Coming to the Demon’s Rescue (4)

For this group of ladies, becoming a mage meant having better control of her own destiny. She wouldn’t need to be a victim of a political marriage, she could get with any kind of lover. Even if she really wanted to get married, the female mage would have greater autonomy. But because they did not have elemental affinity, they could only be completely controlled by the family, and marry a husband who she did not love at all, and after marriage, each have their own affairs.

One lady said sharply: “You are nothing but a mage in training! After studying for so long, you are still only a mage in training; you will never become a real mage in your life!”

Anna smiled and said, “So what? You can’t even become a mage in training, you trash.”

“You!” The lady gasped in anger, staring at Anna with red eyes.

Anna looked around and saw that these people seemed to have lost their fighting spirit, and decided to quit while she was ahead.

She looked at the ladies and announced, “Raymond is mine, I hope you won’t covet him anymore, otherwise, you’ll just be humiliating yourself.”

The ladies saw Anna acting arrogantly, and then saw Mage Raymond’s hand wrap tightly around her waist, they acquiesced to her words throughout the whole show. Even if they had a whole essay of angry words to spit out, they could only walk away in silent anger.

Anna knew that Magnolia, who was the person behind this entire ordeal, was still looking this way. She didn’t push the demon away immediately, but just hooked her finger at him, motioning him to come closer. When he lowered his head, she whispered in his ear: “Do you think I came very timely? Should you thank me for coming to your rescue?”

Rothgarr raised his head slightly and stepped back to look at Anna. Anna’s face reflected in his pupils. He asked firmly, “How do you want me to thank you?”

Anna thought, the handful of gold coins and hollow crystals you casually gifted Natalie would be very good.

“Cooperate with me.” Ana said, wrapping her arms around the demon’s neck while she stood on her tiptoes.

Magnolia watched that scene from a distance and almost dropped her glass in anger.

She knew that the woman named Anna was doing this on purpose for her to see, and that Anna knew that those noble ladies were sent over there by herself.

Indeed, as Anna said, those ladies were rubbish. They used to snatch each other’s little lovers with great enthusiasm, but they couldn’t even deal with a little girl who was not deep in world affairs!

But she wouldn’t admit defeat, Raymond would kneel under her skirts sooner or later!

When Anna finished the fake kiss which looked real from other angles, she looked at Magnolia and found that the other party had disappeared, probably running away in anger.

She suddenly was put in a good mood. Letting go of the demon, she said, “Thank you for your cooperation, it’s ok now.”

Rothgarr backed away silently, his face darkening.

He felt that Raymond’s body was too useless. He almost couldn’t restrain the impulse just from being too close to Anna, her lips close enough that he could lean in slightly and touch them. He suppressed it with all his strength just now and did not obey his body’s urge to kiss her, otherwise it would be too embarrassing.

When Anna turned around, she saw that the demon’s face was not looking too good, and after thinking about it, she didn’t ask any more questions.

Perhaps it was because he didn’t want to have too much physical contact with humans, but had to endure it for the sake of harvesting her soul smoothly?

How should she put it… She felt very happy when she thought that he didn’t want to touch her at all, and was only forced to because he wanted to harvest her soul.

Demon, oh demon. How low you’ve fallen!

Anna was of course very happy to be able to make the demon suffer. She couldn’t get rid of him, let alone kill him, but she could make him have to suffer within the framework of the rules he had to abide by.

Even just thinking about it made her happy.

After the opening dance, there were some people dancing in the brisk orchestral dance, and because of this, what happened in this corner just now didn’t attract too much attention from others.

Anna looked at the some reserved and some enthusiastic couples in the middle of the dance floor. With bad intentions in her heart, she approached the demon and asked him, “Can you dance?”

Rothgarr paused. Raymond could, because it was a skill that nobles had to learn.

“You want to dance?” he retorted.

Anna looked expectant: “Yeah, I want to learn! You know, I’m just a commoner, and I don’t have the opportunity to learn such skills that are not beneficial to survival, but sooner or later I will become a noble, and now I want to learn it first. Can you teach me?”

“This is very beneficial in helping us understand each other, I have no reason to refuse.” Rothgarr said with a haughty voice, then took Anna’s hand and stepped onto the dance floor.

As for the faint joy in his heart, he still attributed it to the influence of Raymond’s body on him.

Anna followed Rothgarr onto the dance floor, imitating the postures of the people around her.
