

He didn't really have much say when his mother dragged both him and his father to the airport. Hours later they were landing in metropolis and grabbing dinner.

Later that night they were sitting in the Hotel room when the lights went out. Static could be heard from the Tv. "You are not alone." The woods echoed as they could both see and hear them.

"My name is General Zod. I come from a world far from yours. I have journeyed across an ocean of stars to reach you." A man wearing a mask could barely be seen on the TV.

"Shit," Eddie remembered this happened in the Man of Steel movie.

"Eddie watch your mouth." his mom yelled Eddie quickly apologized returning his attention to the TV.

"For some time, your world has sheltered one of my citizens. I request that you return this individual over to my custody.

For reasons unknown, he has chosen to keep his existence from you a secret. He will have made efforts to blend in. He will look like you. But he is not one of you.

To those of you who may know of his current location, the fate of your planet rests in your hands. To Kal-El, I say this: surrender within twenty-four hours... or watch this world suffer the consequences."

"Shit." Eddie could hear his mother whisper under her breath but only Eddie knew how bad this truly was. They were probably in the worst place possible at the worst possible time.

He went to sleep that night preparing himself mentally for what was going to take place the next day.

The next morning Autumn decided to let Eddie sleep in she could tell he was worried about something. Though had he warned her about what was going to happen later today she would have rethought that.

"Honey I have a meeting, it's about that message on the TV I'll be back later today." Elias kissed his wife on the cheek before walking out the door.

When Eddie finally woke up his mom was watching the news. In Smallville, Kansas he could see superman fighting Zod's soldiers.

"Mom where's dad?" Eddie asked not seeing him anywhere around. "He had a meeting. Why." His mom continued watching TV shocked by the destruction Kryptonians caused.

Eddie himself had already made his way to his mom's phone calling his father. straight to voicemail, Eddie texted ' Dad where are you.'

He released a long breath one he didn't even realize he was holding once he saw his father Text back ' getting Cofee with some business partner's I'll be back soon.'

Eddie waited no longer the destruction caused in Smallville was controlled. Smallville was basically a ghost town when superman fought Faora. It would be like Godzilla was released once superman and Zod reached Metropolis.

Edited closed his eyes looking inside himself, he smiled when he found it a lock had more appeared around his c.h.e.s.t. He hadn't been able to find it before today, he raised his hand unlocking it. He could care less about his emotions right now his father was in danger. Power flowed through his body and he felt like a piece of him that was missing had finally been found.

Beautiful white wings appeared on his back with his small frame they seemed out of place. He had already thought things through he couldn't save people with his own face. Not with people like Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor out there, and he didn't want to do it as an older version of himself. He closed his eyes imagining the person he wanted to look like and once he opened them the ground seemed father away.

His face and body had changed to that of Chris Evans aka Captain America his clothes grew to match. If you're going to fly around with angel wings, why not do so in the body of Marvel's Captain America.

Eddie smiled as he took off into the sky although it was his first flight he soon caught the hang of it. Lex Luthor's intelligence came in handy when needed.

Once Eddie arrived his Eyes Zoomed in on both Superman and Zod.

"I was bred to be a warrior, Kal. Trained my entire life... ...to master my senses. Where did you train? On a farm?" Zod removed his armor before slowly lifting himself into the air floating inches above the ground.

Superman was about to attack but before he could he saw a blur fly past him. Eddie took it out upon himself flying past superman he raised his palm backhanding Zod sending him flying into a building down below. Eddie knew his best chance was to catch him off guard, they had already destroyed enough of the city he didn't want to risk more.

"After him boy Scout, I'm sure that slap hurt but it might have just made him angrier." Superman huffed before flying after Zod.

Zod crashed into the floor holding his face before he could react Superman had put him in a chokehold. Civilians escaped as quickly as they could Zod noticed them he breathed out before turning to Superman. "If you love... ...these people so much... ...you can mourn for them." Zod's eyes started to burn red and Superman knew his plan a family if three were standing frightened in the corner across from them.

"Don't do this!, Stop!, Stop!" He screamed at Zod. "Never." Zod's heat vision inched closer and closer to the humans trapped in the corner. Superman had no choice he snapped Zod's neck sending shockwaves throughout the building.

Looking down at Zod Superman was devastated he had just killed the last of his kind.( supergirl shows up in a couple months as a 13-year-old.) He yelled releasing his emotions the pain, anger, and sadness could be felt.

Eddie was helping trapped civilians while simultaneously looking for his father. His wings made him stand out, most were afraid but once he lifted some rubble helping free trapped civilians they started to think of him as an Angel. He had even run into a certain billionaire playboy before finally heading back home.

Once in the air, his body shrunk returning to its regular size. His face morphed back into Eddie Thawne it felt more natural. Once back at the hotel he snuck into the shower, washing off the dirt and grime from lifting rubble. Leaving the bathroom he used a towel to dry his hair, his mom and dad were both sitting on the couch watching the news.

"And where exactly have you been young man." Eddie paused looking at his mom " I was at the pool." He quickly lied walking towards the kitchen.

"The Angel of Metropolis," a man with Angel wings could be seen on the TV lifting rubble from destroyed building allowing those trapped inside to safely make it out. Eddie was surprised seeing himself on the news.

AN: I couldn't really do much with Man of Steel because it's an amazing movie. This happens a year before Eddie met Lilith. after this, he started losing his emotions, but mainly his love for his family. Some may say this was a waste of a chapter but this allows us to see how strong he currently is and opens the door for the next chapter and those that will follow. I didn't edit or re-read.
