Remind Me Mister

Chapter 14 - Familiar Face Slowly Crept Clearer

After everything was settled out they had put Lianna in the private room. Grey felt relived when they told her that she just passed out.

When the doctors are gone he was left standing beside her. He then carefully looked at her delicate face and his cold expression by facing the doctors warmed up.

He stared at her face for a while to reassure himself that he's not hallucinating before he decided to sit but the door suddenly opened and Mrs. Tugade suddenly rushed inside in a flash.

"Grey! My son! What happened?! Are you ok? Where are you hurt? Tell me! Where?!"

She dashed in front of him and touched his face and arms while asking questions he can't even keep up with.

Grey frowned and held Mrs. Tugade in the shoulders.

"Mom..? Keep your voice down. Someone is resting."

Mrs. Tugade felt puzzled and stared at his son before turning her head to the hospital bed. Her eyes widened instantly when the familiar face slowly crept clearer.

"I-I-Impossible! H-how could this be..?Lianne?!"

She rushed towards her and when she was about to hold her face Grey appeared and grab his mother's arm away.

"Mom. Please keep yourself in control."

Mrs. Tugade was in daze that she can't even react to what Grey was already saying. After everything sink inside Mrs. Tugade's head her tears started swirling in her eyes.

"I-I can't believe this. She's actually alive. She actually lived without us knowing..."

Mrs. Tugade covered her mouth with her arms. Grey hugged her and coaxed her until she calmed down.

Mrs. Tugade sat down from the mini living room while massaging her glabella. Grey gave her a glass of water and sat opposite to her.

"Where did you find her?" Mrs. Tugade shook her head and look at Grey. "Do you know that she's still alive?"

"At school. No." Grey answered precisely and straight.

"School?" Mrs. Tugade frowned. "I guess taking you overseas was a mistake. I should have searched and checked if they are still alive that time."

Grey looked at his mom and softened his expression. "It's not your fault mom."

Mrs. Tugade smile bitterly and played with the glass. She then sighed heavily and put the glass at the table. "Ok. I guess I should go now and you... take your time with her. I know how much you misses her."

Mrs. Tugade stood up and when she was about to step away she stopped and looked at Grey.

"Oh but shouldn't you put your bags down? I mean you look sweet with that look darling but you should probably put them down." She then left chuckling.

Grey just also noticed their bags on his back when Mrs. Tugade mentioned it. He smiled and took her at the door to bid goodbye.

He removed their bags and put it in the sofa and went beside Lianna. He sat beside her and caged her arm with his. He smiled and held her arm in his forehead.

"I'm glad I get to see you again."
