Floating in the endless void makes your mind somehow feel unease. You don't know where you will go and there's no path to return to. He tries to remember things to keep him sane but overwhelmed when he can't remember how he died.

The only good thing he can still remember is, most of his memories. Regarding his childhood up to adolescence, he can even remember his hobbies, which he loves like reading Marvel/DC comics, mangas and watching anime to his favorite video games like Dark Souls and Diablo even DMC and a lot more.

Now a few God knows how many days later he can breathe and can move his limbs slowly. He touch the wall and he can distinguish that the walls are made up of flesh. He thought that he ended up in some sort of horror game like Silent Hill or Resident Evil. This scared the living life out of him just thinking about it.

Moments later, a blinding light flashes in his vision making him close his eyes and his entire being was being pushed by the walls of flesh and letting him out.

When he was outside in his cage of flesh, an arm raised him and looks at him. He immediately saw a beautiful woman with an auburn hair that wears eyeglasses and hairband having lays on both sides. He also notice that this woman who wears like a maid outfit that he can only see in maid cafe or in watching anime.

"Madam, look at your son. He isn't crying but he knows how to smile." The auburn maid encourages her madam to look at him and let him carry.

He notice that his mother has a beautiful brown hair that tied in the back of her head, and he can determine how happy his mother when he look straight at her eyes full of joy even though she was exhausted giving birth to him.

"Oh look honey, our baby boy was giggling to me. Oooh, How cute." His mother couldn't contain her happiness and want to share to her partner in life.

The father nervously tried to touch his hand and to his surprise., he grabs the father's fingers while keeping his adorable smile.

"Dear, to think that you will give me an adorable child. We will raise our child together and we will feed him with our love. From now on, your name will be Rudeus." Carrying him, his father carefully raise him while giving the baby his new name.

"Rudy, welcome to our life." The father lowers him and let his mother carry him. She gave him a light kiss in his forehead to show how happy she was when she gave birth to him.

Even the auburn hair maid couldn't contain her happiness when she looks at the family that she serves. Since she was also the midwife, she became proud of herself that she's the one who assist her madam to gave birth to there son.

Of course the baby is happy, since this is his new start. While he can't remember his former name, he gladly accepts his new name which is Rudeus.

'Come to think of it, this feels somehow familiar. Hmmm.... Rudeus... RUDEUS GREYRAT!!!!'

'but how can I understand their languge?' He couldn't believe what he was experiencing right now, he changed or swapped or most probably a different time loop where the original soul wasn't able to possess this Rudeus Greyrat, the one who will become the 7th rank in the Seven Major World Powers in the future.

He realized that he is in Mushoku Tensei, one of the best light novels. To think his second chance would be in this universe, of course this is a typical sword and magic world, he knows this story like the back of his hand but only the main storyline. He literally read this novel in 3 times because he fell in love reading it again and again.

But the problem is, there will be a tragedy that will befall to his family. Now that he was given a chance to live here, he will live his life the way he wanted to be a professional NEET! But mostly make sure to save his family and close to him from harm. Though he thinks that the Metastasis Event was quite hard to stop since it will summon Nanahoshi better known as Silent Seven Star. He thought that he'll prepare things when that event comes also save Eris's family from that tragedy.

Half a year passed by.

Rudeus realized how difficult being a baby is. Although he can taste his mother's milk, which is his favorite, he still can't help to feel humiliated when he will get his diaper changed.

And also, being a baby is boring. The first few months, he couldn't control his own limbs to make him walk. But now, he can somewhat crawl slowly by concentrating all of his limbs but on Lilia's(The maid) perspective he sees Rudeus crawling like a worm.

Rudy, being overjoyed that he can travel around the house, he carefully observed everything in the house. He thinks that his family was somehow rich. since they owned a two storey house that more than suitable to the small member of family. He compared his own apartment in his memories which looks like someone died in it.

The house was made of wood but even if he isn't an expert in carpentry, he can still distinguish how good the house is. He also expect that there is no electricity here since apparently, in the world of sword and magic the usage of electric based technology would be quite less or non existent but flourished in magic which is used in their daily lives.

Living here isn't bad when he catch some information to his parents and his maid about being in a rural place that has a tranquil landscape of farming plots. This village isn't overcrowded and they build there houses separates to themselves since they somehow holds a land that can supply a lot of grains.

Every now and then he tries hard to think how can he understand their language.

Though the most important thing of course is how he can activate his cheat abilities or system. This is the question that he really wants to answer or he can ask Roxy Migurdia, his future teacher and wife, on how to unleash his hidden abilities.

'Speaking of Roxy, I also have two other wives, which are Sylphy and Eris. Having three wives is such a bliss, the original MC is very lucky to have them huh? But now I'm the MC I'll add Ariel,Rinia and Pursuena also Atofe. Now I'm the one whose lucky, I need to plant the foundation of our relationship first so I can conquer them when the time is right.' He needs to be firm and become responsible to them if he will seriously love them.

While thinking about future plans for his future, Rudeus didn't realize that he was being watch by the auburn hair maid, Lilia.

Whenever they look at each other, the infant gives her a smile that makes her comfortable. But the thing is, when she carefully observes this child, she can detect a slight intellect and mischievousness in his eyes.

Lilia can always catch the kid that lurks everywhere in the house and one time, when she and her madam are having a conversation, the kid will look at them with prying ears. Like he tries to understand there conversation.

Even now, she can see Rudeus biting his thumb while sitting on the floor. If only Lilia couldn't suppress her urges, she will approach this child just to ask him if he can understand her.

Lilia wants to observe him more carefully and maybe she will report her hunches to her madam when the time is right.

When evening came, Rudeus's parents are having a conversation. And of course, the topic is there adorable son.

"How come that our child doesn't cry? When he was hungry or trying to poop, he will call me using his loud voice like he wants to inform me that he wants something." Although he really likes her son behaving like a good boy, his mother, Zenith Greyrat, couldn't believe that her baby possess an intellect that a normal infant couldn't have.

Seeing his own wife full of worry, his father, Paul Greyrat calms her down by assuring her that everything is alright and maybe there child has a lot of potential.

"This is a quality of a great man in the future. A man of culture! and besides, we literally didn't let him get away from our watch. We can observe him closely how great that he could be." Paul keeps rubbing his wife's shoulder and eventually, the husband and wife snuggles to each other. Paul kisses Zenith and she happily accepts it thus began the experience of a sleepless night.

While his parents are doing it they don't know that Rudeus can't sleep because he can hear them loud and clear.
