'I always wondered why I wasn't chosen by a four leaf clover. Why someone loved by mana could only use a standard 3 leaf? But now I finally know... I don't need luck.'

Unlike Asta who needed to draw out his devil's power to fight, or Yuno who had to gather everyone elses mana to create that sword, the power I achieved-- the [Breath of the Storm] was all my own. While those two relied on external support to power up. My power came from within. The overwhelming mana and potential housed in this body more than made up for anything else I was lacking.

As for why I was able to able to perform solo union magic, the reason was actually quite simple. After Luck came back from their trip in the Underwater sea temple, he told me about how he and Magna combined their lightning and fire attributes to form a new powerful spell that eclipsed anything they had invidivually.

Since then I've been trying to gradually fuse two different attributes of my own magic together without success. But then everything changed when I awakened my dormant blood. Despite being loved by mana in my human form, I wasn't able to blend those attributes together, but once I achieved my elven form I understood everything.

And while it took some getting used to, it became obvious that in this form mana no longer loved me. It WORSHIPED me.

And what do you do when something worships you? You take advantage of it!

Having mana basically bending over backwards for me, I fȯrċɨbŀƴ fused the two elements together and achieved this new power. Unfortunately my body wasn't strong enough to house the violent nature of the storm, this led to the creation of the [Stormguard], a form that augments my body into a state capable of utilizing [Breath of the Storm] without it tearing me apart from the inside.

---

Watching Asta and Yuno's figure flash through the sky to block off the descending storm of swords, I breathed in deeply as memories of the past flashed through my mind.

Surviving the witches forrest...

The daily spars with sister Theresa...

Working with Rebecca in the restaurant...

Meeting the Black Bulls...

Everything I'd ever done involved training in one form or another. And now I'd meet the very thing my magic was made to fight again-- How could I not feel excited.

But now that very same enemy was going to die as a side effect of my magic. I should be proud. Overjoyed! But why is it that I feel disappointed? I'm winning aren't I? But do I want to win this way? Yeah he might die because of me, but could I really say I killed him? If anything, the thing that ended him would be my magic and not me.

And I refuse to lose to anything! Even my own magic!

[A/n: Grim based AF]

You hear me King! If the Devil is gonna die, it'll be because of my blade! Not the magic you chose for me!

*Crackle*

'I will win this.'

*Crackle* .

'I will beat him.'

*Crackle*

'So keep sitting there like you always do.'

*Crackle*

'And watch me.'

*BOOM!!*

*FWOOSH!!*

"WHOAA!!"

"WHAT THE-

With wind and lightning crackling and swirling around his, figure, like the calm before the storm, everything turned silent then-

*BOOM!!*

He unleashed the storm.

*SWOOSH!!* *SWOOSH!!* *SWOOSH!!*

"H-He's dodging everything..."

Combining the speed of [Breath of Thunder] with the agility of [Breath of Wind] and his [Hyperfocus], watching him weave and swerve through the storm of swords was truly a sight to behold.

Coming up to Asta and Yuno's figures, the two sensed his approach and put everything they had in creating an opening.

Knowing that time was running out, the two rapidly slashed their swords until they had formed a small gap for Grim to slip through.

""GOOOOO!!"" They yelled.

Turning into what could only be described as a blur, he broke through the gap in the storm of swords and flashed right in front of the bleeding devil.

'Time's almost up. If I don't hit him now, then my magic will kill him!'

Watching the black coloured blade pulse out lightning and grey winds, the devil knew its time was up, but even if that was the case, he wouldn't let Grim humilate him by cutting his body. If he was gonna die, he'd die knowing that in his final moments, nobody could touch him.

'I will have the last laugh!'

But just as he was about to open his mouth and speak, it was as if an invisible blade appeared out of nowhere and cut into him causing him to scream and waste what little magic was left in his voice.

'No! My magic!'

'This ki... It's YAMI'S!!-- THAT SON OF A BITCH IS TRYING TO STEAL MY KILL!'

Realizing that his time was up and his magic had all been used up, the Devil revealed his final cry.

"THIS- THIS WASN'T PART OF MY PLAN! EVERYTHING WAS SUPPOSED TO FALL INTO PLACE! THE ELVEN EXTINCTION! THE AGE OF HUMANS! THE RISE OF THE EYE OF THE MIDNIGHT SUN! I PLANNED FOR IT ALL! THIS WORLD WAS SUPPOSED TO BECOME MY PLAYGROUND! SO WHY... WHY DID YOU HAVE TO APPEAR!!"

Hearing his pitiful cries, a smile formed on Grim's face as he held his sword with two hands and raised it high above his head. "That's the funny thing about plans Zagred, until they actually happen, they're nothing more than childish delusions."

!!!

"WHO ARE YOU!"

"I'm A Demon Slayer."

And with that, Grim brought his blade down--

[Breath of the Storm: 1st Form - Heavens Fall]

*SLASH!!*

'To lose to a child of two inferior races... How... Humiliating...'

Feeling the sword cutting through his body, violent winds descend down on Zagred's body cutting him to shreds while flashes of lightning turned whatever was left of him into ash and scattered him through the air.
