Ryzen POV

"Just like what I told you before, the heavens truly have a way of doing things. Because you stayed by that man's side, he was able to draw strength from you and you were able to inspire him to continue improving himself."

When I heard the familiar voice, I instantly shivered. How many years has it been since I last heard that!?

I forced myself to calm down, so I can state my reply in a composed manner.

"Sorcellerie! How long has it been? I was trying to contact you when the heavens suddenly showed that particular dream to my husband."

Surprisingly, even though I was already expecting that his voice would suddenly disappear again, he replied.

"Indeed. The heavens were merciful enough, were they not? They even allowed you to disclose that to him. It only made your souls more intertwined with each other."

My eyes got a bit teary. Even though I could not physically see him, communicating with him like this again evokes nostalgic feelings.

"From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I am indebted to the heavens for everything that I have..." I murmured.

After I said that, there was a long silence.

Instead of being annoyed though, I smirked. Some things never change, hmm? He would say something randomly and disappear quickly after that.

Truthfully, I never expected that I would be able to communicate with Sorcellerie again. After all, I already completed that mission a long time ago.

It is quite fascinating that he would communicate to me again in this particular day, the last day of Lennox's presidency.

Within six years, he was really able to implement his vision.

Because he was loyal to the nation, the people followed him and in turn, they were loyal to it as well.

It was not an easy ride and not every moment was perfect. There were some things that did not go exactly the way that he planned it.

Nevertheless, a new nation was born.

After running for more terms as a mayor in La Coron City, he became a representative in the congress and finally, he ran for presidency.

It was a landslide victory and it has been something that the public has been looking forward to for a long time.

With everything that happened, I am so incredibly proud. The nation we have now is full of bright future ahead. It was a stark contrast to the way it was decades ago.

But then, this is only the beginning.

What I loved the most about the changes was the prioritisation for the healthcare and research sectors.

Before, the healthcare industry was not as valued as other industries. They had bare minimum wages despite working endless shifts. And so, most did not have the choice but to flee the country and work overseas instead, where they find governments who truly value the nature of their work.

On the other hand, the research sector was boosted with proper investment. The government played its cards well and now, they are reaping the benefits. Many sectors benefited from research, especially the healthcare, transportation and agricultural sectors.

I'd say, it was really critical that the agricultural sector benefited.

Before, even though we were considered as an agricultural country, it was the agricultural sector that was neglected the most.

But now, it is thriving once again. With the help of the research sector, agriculture in the country was modernised. The researchers in our country was able to create practical solutions to help our farmers and fishermen. With that, local food was patronised and domestic food supply boosted.

Really... Lennox is just too amazing. But of course, it was not only his work, but the collective work of the people seating in the current government.

The majority of the people who were seated in the government now are genuine representatives of the people. They know the hardships of the country based on first-hand experience so therefore, they are able to identify easily with the citizens.

Although not totally eradicated, there were only a handful of successful capitalists seated in the government seats.

Gone were the circus of clowns. Now, we had scientists, civil society workers, labour leaders and lawyers who advocates for marginalised sectors seated as our public officials...

Overall, during Lennox's presidency, the economy boosted and the poverty rate went down as well.

As the first lady, I tried my best to keep up with him, advocating mostly for healthcare and research. Truthfully, I am thankful because there were also numerous political advisors guiding me.

Just like what I did originally, I focused on medical research. In actuality, I have collaborated quite a few times with Dr. Rose Ferrada, who I fondly call 'Aunt Rose' now. Throughout the years, I have gotten naturally closer to her and Zaynah, with them treating me as their adopted family.

It is in a sense, quite ironic. But even though that is the case, it has worked well for me. I am more than grateful with how things are...

I might be biased in saying this, but I certainly believe that Lennox did a good job governing. I am proud of the president he became and how he had influenced this nation.

It was a thrilling to see the 'new normal' that he had started, pushing citizens to be brave and critical.

