"You aren't betrothed to each other?". Aiden inquired with a surprised expression on his face, a fake one.

"No, we aren't betrothed to each other, but as you said, we are very close to each other. I do have feelings for her though, and I'm sure she has feelings for me too".

The moment they arrived in the corridor, the boy glanced at the compound, and Aiden glanced at it as well, and Lucia was still standing in that same spot. The knight hasn't arrived yet...why does he come late?

The boy pointed to Lucia and uttered to Aiden, "That's Lucia, that's the girl you're referring to, right?".

Aiden only nodded his head, then the boy's voice resounded again, "Let's go meet her, it would be nice introducing you to her".

At this moment, Aiden was just hoping the boy wouldn't ask for his name. To introduce a person to someone, you have to tell the person his or her name, names must be exchanged.

..And even if the boy asks for his name, he was gonna lie.

They kept on walking until they arrived at the staircase and began dismounting it. Lots of students have left already, but there were still some in the corridors and on the compound.

Aiden made sure to stay behind the boy as they were descending the staircases. The boy was in a hurry, he wanted to introduce Aiden to Lucia quickly.

By the time he had finished descending all the staircases, he had arrived at the compound by now, he glanced back...and Aiden was nowhere to be found.

..He wasn't on the compound with him, he wasn't on the staircase either.

Maybe Aiden was slow at descending staircases, so the boy decided to wait for a while. It got to a point where he didn't glance back at all while descending the staircases, so he didn't know if Aiden was following him or not.
