Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate

But somehow there is an undecipherable sadness within those eyes. It's like he is missing someone who is dearest to him. He always had that same emotion in his eyes whenever he looked at his beloved niece.

Evan's eyes trailed after his father's gaze and noticed it was Aeinshia. Part of him knows, what his father's gaze meant and part of him didn't understand why his father asked him to stop in his tracks. Evan never understood what was that untold sadness, that maintains itself, whenever his eyes were on Aeinshia. 

Was he trying to find a shadow of late aunt Beatrice in Aeinshia? 

Both of them look similar. Infact, Aeinshia is a copy of Late Beatrice and no one could find much difference between the. But both are different in their own ways, it's so unlike of his father. 

What's going on in his mind? 

Is he asking me to comfort him? 

But, what am I supposed to say in such situations? 

I want to assure him that he can pass some of his burdens to me.

Nonetheless, I want him to know he can lean on my shoulders and want to assure him I am there for him, unlike him. 

Evan knows the reason why things turned this way back then. But, that never suffices the pain he experienced then. Even though, he knows how much his father loves him, no confirmations or reasons, believable and acceptable reasons would never help him to forget that phase. He can't possibly be that carefree child anymore. 

At the thought of past incidents, Evan's mood dropped by several degrees as gloominess surrounded him. Shaking his head heavily to free himself from his useless thoughts, he tried to forget what happened back then.

Shifting his attention to his father he looked forward, not sure what to talk or how to react. They slowly started walking towards the entrance of the dining hall. 

"That was a great reasoning you gave there, my son." As these words travelled inside his ears, Evan halted his actions, fretting whether his ears playing tricks on him.

Even though Alexander is always easy going, he is never the type to compliment one easily unless it is notable. He has always been a strict father, but nowadays he can't help but keep praising his excellent son whenever there is a situation. Even a small notable work accomplished by Evan would end up with compliments by Alexander. 

Alexander didn't speak further, but patted his son's shoulder in an encouraging manner, "If you are sincere, everything is possible." He spoke in soft voice. 

Alexander was happy knowing that Evan was opening up and trying his best to express his feelings for Aeinshia. The change was small. But, considering Evan's personality, it is big enough and all of his thoughts about helping them to tie together were worth it.

However, one couldn't deny the fact that he is changing for his own good. It may not to be him, but to someone who would stay by his side for a long time. A human needs support than anything in their life, rather than love. So he knew, he made a right decision choosing Aeinshia beside Evan. 

Both belong to two different worlds.

One is strong and can tackle any situation that comes his way, while the other party was docile and can't survive if left in this world alone. 

One doesn't know how to befriend others and struggles to let out his emotions because of his insecurities, while the other party can't even hide what she feels. 

One is hard to approach and the other is very easy to get along. 

One is constantly trying to protect what is he's, while the other party is trying to protect herself in this already destined life game. 

He is so clever to never fall in others traps while she trusts others easily not knowing it's just a facade which fades away with changing circumstances, not knowing her negligence might risk him too. 

One wants a place to rest leaving his worries, doubts behind and show his true personality while the other is trying to constantly change to her better and be worthy to stand beside him. 

But both are similar in a way. Both had their own flaws. However, they both are after one thing. Trying to love each other to their best. Maybe alone they are weak, but if they fight together supporting each other, then they can change their ill-fate and change the destiny.

Alexander was happy that his son was going to experience such support, just like he had. What does a parent want more than their child's happiness and good life. He was happy, he made a right decision. He is sure that Evan's mother would definitely be happy knowing they will be together and help each other for their betterment. 

She was always worried about Evan being like Alexander when he turns into a man. Cold and inexpressive. Alexander always said, until she was there, love would always prevail and their family will forever be happy. 

Then, fate had to involve and play the dirty game and took away the only source of happiness and love from the Palace and Alexander's and Evan's life. 

That game led the fears of late Empress' come to reality. What she didn't want the most and wanted to avoid the most, happened. Evan totally closed off. To everyone and everything. 

And Alexander, drowned in his own sorrows and heart break, became distant to everyone. By the time, he realized his mistake, the damage was done and his son, who had the brightest smile in this universe, decided not to smile ever again. The love and emotions in his heart drained. 

Alexander blamed himself and tried. He tried his best, but to no avail. Evan was never like before. He thought there was no hope to fill the emptiness inside his young son's heart.

But, miracles happen and he found a way.

He noticed Evan's true and sincere feelings towards Aeinshia and knew that day, that she was key to open up Evan's heart and melt down his barriers. To bring out his lively child, who was trapped behind the cold demeanor of Evan. 

And he is happy, that the reason for his step to betrothe his son to his niece was justifying itself. He was happy to see the changes, though they are small. Small can eventually become big. 

He knew the aristocratic faction and the imperial faction would give him a hard time. Because of this reason, he grandly announced his son's marriage with Rutz only daughter to the whole world without giving any prior notice to anyone.

If this was discussed with others then they might oppose his decision. Even though, in name imperial faction sides with him, they always tried to gain power and always aimed higher. If it weren't for his tactics back then, then he would have been a puppet playing under their fingers. 

Sigh~ Thanks to his brain, he has the knowledge to overthrow them all and claim his right ro the throne without giving them much influence over him. 

So everyone might think Aeinshia as a potential danger to their way of establishing their power and would never agree to him.

Now, if he already have a word with the whole world, then he should just simply clean up the mess he made and simply state an emperor can't take back his words with the people and slide the issue easily. 

But thanks to Aeinshia and Evan, in order to clean up my mess, I had to work endless nights and days again. I demand a reward for my hardwork author. If not I'm not going to listen to you anymore. I really don't understand why I have to reason with those bastards who were always on my neck trying to kill me~pout~

Now, all he had to do was to give Evan a good insight on all the royal affairs and crown him as the Emperor. Then, he could wait peacefully for the moment, when he can finally reunite with his beloved in the heavens. As he was thinking of his beloved wife, unknown to himself Alexander had a smile on his face.

He felt relieved. Finally, his son was coming back to right tracks and understood personal life is more important than any other. Just a little more push and his life would be settled. He was sure, the empress would be smiling if she saw the progress regarding their son.