Moving forward with social solidarity, a change can no longer be resisted, even if our culture instinctively makes us cling to old ways.

"Mama, why are you spacing out for?"

Almost instantly, I stopped reminiscing and refocused myself on the present.

I smiled at the person who just called me, my first-born, Tarah.

Every time I look at her, I still could not believe how time flew so fast... that now, she's really blossoming into a young lady.

When Tarah was born, Zaynah and Aunt Rose were surprised, because she looked eerily similar to my original body. I did not see it at first, but as Tarah got older, she really looked more like my original body.

However, she did not get my curly brown hair and hazel green eyes. Overall though, her facial features made her look like a mini version of my original body.

Out of all my children, I worry the most about her. Tarah is a very spoiled kid. She is always used to praises and in a sense, she expects everything to go her way.

Sometimes, I wonder if this is due to the indulgence she gets from both the Yu and Zevallos family as their first grandchild. It did not help that naturally, even Zaynah and Aunt Rose spoiled her too.

In fact, as early as now, Tarah was already the heir to the Costales and Yu business empire.

Ever since she was younger, she was continually being trained by her grandfather, Kenneth. From the very start, she already had her heart set on business and I guess, it helped that she was a natural leader growing up.

Although Tarah may look snobbish, just like how she appears right now as she stares at me with a curious expression, I know that this child is actually very sensitive and soft inside.

I smiled meaningfully and shook my head a little.

"It's nothing. I was just feeling a little bit sentimental. Shall we go to where they are?" I asked her.

Tarah nodded at me and together, we walked over to a large assembly area.

When we arrived though, there was still the media around. They were still interviewing Lennox, who maintained a polite facade as he answered their questions.

Even though the heavens gave me a glimpse of how he'd look like in his middle age before, it is really different seeing it in reality.

Lennox is still as handsome as before and truthfully, his age only made him more attractive. I guess, along with good genes, it was because he consciously made effort to take good care of his body and looks as well.

"Do you want any of your kids to run for the presidency someday just like you, Sir?" one of the interviewers asked.

Almost instantly, Lennox had an answer.

"That is not up to me to decide at all. My children will decide their own fate. Besides, to be a public servant, you really have the genuine heart for it. One's relations should not be considered as a basis."

Frankly, I can foresee that our children do not have interest to run as a public servant. For instance, just by looking at Tarah, she was already entangled with the business world instead.

While contemplating on it, my eyes brightened as I saw two familiar figures walking closer to Tarah and I.

A teenage boy was holding a little girl in his arms. As soon as the little girl saw me, she squealed.

"Mama!"

She quickly removed herself from the teenage boy and ran towards me.

I smiled at the sight, being greeted by the little girl's wide smile.

The little girl reached out her arms to me and instinctively, I carried her into my arms. She was satisfied, as she wrapped her arms around my neck and held me tightly.

Unable to resist her charms, I put a soft, feathery kiss on her slightly chubby cheeks. When I did that, the little girl giggled adorably.

Moving my sight away from her, I gazed at the teenage boy in front of me.

"Was your sister naughty?" I asked.

The boy only shook his head.

"It's fine, Mama. She was well-behaved and listened to me." he replied respectfully.

As expected with this one, hmm? I only smiled meaningfully at him.

The teenage boy, Neo, was only three years younger than Tarah. He looked exactly like Lennox, with the Zevallos genes very evident on him. Even though he was only 16 years old right now, he was already taller than me. In a few years, he may even exceed his father's height.

Neo was gentle, reliable and observant. Often, it would seem like he was the oldest out of all of them because of his calm nature.

He was very unlike his sisters, who are loud enough to wake up the dead. He is rather reserved, leaning a bit more on the introverted side.

Sometimes, I worry about him because he is too discreet. I often wonder if he became this way because of what transpired during his childhood...

When they were younger, Tarah was very aggressive and would often 'bully' him.

