The End of Main Story (4)

At this moment, Rothgarr finally understood that Anna wanted to come to The Abyss, not only for the Human Realm, but also to escape from him! She must have seen those images last time she was here, but kept it from him! What did she mean she won’t necessarily die when she enters The Abyss? Yeah, of course she wouldn’t die. She just wanted to escape from him forever!

Rothgarr held Anna tightly, refusing to give her any chance to escape.

The wind here suddenly became violent and sharp like blades, slashing across his wings, leaving wounds all over him. The wings could not maintain flight, and the two fell downward together.

Rothgarr adjusted their falling angle before retracting his wings, causing the two of them to slam into the cliff. He grabbed a protruding rock with one free hand, and hung them from the cliff.

Rothgarr’s other arm held Anna, but the suction she felt in her palm did not weaken in any way.

She turned to look at Rothgarr, choked up. She said, “Let me go, if you keep going, you will die!”

The whites of Rothgarr’s eyes were bloodshot, and he sneered, “So what? It’s better than living alone forever like Balan.”

Anna was unwilling to say that without her, he could go to another woman. This would be an insult to his feelings. She turned her head and looked down. The cloud mirror moved down with her fall, and seemed to keep a certain distance from her forever. Her parents, Natalie, were still smiling at her in the cloud mirror.

She grabbed Rothgarr’s hand around her waist and tried to free herself.

“Anna!” Rothgarr yelled angrily, “You dare try! If you jump off, I will follow, don’t even try to get rid of me!”

Anna froze. She knew he could go through with what he said. She might be able to go back from where she came, but how would he follow her? The blades of the wind were sharper here in The Abyss, and was enough to tear him apart!

She turned her head and stared at him: “Why are you forcing me so much? I’m not happy here at all, can’t you let me go home? ”

“Not happy at all?” Rothgarr laughed angrily. “What about me? You’ve never been happy with me?”

“That’s right! Since the beginning, I’ve been worried every day because of you. I live under the shadow of not knowing when I will die. How could I be happy? You forcefully brought me to the Demon Realm, I couldn’t beat you, nor could I escape. What else can I do except pretend to be in love with you? I don’t want some stupid soul contract or lifespan sharing. You forced me to do that! The only thing I want to do is go home! To go back to the place where I was born and raised!”

With red eyes, Anna said this quickly and loudly.

Rothgarr’s face was already pale, and it became even more ugly at this moment. Anna’s words were like sharp knives piercing his heart. He gritted his teeth and looked at her, his blood-red eyes filled with waves: “You shut up!”

The words had already been spoken, and Anna couldn’t hold back any more, she continued: “Everything I’ve done has been to deceive you, to confuse you. I don’t love you at all! Even so, do you want to go with me? Does the Grand Duke of the Abyss love so humbly?”

Rothgarr wanted to shut Anna’s hurtful mouth; he didn’t want to hear her talking nonsense.

“Anna, you can’t lie to me.” His expression was cold, and his anger was firmly suppressed by him. “Your mouth is the most deceptive, but your body isn’t. Your eyes, your movements, your pandering to me, they are telling me that you love me! Do you think I will let you go just because you said those things?”

He looked at her coldly, gripping her tighter with one strong arm. He said ruthlessly like a hunter watching his prey that has escaped several times: “When you get out of here, I will remind you of everything!”

After speaking, Rothgarr kicked up into the cliff, and while his body was in a higher position then before, the hand that was holding the rock suddenly reached up and grabbed another protruding rock.

If Anna was willing to hold onto him tightly, then he would be able to climb up faster with both hands and feet, but right now, he could only spend more effort and climb up little by little.

Seeing that Rothgarr didn’t fall for this at all, Anna’s heart throbbed for a moment. She didn’t know whether he was too confident in himself, or if what he said was true; her feelings couldn’t be hidden from him.

She looked down. In the cloud mirror, they were still smiling at her.

At this time, there was another strong suction from below, and at the same time, the sharp wind blew towards them, cutting open numerous wounds on Anna’s limbs. Even Rothgarr’s arm holding her waist could not escape the attack.

To make matters worse, almost at the same time, the cliff rock he was holding on to suddenly broke apart, and he fell down with Anna. He managed to grab another rock, but Anna fell out of his arms , he only had time to grab her arm.

Rothgarr looked down and met Anna’s eyes looking up.

His arm was being cut by the sharp winds, and the blood gushed out and dripped down, gradually wetting their intertwined hands.

He could barely hold onto her.

“Don’t leave me.” Rothgarr looked at Anna firmly. He threatened Anna that he would follow her wherever she went, but he knew very well in his heart that he couldn’t go where she was going.

There was still strong suction on Anna’s lowered hand, and she knew very well that Rothgarr would not be able to hold her anymore.

As long as she exerted a little force, she could break free from his hand and go where she wanted to go as she wished.
