Reborn: The Unexpected Twist

Lee Jinhee stared down at her phone after it had started ringing, and picking it up from her bed, she received the call. It seemed that the call was from Han Taeho.

Glancing at the clock, she realised that the time was around ten, and placing the phone beside her ear, she waited for him to start talking.

"Lee Jinhee," He enunciated, "I have arranged a car for you downstairs, and get into it. I hope you don't mind that you and Jinkyung are in the same car."

"No, it is alright. I don't mind. However, will the press conference be held now?" Jinhee voiced out.

"Yes, I will be clearing everything with Jinkyung, and her secrets of what she had done in the past will be done. We can end the entire conference by announcing the breaking of our engagement," Taeho stated.

"Alright, that sounds fine," Jinhee vocalized, "I will be going down. What about you? All of the rumours will be badly influencing you as well."

Lee Jinhee was not concerned about what will be happening to Han Taeho for in the opinion, he had deserved it after all the trouble he had created.

Nonetheless, she thought that it would be only polite to ask him regarding it. After all, he was risking his reputation with this.

"There is no way such a trivial matter will be affecting me in any way, and later, I will be informing you on one secret. It is only proper for you to know about it now that you are dating Taehyun," Taeho vocalized.

Her eyebrows furrowed at his words, and she stated, "What is it about?"

"I can't believe Taehyun had not told you about it yet. Nonetheless, I don't think he will be having a problem if I told you about it," Taeho said, "Anyway, just wait until the press conference is over, and I will be telling you regarding it."

"Alright then, I will be hanging up then," Jinhee said before waiting for couple of seconds to hang up the call.

Han Taeho's words caused for more curiosity to brew up within Jinhee. Nevertheless, she knew that she had to wait until tonight to learn what Taeho wanted inform her on.

"Now, get dressed into something proper. You will be taken pictures of by people working in the media, and you can not look like a hobo, Jinhee-ah," Jinhee mumbled to herself.

The thought of getting taken pictures of was enough to make Jinhee nervous. But she managed to get herself decently dressed by wearing a simple blue summer dress coupled with a jacket as it can get chilly at times.

The door beside her was pulled open by Lee Jinkyung, and Jinkyung sat into the seat beside Jinhee. As much as Jinhee was hesitant in admitting it, Jinkyung looked better than her.

Although Jinhee had inferiority complex before about it, she did not find herself being much affected by it at that moment, and visuals were something more or less dependent on the genes. Therefore, there was nothing she could do about it.

As the driver started driving the car, Jinhee wore a smile on her face, and looking towards Jinkyung, she commented, "You look absolutely remarkable, just like how a mistress does."

Judging from Jinkyung's expression, it appeared that Jinhee's words had affected her just as Jinhee wished for it to be, and a smile on Jinhee's face became wider.

"Shut your mouth up or else I will be getting rid of you. Now, that Han Taeho Oppa clearly likes me better, taking care of someone like you will be a piece of cake for me," Jinkyung vocalised as an arrogant expression showed on his face.

Nodding her head, Jinhee said, "Keep on saying that to yourself to make yourself feel better, but both of us well aware of what opinion the public has on you. Moreover, maybe Taeho really likes you for now, but you are well aware of how frivolous men can be. Today, it is you, and tomorrow, it might be someone else."

Whilst repeating in her head that Jinhee was merely saying those words because she was jealous, Jinkyung clenched her hand into a tight fist. Han Taeho would not be leaving her. There was no way Han Taeho had the courage to do something like that.

As mock showed on Jinhee's face, she questioned, "What? Are you scared now?"

Turning her head towards Jinhee, Jinkyung halted at the direction of the girl while she exclaimed, "Stop! Shut up! Shut up! There is no way Taeho Oppa will be abandoning me. You are just saying this because you are jealous."

Jinhee let out a chuckle and stated, "Maybe it is not Taeho who is not the frivolous one; It is it you, Lee Jinkyung."

Pulling on a confused expression, Jinkyung asked, "What do you mean?"

"You very well know what I mean, Jinkyung. You claim to love Kim Jaehyun yet you go after Taeho. I guess, I should accept Jaehyun's confession and get ready to be his girlfriend. Maybe we can get engaged as well, Jinkyung. I wonder how much you will be suffering after that," Jinhee stated.

"Shut up, Bitch! There is no way I am allowing you to date, Jaehyun Oppa! That is something that will never happen! I won't be allowing!" Jinkyung exclaimed, and Jinhee noticed how she was able to successfully aggravate Jinkyung.

"What if I told you that I was recording everything you just said and I will be showing that to Taeho?" Jinhee questioned as a smirk formed on her face.

Hearing those words from Jinhee made Jinkyung's eyes wider, and she vocalised, "No! That can't be it! I will destroy you if you do so."

Seeing how Jinkyung was close to panicking, Jinhee let out a chuckle and voiced out, "Oh! Really? I am so scared. But truthfully, I would like to see that. Getting destroyed by you sounds fun! Good luck with it! Fighting, Jinkyung-ah!"