In fact, when Kristine visited once, she said that Tarah and Neo's dynamics was almost like hers and Lennox's when they were younger. However, Tarah is more bold than her and Neo does not even fight back Tarah's rudeness.

I understood that Tarah was acting that way because she was used to being an only-child before, but those years were really stressful. Everyday, Tarah was doing mischievous tricks and Neo always ended up crying...

Thankfully though, as years passed, their sibling relationship grew closer. In fact, right now, I would say that they treat each other very good. Tarah would randomly buy gifts for Neo and always treat him food, as if she was compensating for the way she treated him during their childhood.

"Why are they taking too long talking to Papa?" the little girl said in an impatient tone.

I chuckled a little and patted her head softly.

"Reign, you have to be patient, remember? It's okay, soon, we will be able to go home." I said softy.

Reign only pouted as she tightened her hold on me.

I stared at her as I fixed her disshelved hair. The pink headband she wore matched with her pink dress, making her look more adorable. Looking at her like this, she mostly got the Zevallos genes as well. Some were already saying that she looked exactly like her grandmother, Lillian Zevallos.

Reign, my youngest child, is only 6 years old. I was tense at first because of the massive age difference between her and her older siblings, but my worries were unfounded.

Neo, in particular, is very close to Reign. He doesn't mind spending time with her and playing with her.

But on the other hand, it is the cheeky Tarah who have not let go of her tactics.

Tarah would always tease the little girl. Almost everyday, they would always have playful banters and make-up afterwards.

Although it is like that, overall, I am just very happy that they all have warm connections with each other.

More than anything, I hope that they would grow up to be kind people. I hope that they would uphold the morals and principles that their father and I want to pass to them.

Being a mother, for me, is priceless. I am grateful to have become one.

I did not experience maternal love growing up, so I was anxious at first. I was terrified that I would not be able to do a good job at being a mother.

But then, I had a lot of people supporting me and guiding me. Lennox, especially, has been my anchor.

Admittedly, I am not a perfect mother. However, what I know is, I am sure that I will do everything for my children.

"Oh, Reign. Will you ever stop being a whiny brat? I thought you said that you didn't wanna be treated like a baby anymore? Then why are you acting like one?" Tarah suddenly said, rolling her eyes.

The little girl in my arms glared at her fiercely, which Tarah didn't pay any attention to.

"Who are you calling a whiny brat, you phony!" Reign said in an aggrieved tone.

As they started with their banters, I could not help but shake my head. Even Zaynah and I weren't like that before...

Suddenly, Reign stopped on the middle of her banter with Tarah. Her eyes glistened at the sight of the familiar figure walking towards us.

"Papa!" Reign shouted.

Instantly, when Lennox stood near me, Reign removed herself from my grasp and reached out her arms to Lennox. He let out a low chuckle before willingly getting Reign from my arms.

Always a papa's girl, huh?

"Are you done, Papa?" Reign asked enthusiastically.

"Yes... we can go home now." Lennox answered with his deep voice.

Before we could even make any arrangements though, a reporter called us.

"Wait! President! I apologise, but we still need to take a photograph of you with your family."

Reign grumbled loudly while Tarah and Neo quietly complied.

With no choice, we all arranged ourselves in a large sofa. Lennox and I were in the middle, with Reign sitting on his lap. On the other hand, Tarah was sitting next to me. Neo was was on the other side, sitting next to Lennox instead.

While the staff were still arranging their photoshoot equipments, I could not help but savour this moment.

Who would've thought, I'd build a family like this with Lennox?

I never thought that I could be this happy... I never thought that I could fall in love more madly with Lennox.

Before posing for the camera, there was a moment where Lennox and I just looked at each other's eyes, as if there was something only the two of us could understand.

Suddenly, he held my waist and placed a soft kiss on my cheek.

"A realised dream, all because of you." he murmured softly, almost sounding like a whisper.
