Reborn: The Villainess Shines

After the event that happened in the cafeteria that most of the school is now calling the Sunohara scandal, my reputation has risen to new heights. Before many of the students knew me as a person who would give a helping hand or some helpful advise, but because of my sister, I'm seen as the suffering elder sister who is wronged by her younger sibling.

I wish I could relax and just focus on granting Mayumi's dream, but knowing Yui she won't take people seeing her in a bad light laying down. 'I bet she is already planning something right now, but I can't focus all my time on her,' I thought as I entered the music room.

With the singing competition coming up in a month I have practice my pieces when I first got the memories of this body I was so nervous that I wouldn't be able to complete this task. Luck for me Mayumi was really talented at singing and dancing. 'Honestly, if I had children who were very talented in a skill I would bring them both to the top and not snub one for the other,' I thought with a sigh as I thought about Mayumi's home life.

While I was stuck in a world of music I didn't notice somebody enter until I heard clapping behind me. When I turned around in shock, I was very surprised to see a very handsome guy, 'Geez is all the guys here taking something to get their looks,' as I admire him.

He was only a couple feet taller than me with his golden hair and exotic blue eyes. At first glance, he would seem like a foreigner but you could notice some of the country's traits in his face. 'He must be mixed, his parents gave him the best of two worlds,' I thought.

"You really deserve the position of the school representative with a voice like that," he said while snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Ryohei-san, your words flatter me too much. You are also a representative for the school, so that says something about your skills."

He laughs and walks over to the piano, "It's too bad that there isn't a duet portion in the competition, I believe we would have created a great duo," He says while plucking at the piano keys.

"Yes, it's a shame. Well, if you are here to practice I won't get in your way." As I make my way to the door he stands up in shock.

"Wait! I didn't come here to practice but to ask you something."

Intrigued I turned and looked at him, "You wish to ask me something? What is it?" I asked tilting my head in confusion.

"The rumors about your younger sister, are they true?" He asks me with a serious look.

I stood there in wonder, 'Now this very interesting.' I thought with an internal smile.

"The rumors that are going around, the facts are true while many have been greatly exaggerated the event. May I ask why you are asking about this?"

He looked down and appeared to be in deep thought after hearing what I said, for a while, I believed he wouldn't answer me. Just before I could say he could forget my question he looked up at me with a hard stare.

"I just have a hard time believing that Yui-chan would do something like framing you. She always talks about how highly she respects you." He tells me with that same hard stare.

I looked at him and took in his comment, 'Could it be? Does this boy really like my sneaky sister?' A bubble popped in my head and a memory came forth, just before Mayumi was taken out of the competition and Yui was chosen, it was mainly because someone spoke up for her. I looked at Ryohei-san and gave a gentle smile but inside I was glaring.

'So you are working with Yui. I'll teach you a lesson about messing with me.' I thought.

I sighed and walked toward the window, "I can't believe she would do something like that as well, but I can't fight the evidence. As you know, President Kei and Vice-President Watabi-san, both vouched that she tried to frame me the day before. Then the next day she tried to get me with a group of her friends."

I turned around and gave him a sad smile, "I truly don't know what I did to make her want to hurt me so much."

Ryohei-san looked lost for words and I could tell he wanted to speak up for Yui but didn't know what to say. Tired, I walked to the door to leave, but just before I left I turned and looked at him with another tired expression.

"You know even if my sister did all those horrible things to me, I'll forgive her because as you say she really is a sweet younger sister." I then turned and left but not before seeing that moment of guilt enter Ryohei's face.

'I could have made you pay dearly, but feeling a little heart pain in what you need in your life, Ryohei-san,' I thought while I smiled and walked away from the music room.

Ryohei's PoV

Hearing all the rumors going around about Yui-chan, I figured the only way to stop them is to expose her sister's true face. As I was walking toward the music room I was shocked by the angel like voice, when I looked through the door I noticed Mayumi-san.

This was the first time I really heard her sing, she always decided to practice alone. I was prepared to barge in and yell for Yui's sake but her voice held me in a trance. When she was done with her song I couldn't help but clap for her. When she turned to me and told me she was leaving I remember why I came.

After a few pleasant words, I got to my point, but I was not expecting her to respond in such a manner. 'She acts differently than how Yui described her.'

Not wanting to believe that Yui could really be such a cruel person to hurt her own sister, I want to speak up for her. Then Mayumi-san showed me such a sad smile and felt like my heart was breaking.

'Could it be that everything I heard about her was a lie? Was Yui really in the wrong and the rumors are true?

When I noticed that Mayumi was leaving she turned back and said something that almost made me fall, at that moment I knew that I was blinded by my feelings for Yui and I almost ruined a very kind person's future.

As I left the music room, I hardened my heart and decided from this day forward I won't be swayed by my heart and judge a person chracter as I did Mayumi-san.
