Reborn: The Unexpected Twist

Chapter 46 - Resolution

Jinhee, Jaehyun, and Taehee stood outside of the operation theater. Anxiousness built up within Jinhee as she waited outside, and her lips quivered.

Before the ambulance had arrived, one of the teacher touched the staircase and strangely found it slippery. With the maintenance of the place being high, especially since they were visiting, it was very much unlikely for this to be an accident. It must be a deliberate attempt!

Eyes staring towards the ground, Jinhee prayed for all to go well. Guilt would be the first thing Jinhee would feel if something were to happen to Hyunbin for it was her change of plans that resulted in it.

"Sit down, Jinhee-ah. Everything will go fine," Taehee softly spoke out, placing 'her' hand on Jinhee's shoulder.

At this moment, Jinhee's mind was too much occupied with Hyunbin to care about what happened earlier, and therefore, she showed no reaction to Taehee's words.

Right then, the door to the operation theatre opened, revealing a doctor dressed in his uniform. Removing the mask from his face, he stepped towards the three of them.

"The patient requires AB negative blood. Will it be possible for you to arrange that as soon as possible?" The doctor spoke out with a solemn outlook.

Instantly, Jinhee came forward and voiced out, "I have AB negative blood. Can I donate?"

AB negative was a rare blood group in South Korea, and it is difficult to find someone with such a blood group. However, fortunately enough, Jinhee shared the same blood group as him.

"Sure. We'll do some tests, and if it is safe, we'll do the transfusion," The doctor said, and Jinhee nodded.

"Are you sure about, Jinhee?" Taehee questioned.

"I can arrange for someone," Jaehyun vocalised.

"That will be too late," Jinhee answered before leaving behind the doctor.

Dizziness spread through Jinhee's head whilst she walked out of the theatre. Her arm ached around the part blood was drawn out of, and after resting for around an hour, she still felt light-headed.

Holding her by her shoulder, Taehee immediately made Jinhee sit on the chairs and rested her head upon Taehee's shoulder. Jinhee was too tired to care about Taehee at the moment.

"Have some water," Jaehyun spoke out, handing her a bottle of water.

Accepting the bottle from him, Jinhee drowned down the contents until the thirstiness was gone and placed the bottle beside her.

"Are you the one that donated blood to my son? We're really grateful towards you. The blood type is rare to find around here, and even with our connections, it would be difficult."

A male's voice entered into Jinhee's ears, and she raised up her head to them. One male and a female was beside each other, and Jinhee assumed them to be Hyunbin's parents.

The worry was written on their face, and it seemed that they genuinely cared about their son. In her last life, Hyunbin's parents must have been devastated after his death. Somehow, this fueled up her resolution to protect him this time.

Among their current expression, surprise began to form after they saw Jinhee's face, and the male's eyes turned wide.

"S-Sihyeon," The male voiced out.
