Human Realm (1)

Because of Anna’s warning, these five-star mages did not dare to act rashly.

This was the Demon Realm; they were very unfamiliar with this place. The faint pressure in the air made them deeply uncomfortable. It seemed that their mental power was gradually being compressed, as if they were being buried in the sand, making it hard for them to even breathe well.

The leader, Bishop Christopher, was the commander of this operation. He signaled his companions to stay calm, looked at Anna solemnly but said gently: “Mage Anna, you are betraying mankind. Demons wantonly enter and leave the Human Realm and kill countless humans; you shouldn’t help demons.”

Anna knew that her stance was indeed wrong, but it was also impossible for her to give up her resistance and hand over Rothgarr.

She ignored the red-clothed bishop’s words and said: “The Demon Realm is a very dangerous place for you, and soon another demon will come. You’d better leave as soon as possible.”

She wondered how these people came here, but now was not the time to ask such things. Besides, they probably wouldn’t tell her.

When Bishop Christopher saw that Anna was not being compliant, the gentleness on his face disappeared.

They really couldn’t stay in the Demon Realm for too long. Every second they stayed was one more second of danger. It was a pity that they couldn’t capture the unconscious demon who had long disappeared from their line of sight, but there was nothing they could do about it.

Bishop Christopher raised his staff, looked at Anna and said, “Mage Anna, please come back with us.”

Anna made a gesture of resistance: “What if I say no?”

Bishop Christopher said: “Then please forgive us for being rough.”

As he finished speaking, the rest of the five-star mages had already adjusted their state and surrounded Anna.

Anna looked into the distance. The smoke and dust produced by Gray Gray and White Fur’s wild running were completely gone. This was the Demon Realm. It was gloomy day and night, and the visibility was very low. It was too difficult to track them with the naked eye when they had already run far away, not to mention that human mages could not stay long in the Demon Realm.

That meant that Rothgarr was pretty much safe now. But it would take time for Gray Gray and the others to reach Balan, and she couldn’t hold out that long.

Anna saw that the red-clothed bishop didn’t seem to want to kill her. He looked like he wanted to take her back. She didn’t know what would happen to her if she was taken back to the Human Realm, but she imagined it would be better than dying at their hands now.

She had no mental strength at all now and was barely holding on. If these mages mistakenly think that she was still able to fight, they would go all out when besieging her, and she would die in an instant.

Anna smiled: “Then I’d better surrender.”

She raised her hands as she finished speaking.

The battle strength of a mage mainly depended on mental power, so even though Anna raised her hands up, the five-star mages on the opposite side did not dare to relax.

Bishop Christopher stepped forward at the risk of being played by Anna, approached her and said to her, “Apologies.”

He took out an unattractive bracelet and clasped it on Anna’s wrist.

At this moment, Anna’s perception of natural elements seemed to be blocked by something.

She remembered that when she was kidnapped by Magnolia, she had a similar experience. Presumably, it was this magic circle that confined her mental power.

After confining Anna’s mental power, Bishop Christopher took a step back, and another female mage came up and tied Anna’s hands behind her. The simple magic circle that confined her mental power was easy to eliminate physically, so another safety measure must be added.

Anna was very obedient. She felt quite honored to be tied up by a dignified five-star mage.

After capturing Anna, the group of six immediately walked into the castle.

Anna entered the castle but stopped when she saw the figure waiting by the teleportation portal.

It was Leon.

The environment of the Demon Realm was extremely bad for Leon. He sat cross-legged on the edge of the teleportation portal. His face was pale, and he held a ruby pendant in his hand, pressing it against the edge of the teleportation portal. At this moment, the teleportation portal was glowing slightly, and there was a breeze from the other end, which made Leon feel better.

“Leon…” Anna stopped in front of him and looked down at him.

Leon looked up and saw that Anna was tied up. His expression changed slightly. He looked at Bishop Christopher and said, “Your Excellency, why did you tie Anna? I have told you the truth about that day. If it wasn’t for Anna, the demon would have killed many people.”

Bishop Christopher said: “Just now when we were going to capture the injured and unconscious demon, she had stopped us.”

Leon looked surprised and looked at Anna in shock.

He always thought that Anna was taken captive to the Demon Realm, and the last time he saw Anna, it was also the same thing. Anna went with the demon on the condition that the demon would not hurt the innocent.

Thus, he couldn’t believe what Bishop Christopher said.

Anna had nothing to say when she looked at Leon.
