Chapter 1 - Awakening

In a modest small town called the City of Floating Clouds in the slums where the sc.u.m of society lived, another child died. This child was six years old, and only recently he lost his only nurse in this place - his mother. This happened in a nook between the old houses, and no one looked at the falling corpse of the boy. He was nobody for them, so neither teenagers nor even a.d.u.l.ts helped him.

Everything went on as usual, and his death was no different from the death of an ordinary dog, but at the moment of his death the soul of our hero flew into his body. Everything happened instantly and quickly without bursts of energy, so no one, even from the higher kingdoms, discovered this.

Opening his eyes, the boy wanted to get up, but his legs gave way, and he had to lean against the wall. After examining the area around him and discovering beggars and the homeless, he showed no surprise.

"That means how ..." he muttered and headed out of the alley. Once on the street, where more or less decent people walked, the boy received only scornful and disgusted looks. And someone wanted to spit on him, but nothing came of it and he got into another passerby.

"You bastard, what did you do ?!" Do you know how much my mantle costs !?

- S-sorry!

"And I have good luck," a thought flashed across the child, and he resumed his step, stopping looking until a scream came from behind him.

- P-please ...! Nooo!

The boy turned and looked in surprise at how they had just killed a man who was trying to spit on him. Another man hit the apologized debris with his palm and tore his heart apart. And the worst part is that no one even raised an eyebrow ...

"But this is already interesting ..." the child whispered and accelerated his pace, trying not to hurt anyone. He just realized that death in this world is a common occurrence, which means: The weak are the food of the strong or something like that, he thought.

While the boy was walking towards the trees, where there were no residential buildings, his head was slightly ill.

"Wait ... City of Floating Clouds ..." - opening his eyes in surprise and freezing in place, he realized where he was. - "This is the world to swear ... name ..." - trying to remember the name of the book that he read with his great-grandson, he got out of his stupor and again resumed his step.

Once in the forest, the boy realized that he was only now in an unfavorable area and most likely on the outskirts of the city, so it took him only ten minutes of a quick step to get to the forest. There were no guards here or any defensive structure either. And the child did not like this state of affairs.

"They left these people unprotected ... trying to reduce the number of homeless people?" - the boy himself did not condemn them, because he perfectly understood the reasons for the advice of the city government to take such a step. The place - the slums, were just like dirt on clothes in the eyes of others.

While the boy was thinking and trying to remember everything he knew about this world, there was a click in his head, and a text appeared before his eyes. After reading it, he understood only one thing, that some kind of system was given to him, like a bonus that the avatar was talking about.

- What is a system? He muttered, trying to understand how it works, but the next second his head fell ill again, but already much stronger than before.

Spinning and knocking on a tree to suppress flour, the boy still did not make a single sound. Despite the fact that his body was only skin and bones, he could restrain the screams with his will.

Ten minutes later, the child breathed deeply and looked at the sky. All information about the system appeared in his head. By force of thought, having called the interface, he found only his statistics.

There was nothing interesting there, at least for him. He saw in the window his name, stamina, strength, level and much more, but this did not bother him. He looked only at the Level of Inner Strength.

"The Elementary Stage of Inner Strength Level 1 ..." - with a sigh in his mind, he decided to look at the available tasks.

There were many tasks, and everyone was diverse, from murders to ordinary missions.

Having opened the tab of the main tasks, the boy frowned.

- Become a True God? He read. Closing his eyes, the boy thought for a couple of minutes and said. - No, I will refuse. - stretching his finger to the button "Refuse", he blinked, as the button disappeared. - ... -

After a pause, he spoke again.

"Well, no one is forcing me to accept this task." I just won't take it. - after his calm and unemotional words, the interface in front of him blinked and the following what he saw: "Congratulations on accepting the assignment! The penalty of nonfulfillment: Death and the hellish torment of your soul! "

After reading the message, the boy did not panic, but only said.

- There is no time frame and other conditions that will put pressure on me. I just won't do it and that's it.

"Ding!"

A new window appeared before his eyes: "You have accepted the task, and if the System understands that you are not trying to fulfill it ... PENALTY: DEATH AND THE TORTURES OF YOUR SOUL AT Hades !!!!!!!"

-Ha ... naive soul. - the boy was not at all worried, but only smiled. "So someone is responsible for the system, yes?" It works in real time .... takes into account every change in this world ....

The boy thought for a moment, not paying attention to system messages. He dismissed them.

"This avatar really took offense at me, since he wants me to overcome it and not just go out of business ..." - he only smiled at that thought, remembering himself in his youth when he had to check his daughter's gentleman and give him absurd tasks.

- System, but can I die?

After his question there was silence, but he took his time and still lay on the grass. And only half an hour later he received an answer saying that they could kill him, but if he does or at least somehow contributes to his death, then the penalty is the same as that of the main task.

Deciding not to check what Hades's torment was, he only had to sigh and take it as it was. He never ran away from problems and solved them as they arrived, even if he did not want it.

After a little thought, the boy opened his status and looked at the line with the name. She was empty. He did not want to use the previous name and did not think.

"Since this is my new life, then the name will be new ..."

And when he wanted to introduce his new name, a forced window popped up in front of him with a task from which his eyes widened involuntarily. He had never reacted, thus, even in this situation ...

And it was written there ...

"Gain the trust of Jasmine ... time limit: 6 years"
