Chapter 105 - 103: Deadman Wonderland Side Part 13

"What is your wish?"

"Wish? I want infinite candy!"

I sat up, and our faces were now facing each other directly. It isn't time yet.

Not when I still don't understand her.

"Let's take a ride."

BOOOOOOM!

BOOOOOOM!

BOOOOOOM!

BOOOOOOM!

BOOOOOOM!

Multiple explosions happened as twelve tails burst into existence.

My Branch of Sin was unlike any other deadmen's. They had a particular shape and/or function to which they needed to adhere, but I don't. The only downside was everything that I could do was limited in power. A jack of all trades, a master of none - so to speak.

My blood swirled around the entire prison, completely demolishing the gear-like structures of the G ward. Anyone who stood in the way was sliced, not to the death, but enough so their blood would join mine, growing larger.

"Fuutarou?"

"You talk about the larger wheel structure that you want to ride, right? Well, let's ride it."

Shiro and I remained alone in my room among the chaos of alarms, screams, and hurried footsteps. One standing, one sitting, I raised my arm out towards her.

"Really?!"

"I have never broken a promise, Shiro."

"Let's go!"

Shiro didn't really care about the damages that I had incurred onto the place. She was either too into having fun with me, or she simply didn't care.

We took our time walking amongst the midst of chaos everywhere. It took me a while, but I managed to plant some miniature bombs into most rooms in the G ward; I didn't spend most of my time here walking around for no reason. .

One bomb alone isn't strong enough to tear apart the reinforced walls, but the combined force of thousands of bombs made it possible to completely dismantle G ward.

"Why is everyone running around?"

"People are naturally afraid of the unknown, Shiro." I replied to her curious question, "Plus, a sudden mini-earthquake would scare anyone."

"They are weak..." Shiro wasn't arrogant when saying that; she was just like a child - speaking her mind without fear.

Patting her head, I smiled, "You're special, Shiro."

If I wasn't the one who caused the explosions, I probably would have been in the same boat as the other deadmen.

Most weren't hurt much. At the end of the day, they were still deadmen after all and were much stronger than normal humans, both in power and endurance. Still, they ran around, trying to find some exit to safety or to find the cause of the explosions.

We faced little to no resistance as we walked out of G block through a hole I created.

"I'm sorry, but you guys would have to leave if you don't want to get hurt..." Mumbling softly to myself, I levitated myself and willed with all my power to create an earthquake.

As I've said before, I could do anything the other deadmen could do. If Shiro managed to create an earthquake of that magnitude, I would be able to do the same, just with a lower magnitude which was enough for an island like this.

"Let's wait for a while, Shiro."

Before causing mass destruction in this place, I wanted to let the innocent citizens evacuate first. Perhaps the prisoners would also be lucky and evacuate alongside the civilians.

The earthquake continued with no signs of stopping, and I willed it to be even stronger to "encourage" the hastening of the evacuation.

But that was just my secondary goal. My primary goal was to lure out the mastermind behind everything.

The Deadman Wonderland, the experiments behind the Wretched Egg's existence, everything.

I didn't have to wait long. Amidst all the chaos, four people emerged. Or rather, four groups of people emerged.

First was the familiar fake lawyer whose face I've been dying to punch ever since the day I met him - Tamaki. Following behind him were three people, a guy with long, blonde hair that fell to the sides of his face, another guy with long, brown hair that reached down to his lower back, a pair of identical twins with short black hair that covers their eyes, and a woman with long blonde hair that reached her lower back.

The second group consists of the warden that I had met the first day here. You know, the one with huge bȯȯbs - Makina. Behind her were some soldiers that were armed to the teeth, not that it matters against the bunch of monsters gathered here.

The third was a rather thin man with light green hair that curved upwards, giving it an impression of feathers with the tips of his hair being black. In the anime, his hair is light green. He also has golden eyes.

He dresses in a way similar to Shiro, with the same red patterns on his clothes, and like Shiro, he also has multiple scars on his body, which are prone to ripping. He has a long, white coat with the zipper constantly zipped from his neck to above his navel. He also wears knee-length white pants. Behind him were only two people - another pair of twins wearing a formal black suit with a white shirt under it with a red tie.

The fourth group was probably the least disorderly group - the other deadmen led by two people - Chaplin and an unfamiliar young, pale man who held a frail posture.

"Fuutarou?" Shiro stared at the four groups coming from all directions, most of whom held a hostile look at me, "They are all staring at us..."

I resisted my urge to facepalm right there and then and greeted my "audiences".

"Wel-"

"Who are you? You're not the Wretched Egg..." The green-haired boy interrupted me.

"I-"

"Wretched Egg? What is that? And who are you?" Makina interrupted me again as she spoke to the green-haired boy, "I've never seen you in prison before."

"Well, he-"

"Makina dear, you should leave before all your soldiers lose their lives without reason." Tamaki interrupted me now, answering Makina's question without answering her question.

Man, hosting a "party" is tough...I just keep getting interrupted.

