Reborn: The Villainess Shines

When I opened my eyes I found myself sitting in a beautiful rose garden. Judging on the uniform I was wearing, I assumed I was in the body of a school girl,

[Dear host, you are at the moment just before your target's downfall. I will not explain the mission world. Are you ready?]

'Go at it, Momo.'

[You are currently in the body of Mayumi Sunohara, a sixteen-year-old girl who attends the Hazuki Academy. Her younger sister is the female lead of this world, and also the reason why Mayumi's fate was ruin. She was destined to plot against her sister and in the end, the male lead and female lead would get together because the younger sister was supposed to be kind, Mayumi was meant to be forgiven for her wrongdoings. She would then reflect on her actions and have a new start with her sister and gain a new understanding and find a path to happiness. Somehow, the story changed, the younger sister publicly shamed her sister, making her an outcast in her family and ridicule at school. Mayumi became depressed and wished to change her fate, to break her sad fate with her sister and find love and joy in this world. This was her final wish before she took her life.]

'So my main mission is to find love and joy in this world, correct?'

[That is correct. I'll be here to help you, dear host, all you need to do is think about me and I'll respond.]

'Got it, don't worry Momo. I know how to make Mayumi happy.' I thought as I started to stand to walk out of the garden.

As I was walking I was getting slightly upset because it seems this is a maze garden. 'How much money could this school possibly have to have a maze.'

Just when I found the exit I saw to people coming to the garden, my gut told me to hide, so that is exactly what I did. I sat in a bush with the full intent to eavesdrop on the two girls.

"Yui-chan, are you sure you saw her go in here?" The tall girl with the golden blonde hair asked.

"I'm very sure Watabi-senpai. I wish I could be wrong because she is my sister, but I feel that what my sister is doing is wrong and dishonorable towards our school's name." The younger girl with golden brown hair said with a sad face.

"I understand this must be have been a very hard thing to speak up about, but no worries if your sister really did steal from the student council's room we will catch her," Watabi-senpai said with a serious tone.

'Steal? What are they talking about Momo?'

[Your target was brought to the garden right before she passed out from drinking drugged tea. The female lead made up a story to frame your target because she didn't have evidence to prove she has been drugged, it was her word against the target's sister.]

After listening to what Momo explanation, many things became more clear. It seems my little sister is more cunning than what she appears to look like. If she thinks I will act in her little performance than she better be ready for a rewrite.

While thinking about how to surprise my sister and ruin her plans a third person comes running over. It was a guy this time, a very handsome guy with raven black hair, and the glasses just made him look more alluring.

"Watabi-san, Sunohara-san, let's get this done already," He said in a very lazy tone.

"President you should be more serious about this if it turns out to be true than it means that one of our best students has been a cheater," Watabi-san said.

"I'm very serious. If it turns out to be true then the older Sunohara will be facing grave punishment. Now younger Sunohara, show us where you saw your sister with the files.

I waited until they walked further away into the maze and then left from the bush. I exited the garden and looked back, 'Hmm, now that I know the setting it's time for me to make the show come alive,' I thought as I happily walked away.

Yui's PoV

As we all walk toward the place I left my sister, my heart couldn't stop beating fast because of the closeness of President Kei.

I do feel bad that my sister has to go through this ordeal, but I gave her a chance to back out of the competition. I mean I don't understand why she is being so stubborn in the first place, she should give me what I want, I usually get it anyway.

"I'm still having a hard time believing Sunohara-san would do something like this, she was always a model student," Watabi-senpai says.

I don't understand how my older sister got everyone to fall in love with her at this school. Out of the two of us, I'm the best, now if only President Kei could realize that fact.

"We still don't have all the information Watabi-san, this could be a fake claim. You should know that at a school like ours, people would do and say anything to make themselves look better." He said while coldly looking at me.

My heart can't take that cold look and I'm scared that he will find out the truth, but I prepared this moment for weeks, there is no downfall. Once he sees my sister in the garden surround by all of the competition's forms, then he will distance himself from her.

When we finally arrive at the place I left my sister I was shocked to not see her there. 'Where is she?' I thought with fear rushing to my heart.

"Younger Sunohara-san is this where you saw your sister looking over the material for the competition? If so, please tell me where is she?" President Kei said while walking in the rose garden grove.

"I-I don't know. She was right here, I swear!" I say with tears starting to form in my eyes.

"You don't know? Do you expect me to believe you after dragging us here for a false claim," He says coldly while walking away.

I stood there with tears already falling, I just can't hold them in after witnessing the cold look that President Kei gave me.

"I'm very disappointed in you Yui-chan. I thought you were a good person but after this it makes me sees you in a different light." Watabi-senpai says as she walks away.

After watching both of them leave, I couldn't hold myself up any longer. 'I don't know what went wrong, I'm sure I left Mayumi sleeping right here, and I was told she wouldn't wake up for hours after drinking that tea.' I thought while trying to find out who ruined my plans.

Meanwhile back in the student dorms...

Mayumi was sitting on her bed reading the forms that she grabbed before leaving the garden.

'Since my sister gave me this gift, it should only be right I give it back to her, to reward her generous offer.' I thought while planning a great event for tomorrow.

As I got ready to go to bed I couldn't keep the smile off my face, 'I'll show little Yui-chan what the power of a model student holds,' I thought while closing my eyes.
