Inside The Abyss (5)

There were some turbulence attacks in The Abyss, but because Rothgarr was protecting her, Anna herself was not injured, but he was constantly injured. She could only try her best to heal the wounds within her reach.

After flying for an unknown amount of time, Anna felt hungry.

She knew Rothgarr didn’t need food to survive, but she did. How long did it take Rothgarr to fly out of The Abyss? Perhaps she would die of thirst and starvation before he flew out.

Anna just put her arms around Rothgarr, healing him from time to time, without saying anything.

After some more time, Anna felt an unbearable thirst. Her lips were dry, and her stomach was empty.

It was a pity that the water condensed by the water element in this world was not real water; it was just a false comfort.

Anna closed her eyes and hugged Rothgarr tightly, and suddenly felt a lightness in her body. When she opened her eyes, The Abyss was right in front of her eyes and was moving away.

They made it out!

Rothgarr slowed down, looked back at The Abyss, held Anna’s hand tightly, and whispered, “Let’s go back.”

Anna nodded, and said after a while, “I planted The Abyss tree seed in there.”

“That’s okay,” Rothgarr said.

Anna asked again: “What was that place with the clear water and green mountains?”

Rothgarr frowned. “I don’t know either.”

Anna sighed inwardly. Then there was really no need to talk about the mark on her palm; he didn’t know about it, anyway, and it would make him worry for no reason if she told him.

Anna glanced into The Abyss again. The pull of The Abyss was even greater than before, attracting her to jump towards it like a moth to a flame.

She saw a black shadow come out of The Abyss. It stopped in mid-air for a moment, seemed to be looking in their direction, and then the figure walked in another direction.

Anna withdrew her gaze and asked, “Are your injuries serious? How about we stop and rest first, and I’ll help you heal.”

Anna had thought that Rothgarr would refuse. After all, he would only ask her to heal him when he was purposely trying to play with her.

But he said yes, and then landed on the ground. As Anna was about to heal him, Rothgarr fell to the ground with a thud and passed out.

Anna was taken aback. She quickly squatted down to check his situation.

Rothgarr had retracted his wings. She saw many wounds on his body, all from The Abyss. The biggest wound was on his back, which was as long as her forearm, and when she used the Holy Healing spell, she could only heal the surface of the wound. She vaguely felt the violent energy in The Abyss raging in Rothgarr’s body.

Anna looked around. They were already some distance away from The Abyss, but around them was still a desert-like place.

She had to get Rothgarr back to the castle as soon as possible.

She vaguely remembered the location of Rothgarr’s castle. Her plan was to head back to the castle first, and if Rothgarr was still not awake by then, she would go find Balan. This was mainly because she didn’t know the location of Balan’s castle; otherwise, she would have gone directly to Balan. Rothgarr had said that Balan would not kill her anymore.

Anna knew that even with magic, it would be difficult for her to bring a large man like Rothgarr back to the castle.

She looked around, and soon noticed that there were several unidentifiable demonic creatures about a hundred meters away.

She was now a three-star mage herself, and with the bracelet, she could beat even slightly powerful demonic creatures.

But Anna didn’t dare to go too far from Rothgarr, so she just waited quietly until a demonic creature spotted her and Rothgarr and leaned over after some sizing up.

Anna pretended to be injured as well, lying beside Rothgarr. When the demonic creature that looked like a cow got close enough, she instantly threw the thunder element formed in her hand, causing the demon creature to let out a tragic “moo”.

Anna could see from this attack that the demon creature’s strength was not very strong, so she continued to attack the demonic creature. When it had suffered a lot of injuries and was lying on the ground gasping for breath, she then stopped and said, “Can you understand human language?”

The cow-like demonic creature looked up at Anna. It initially thought that she would kill it. Seeing that she was trying to communicate with it, it realized that it could still live for a while and nodded quickly.

“Good. Now, you carry him on your back. I’ll let you go when you get us to our destination.” Anna warned, “But if you dare to play tricks, I will have you die a terrible death.”

The cow-like demonic creature mooed, then bowed its head again in submission.

But when Anna moved Rothgarr onto the cow-like demon creature, it realized that what it was going to carry was a demon, and its legs went limp.

“Stand firm! If you let him fall, you’re done for!” Anna threatened.

The cow-like demonic creature bleated in horror, and quickly stood upright, not daring to shake any more.

The cow-like demonic creature was not small in size, and there was still room after placing Rothgarr on it. Anna was afraid that Rothgarr would not sit still and fall off, and she was also worried that the cow-like demonic creature would take Rothgarr away, so she also sat on its back.

As expected, the cow-like demonic creature was still very stable. Hearing Anna’s order, it spread its hooves and ran.

Before, Rothgarr had flown with Anna at full speed for half a day before reaching The Abyss. The speed of the cow-like demonic creature was not slow, but it was still far from Rothgarr’s speed, so it took two full days to reach the castle.

During this period, Anna caught another small demonic creature, roasted it, and let the cow rest overnight. What made her concerned was the fact that Rothgarr still hadn’t woken up yet.

Seeing that the castle was just ahead, Anna patted the cow-like demonic creature and said in a complimenting tone: “Come on, victory is just ahead!”

At this time, the domesticated demonic creatures headed by Gray Gray ran over one after another, as if welcoming their owners home.

Anna didn’t know how long she had been in The Abyss, maybe a few days.