"Chaplin, just leave now. This has nothing got to do with you guys." While the three were having their conversation, I spoke to the deadmen group.

"And I'll ȧssume that you guys are deadmen too," Pointing towards the second leader in the fourth group, "Just leave as well."

The man frowned but didn't reply. Chaplin, on the other hand, asked, "Were you the one who did this?"

"Yes."

"You..." Chaplin didn't know how to reply. And so, the five groups, including me, were now stuck in a dilemma.

How should we proceed with this?

"How about we introduce ourselves first? A deadman, Fuutarou." Giving a slight bow, I introduced myself. It was polite to do so, even in the face of enemies.

"And this is Shiro."

"Hello! Shiro is Fuutarou's friend!"

Being my second most familiar person, Chaplin stayed quiet for a while before eventually speaking, "Chaplin. Deadman."

"Tama-"

"Yes, yes. Fake lawyer. I still have no idea why you want to frame me to enter this hell hole, but thanks." Chains of blood suddenly pierced through his underlings as I spoke.

I wanted to kill them all first since they gave off the most threat for some reason, but two managed to escape without dying. The scared-looking blond guy and the gangster-looking guy with brown hair.

And boy, was I right. Without delay, the two immediately retaliated. The brown-haired guy pierced himself with his "tail", injecting something within him while the blond-haired unwrapped his bandages around his fingers as he dashed towards me, revealing 12-inch claws over each of his fingers.

The brown-haired man punched the ground, creating an even bigger earthquake than I did, knocking all the humans in this place off balance as he proceeded to follow his companion towards me.

Shit. Is that doping?!

I hurriedly jumped back, bringing Shiro along with me, and it immediately showed why it was a good idea.

In my previous place was an enormous crater that buried a few soldiers who couldn't react in time, along with ten claw-like scars on the hardened ground.

"Y-You managed to d-dodge that?" The blond-haired whimpered(?), "I must become a person who can help others. That's why, with my gentleness, strength, and courage, I'll kill you."

"I'm going to use my branch of sin - Rari Ranshin to my heart's content" The brown-haired nodded with approval after seeing me come out unscathed in that "fight" of sorts, "That'd be the best choice to fight against woodpecker."

Another two weirdos appeared. They didn't seem to care too much about the death of the twins and woman and instead seemed to be more focused on eliminating me.

"I never thought you would become this..." Tamaki struggled to find the correct word to describe me, "Annoying."

Hmm...let's agree to disagree on that.

"Don't...bully...Fuutarou!" Shiro comes in once more with a flying dropkick, but those who attacked me were no ordinary people. The blond-haired cut Shiro while the brown-haired punched at her.

Simple actions, but their effects were much worse.

"SHIRO!"

But Shiro didn't let out much of a sound. She flew back a few tens of meters, and as I flew towards her, I could already see her healing.

"Shiro...is fine." Shiro spoke as she stood up, "Shiro feels no pain."

That hurt me more than ever. Since I knew that Shiro was undergoing so much pain back when we were children, I shouldn't have ignored her.

I often noticed her limbs falling off and her desperately trying to fix them back to her own body, trying not to let me know about them.

I often noticed her cry in pain, but I would only continue playing with her after asking a few words of concern. During the commotion that she made, I should have never left her back there all alone in that dark, painful place with no company.

I prioritized my own life over her suffering, something that most people would find justified.

But...

"I'm sorry, Shiro..." I brought my arms around her neck as I brought her close to me.

"Fuu...tarou?"

"I'm so sorry...I should have never left you here alone."

"W-What are you talking about? Shiro is not alone anymore!"

"Yeah...you won't be from now on..."

"What is this...?" The brown-haired man looked on with surprise in his eyes as the two deadmen walked towards us, "You're...completely fine?"

"This is the law of conservation of mass. Somebody's happiness is somebody else's unhappiness." The blond-haired spoke in surprise as well as they walked towards us, "That's why I chose to be a 'rubbish bin' so that others could be happy."

"But that's ironic, isn't it? If I was happy being a rubbish bin, that happiness would become somebody else's unhappiness. Therefore, to fill the world with happiness, we must make untwisted people into rubbish bins." The blond-haired let out a flow of tears from his eyes as a smile formed on his face, "Like you, right?"

"I don't know why she doesn't feel anything from my poison, but it matters not. What I need now is to make you feel the unhappiness instead."

"You clearly care for her a lot-"

"Don't bully Fuutarou!" Shiro interrupted him as the most surprising scene appeared.

Shiro's open palm revealed a chain very familiar to mine as it aimed towards the two deadmen.

BOOOOM!

An explosion sounded as the chain demolished what was left of the building. It was powerful, but perhaps due to Shiro's inexperience in using it, it lacked the accuracy needed. After all, she currently wasn't the Wretched Egg.

"You're a deadman too?"

"In that case, just to prevent you from moving, I'll put you into the 'Iron Maiden'." Pointing a claw towards Shiro's forehead, the blond-haired declared.
