Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate

68 Chapter 68. Exclusive scoop

When, Shirley didn't get any response from Aeinshia, she decided it was best for her to leave her chambers now. An angered wolf shouldn't be moved much. Shirley has a lot of experience with this statement.

But, obviously, she didn't want to leave without letting the princess guilt trip because of her behavior towards her. Of course, this is a chance to show her charms in acting and how can she let the opportunity which came knocking on to her door go to naught. She could only use it to the fullest.

Shirley knows how to use the situations to her advantage and probably, flip it to her own advantage. But, when she couldn't do anything about it, she still somehow finds a way to instill a thought in others mind.

It's time to play hard to get I guess my dear princess. Let's see how many more days you can survive in this hunter game, you inexperienced lamb. However, I truly wish you good luck despite being your enemy. Afterall, you were my second master who treated me well. So of course, I have to help at least this much right? Oh my!! I am really being a nice person to wish you good luck. Thats so sincere of me, my dear princess. You should realize you did wrong by threatening me like that.

Keeping her train of thoughts aside, she continued her amazing duty of the princess's maid without missing to show how much she cared for Aeinshia, "I'll be serving your meal, shortly. I also, prepared your grand robes for the festival. I hope you would like them. I'll make sure to inform one of the ladies-in-waiting to review them, according to your liking. I'll be taking my leave now, Your Highness, Princess Aeinshia."

However, her words and actions betrayed her true nature. Despite showing the care, this whole time she didn't forget to maintain the dejected look over her face despite her second thoughts inside her brain.

( wow~ you truly is an amazing actor. Congratulations, you surpassed Alexander in terms of acting, clap~clap~) ~ author.

Shirley kept her head bowed and walked backwards till she reached the door after completing what she came to inform and do. Though, she wasn't exactly successful on what she thought to do. She still managed to make Aeinshia feel totally awful and blame herself. Shirley just knew it.

While opening the door, she eyed Aeinshia from her peripheral vision and saw her looking at her with concerned eyes. See, Shirley knew how to play with the situations.

"Burn, you b**ch"  Shirley cursed at her back before leaving the room.

But, today, Aeinshia looked ready to put her in prison. Aeinshia is forcing her authority on her. She was taken aback. She hated to admit it, but she was scared for the first time by the princess. She couldn't even, imagine why but, the coldness and authority in her aura and her voice, sent chills down her spine.

"Hey, Shirley, is the princess bac------" One of ladies in waiting, who serves Aeinshia was ignored , when Shirley almost dashed into the opposite direction of her.

The lady was coming on to check on the princess and greet her when she Shirley saw exiting the princess' chambers. She knew Shirley was very close to the princess and decided to ask her the status of the princess, but she was ignored.

"Is she alright?" The lady, tilted her head and eyed the disappearing figure of Shirley and craned her neck to see her more clearly. "She seemed upset." The lady shrugged her shoulders and proceeded to meet and greet the princess.

wow~ look at what I witnessed. I can swear on myself that Shirley was in all smiles before going to meet the princess. Then, how come she is in the fit of rage, now? Wow, it's an exclusive scoop and a possible tea to discuss. Princess Aeinshia must have scolded her. I think I should immediately report about it after greeting the princess. I am coming my dear princess~ la~la~

But whatever, it's a good thing for her. If it wasn't for Shirley, she would have got close to Aeinshia. So Shirley's whole presence is a threat to her, making her sit behind and only watch. Now that they had few arguements among those two,it was a prefect opportunity for Sophia to get on more good terms of Aeinshia. And most improtantly, She got something useful to report back.

Whew~ Such an exciting day, huh?

I didn't expect, after this whole time I served princess, there would be a day, when I could witness such a drama. Well, I am not a psycho to feel happy at others sadness. It's just I don't like Shirley from the start. I know there is no concrete reason but, that women gives some odd vibes for sure.

I don't know, it might be because of out of jealousy or, not. It's just sometimes we don't like someone without any specific reason and for me Shirley comes to that category. That woman is for sure, shady.

Even though, she is friendly, which is for sure an act,  with all other palace maids and with us, ladies-in-waiting, it doesn't cover the fact that she acts all big headed behind the princess back always ordering us and flaunting her authority over us. And, that superior feeling is just because she is favoured by the princess.

Be careful Shirley, you are falling out of princess Aeinshia's favor. I think you only had limited days now and should be ready to say bye to your overbearing and willful nature.

But the other issue that I don't like in her is her temper. It's like she is ready to slit someone's throat sending chills through everyone's spines. I am afraid it's no good to be on her bad side and that look.... I could feel my body still shivering out of fear. How come a mere maid have this dreadful and killing aura. Don't tell me this how you truly are and all the remaining was acting. I'm sure, she is sick in head.

Of course, I do feel something was wrong with you from the moment I laid my eyes on you, maid Shirley. However, whenever my suspicions were raised and I tried to  investigate about you, I never got any meaningful information and I am sure in princess Aeinshia's judgemental skills. If there is something wrong with you she would definitely notice. So I think I shouldn't think much about a mere maid and trust princess Aeinshia.

Sophia continued her little monologue with herself about Shirley. She was surprised, seeing Shirley exiting Aeinshia's chambers like that. She was always smiles and proud that she was having a favor of Aeinshia.

She never liked Shirley and clearly, of course, Shirley too, doesn't like her. Truth be told, Shirley doesn't like anyone in the Palace. Finally, the lady was happy, that somehow, the princess showed Shirley her place.

She would bet her arm and a leg, to say that princess Aeinshia has finally, snapped on her dear favorite main maid, Shirley, who is shady as a shadow and fake as a mirage.

The lady brushed all the unwanted thoughts abiut her keast favorite person in the whole kigndom and stopped in front of the door and fixed her posture and plastered a sweet smile on her face and gently knocked on the grand door of the princess.

She pushed the door gently and went in when she heard a soft voice from the inside of the chambers. When she went, she was immediately greeted by the princess standing in front of the huge window, facing her with gleaming eyes.

She was smiling, but the lady felt the smile had faltered a little than the first time Aeinshia saw her entering. She brushed off the thoughts and decided to greet Princess Aeinshia, who was in the chambers after a long time.

The lady bowed at her waist, her head totally bowed down and hands firmly clasped in front of her mid section and pressed firmly onto her cream colored simple uniform robes.

"Greetings, Your Highness, Princess Aeinshia. Its been long since, these chambers had your presence. I am here to serve you. Is there anything, I can be a help to, your Highness?" The lady spoke with a soft, gentle tone. Her posture and voice showing at most respect to the most important royal. Of course, she has to  be extra careful and should be attentive while attending Princess Aeinshia's needs. Afterall, she is the Apple of every Royal's eye in Seazle empire. So she has to be calculative of her every move and gain Aeinshia's favour.
