Reflection in the Mirror

Those past two weeks since I had met the hero and his lover had been boring. Security was still high so I had to lay low for a while. A week ago, Eliza and I agreed that we should open the shop.

The shop was the antique store one that my brother ran. While both of them did not need any additional money, it was something they wanted to do. Everyone in the neighborhood knew Louis so they would be suspicious if the shop stayed closed for longer than a week after all.

So here I am, running the shop for the 7th day and I was already really bored. How did Louis do this? It's not any better than all that paperwork. Rubbing my temple, I glanced outside towards the man watching me. It wasn't obvious, I'm not a newbie enough for those thugs to notice me. They have been following me since I opened the shop. Thankfully they never followed me back to the apartment only enough to memorize the usual route I took.

'Tch, not like they can reach the apartment..'

Those fools would be eaten even before they reach the apartment. I placed a guard for a reason and they are by no means incompetent.

Sighing, I stood up and walked past the counter. Might as well as find out what those morons want.

Picking up the lock and the key, I closed the shop slowly, watching the man from the corner of my eyes. There are various escape routes to lose them in the 7 minutes it takes to get to the apartment or I can deal with them now. But I'm rather curious what the boss of those low level untrained croons wanted with me. To not even train his people properly must be a low level famiglia from the Underworld hierarchy.

Training and trusting your people will only do you good in the long run.

'This is either gonna be an enlightening trip or an headache in making'

I thought as the footsteps of two armed men approached me from behind. One of them restrained me while the other hit my nape (rather clumsily in fact).

"What are you-!!!!..."

I pretended to be knocked out from the clumsy hit. I know I'm complaining but anyone else would have died from that kind of hit which had too much power and wrong placing. There was a sound of a car stopping close  by as the one who held me threw me over his shoulder then carried me into the car, throwing me into the backseat. Bit of shuffling then the car doors were closed with 'Bang!' and we were driving off.

I wanted to open my eyes and see where we are going. Since the city is absolutely packed, we're probably heading outside the city. Most likely to the abandoned factory buildings just outside of the city parameters. Apartments as well as the shop are literally on the other side of our esteemed destination. I really need to know the road we're taking or I will probably die of boredom.

'Aeron, fly and follow'

I felt the cry of a beast answering to my silent command. Soon my vision filled with light, a sight of a black car speeding through the old unrepairable road. We were going rather fast since there weren't any cops to chase us. Aeron flew after the car, his pitch black wings beating strongly. He had no trouble catching up to the car which made me quite proud. It was a right decision to take his cube. Beast blood had been rather strong in him.

As we approached a forest road, my prediction was right once again. For we were reaching an old factory building. How predictable and easy. Truly a trash of the Underworld it seemed. Soon we halted. One of the goons carried me out of the car. Placing on a chair, they tied me down rather tightly. Well I guess they are good at something.

*SPLASH!*

Coughing, I shook the water off and opened my eyes to stare around my surroundings. There were around 20 men in the building excluding the old fool sitting in front of me. Assuming he is the boss, I wonder what they want from me to be honest? Power? Information? Money?. It's impossible for them to know that I'm Hide and not Louis. They shouldn't know about our connection either. So why?

As if to prove me wrong the fool started talking, preening like a cat that got the canary at attention and started talking.

" Welcome Mr. Blance~ it is very nice of you to visit us like this. I apologise for the lack of hospitality."

He spoke rather smugly with a fake look of guilt. It was rather disgusting, who did he even think he was? Well, they should be thinking that I'm an innocent civilian so I should act according to right?~

The boss laughed and walked over to me, reaching out to push back the stray red lock behind my ear. Resisting the urge to gag, I flinched away from the hand.

"I'm not someone you need to know darling. But you have something I need"

Now, what could that be~

"And T-that is?..."

I asked, ignoring the use of the pet name for the moment. I would get back to him later, preferably when I'm plunging out this moron's ribs. The fool laughed amusedly.

"Now I'm sure your brother told you everything. Seeing as you are his only family and him protecting you constantly, you were able to live this peacefully."

"W-why!? -"

How the fuck did he!? Who the fuck leaked the information!? It was supposed to be one of the best kept secrets of my famiglia!

"Shh, let me finish. But since Hide Familigia is gone, wiped out by the hero and the government. It's the perfect time to find that."

"T-That?.. What do you mean?"

"Oh don't act naive! You know what 'that' is!"

"Look! I don't know what that is! Or where it even is! So please just let me go!"

SMACK!!!.....

Sound echoed through the insides of the old factory. Anger swelled inside me, the bitch slapped me… How dare he… my vision darkened as the enraged voices of my soldiers filled the darkest parts of the building.

'Hold him… '

I commanded, snapping out of my bindings.I stood up, shadows stretching out from under me and latching into the bastard that dared to touch me. I will dig his eyeballs out then tear off the dirty hand, As if finally processing what was happening the thugs moved to attack me.

Tch, I have no wish to fool around any longer with these morons. They shot at me, raising my hand I created a dome. They should make a nice food for my children. Small hands as well as tentacles shot up wrapping around and dragging the screaming, panicking thugs down. Swallowing them whole without any trace.

Grinning lazily I turned to the terrified boss of this stupid mess. The coward was trembling now, sweat pouring down his forehead like a waterfall. I took a step towards him one by one.

The fool yelled out to me as if threatening me.

"D-Don't come closer!! or I will tell them to shoot the woman!"

I froze, my mind progressing the thought before it clicked. Oh, oh~ he meant Eliza. Shooting Eliza? Any amusement I felt towards this whole situation died a quick death. Like a cowardly bitch he is, the man continued to rant. And I couldn't hold it in anymore as the absurdity of his statement finally reached me.

"I have my man watching the woman!! The blonde haired bitch is going to die if you don't tell me where 'That' is!"

"Ha… HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!"

Trully!~ how stupid was he? Did he really think I would leave my dear sister in law without any protection!? The men  he sent were all already eaten by the Beasts I set to guard Eliza.

I snorted when the smell of urine filled my nose, apparently my little toy had soiled himself. How pathetic…

Grinning brightly, without any other word. I picked up the dagger on the table then raised the blade, as if finally realizing his position the stupid moron started begging for mercy. Too bad~ I have no intention of giving it to him!

"We're gonna have so much fun~"

I gently crooned into his ear, my free hand slipping into his disgusting mouth then pulling out the sinful tongue without filter. Smiling kindly at him I pressed the boiling hot dagger blade into his tongue.  After all~ the Dead doesn't need to talk. And I was in dire need to release some stress. Small red piece of flesh fell into the ground with a flop. Screams of pain following right after.

No one threatens mine for a reason.

I will have to apologize to Eliza for being late to dinner! I wonder if orange would work as a bribe?... Humming, I gotta work. I still had a time to have some fun~.
