Red Dragon Who Was Too Lazy For Domination

My worldview changed. It turned upside down, everything gets mixed up, mashed up, and.... well here is what happened.

It was when the rainy season arrives. A normal evening was when that incident took place, an incident that changed the view with which I viewed world till then.

Let's recap,

I and Iriya were playing or more like catching and running away from each other with Ddraig, inhumanly insisting on me wearing weights so that we were playing normally, when in fact one was playing and other was abused by a used to be a colossal sized dragon when it suddenly started raining. It was by no means a light shower, and it was quite a heavy rain even by standards of the proper rain season, not expecting such heavy rain this soon in the season, we didn't bring an umbrella and had to run home to avoid getting drenched and cold. Drenched we did get but fortunately, mom had prepared a bath for us and was waiting for both of us near the door, since uncle and aunty had gone for a late-night banquet. As such mom directed us to the bathroom while handing towels and then made way towards kitchen preparing hot milk for us to drink after the bath.

Silently cheering for after bath warm milk I held Iriya's hand and headed towards shower mentioning along the way that today is the day for the traditional deepening of bonds by washing each other back. Iriya strangely quiet followed behind but strangely he was trying to pull back when asked he didn't answer. Thinking he was embarrassed, he answered with a, "don't worry we both are boys. "

Ultimately, it leads to an incident that changed my view, turns out girly looking, Iriya, my best friend is actually a girl, and as for how I found it was after getting rid of my clothes trying to rid of his or should I say now her clothes, even though I didn't ask for it, my discovery was still awarded by, "kyaaaaahhhhhhh, Ise is meanieeeee" and then stuff happened which led to us changing our location after taking shower in silence, without much enjoyment that was anticipated we head to living room, where cute Sugu-chan awaited us bouncing and hopping to us asking, "Onii-chan, what happened, what happened?"

Issei - *ahem* why don't you ask her*awakardly pointing to the former best friend who wouldn't meet his gaze*

Sugu - Iriya-nii-san, what happened? Will you play with me?

Irina - ...

Issei - (' fuuuh, I'm not the only one who had mistaken her gender ')

Mom - Sugu-chan, why don't you play yourself (that's what she said), we need to talk with your onii-chan for some time*smiling with an ominous aura*

Issei - *shiver*

Meanwhile, Irina for the first time directed her gaze toward Issei and surprisingly it was a sympathetic one.

When we reached the living room seizing the first strike for possible victory, I spoke defensively,

Issei - Mom, it's not my fault, whenever I called her Iriya, you guys never bothered to correct me, which lead to this*pouts* it's your fault too as much as it's mine.

Mom - *awkwardly* well we thought it's one of the words you can't speak properly and it looked kinda cute so we didn't bother thinking that you would learn

Irina - Uhm, Aunty, actually it's my fault. when my mom noticed about Ise misunderstanding she told me about it and asked if she should clear that but I stopped it since I didn't know if Ise would still be my friend after learning that I'm a girl, and *sniff* maybe I would *sniff* lose my only friend. *shyly* Ise, can we still be friends? *shyly but hopefully*

Issei - *awkward*

Mom - *apparently sensing something* Ara, ara, I think milk must have become warm enough, let me go and bring for you guys.

Issei -*looking toward Irina* .....ok, we can still be friends if you don't hide something as significant as that.....

As mom was slowly making way towards the kitchen with an unreadable expression a smile surfaced her unique features that have their own motherly charm as she heard her son's answer that perfectly matched it with what she wanted it to be before stumbling as she heard him continue.

Issei - .....but can you tell me your name again, I don't think your name is Iriya, right?

Issei - (' shut up, I still don't remember enough canon to recall minor arcs like this')

Irina - *dumbfounded*...Irina.

Issei - then, Irina let's have you lots of friends.....*after some thought* that recognizes your gender.

Irina - *pouts angrily* meanie.
