Resident Evil: Survived

I'm lying in my room and glanced at the clock,its 19.03. Damn this cast and my impulse to deny my predicament. It's funny how lying for weeks kinda force me to calm and accepting the reality.

I'm already inside Resident Evil world like it or not. 'I got to get out of this city A.S.A.P before the T-virus infection spread and kills me. All this thinking make me hungry, usually at this hour the nurse Melinda would doing rounds bringing our supper. Note to my self; eat something tasty when I get out, hospital food taste bleak.

At the same time another ward

big ruckus happening.

"Get back! otherwise I'll hit you. Scream the nurse.

"Whhhaa". shambling forward a person, wearing hospital gown whose eyes sclera are white with wounds gaping and festering veins showing up. It keep moving while the hand stretch forward. as if trying to grab anything.

"Aaaa" scream the nurse while swinging the IV stand.

'Crush' the sound of the end of IV stand hitting and cut open the eyelid, nose. As if nothing happens, the patient managed to grab the nurse.The Mouth open wide and sink the teeth to the nurse shoulder. gobbled her up like some kind of tasty chicken dinner.

"Aaaaaraagh heeelp me! heeelp ..." the sob start to die down. Couple more shambling persons...no creature that used to be human, started biting and chewing the girl.

Same thing also happening in different wings of hospital. Doctors try to resuscitate patient only to be bitten in the face by infected patients

the chaos in the patient room, people try to reasons, plead shambling being that was their relative to no avail. Only end up to be another Carcass.

' Hmmmh.. it seems I felt asleep while waiting. I glanced at clock time show it eight pass two P.M. Strange, the food should be distributed by now. I'm famished. Let's press the call button.

'zzzzt'.

After a while no one came, weird usually it takes only two minutes for standing Nurse heed the buzzer. ' Growl' ah my hungry stomach make sounds.

Ah damn I can't hold it. Might as well take a walk to nurse station.

I reach for the crutch on the side of the bed. Gritting my teeth try to hold the pain when I step to the floor.

When I reach the nurse stations are empty. Strange there's no nurse on standby duty. limping away try to find any nurse that on guard duty.

'where everyone go?' after couple meters I see a nurse there. Judging by body silhouette it's should be Melinda "hello Melinda"

Than she turnaround.

'AAAAAAH!!!!' I scream hard .

The white sclera eyes, the bloodied uniform and rip trachea gave air away. Infected zombie. The scream attracted her attention.

She lounge forward trying to grab me.

'Aaargh. I swing my casted hand at Melinda zombie face. Good and bad move, the good it solid hardness give oomph to punch and the bad...it hurts Hell! (Author: what do you expect from broken hand, MC?). I managed to knock her down. Then flurries of crutch beatings at her head, it broke not after the skull crack like watermelon.

Running of my breath, the pain of casted body part started to act up.I try to descent get the hell out of this hospital. Pushing elevator button trying to call it up. after while ' Ding' sound come, the lift floor lights on and it's open.

The elevator is full with shambling zombies, I tried backing up without making sounds.

Bad move, I trip and the sound attracted the zombies.

'Shit'.

All of them look at the next tasty meals.... Me. ' Groarr' one of the jump and grab my casted leg. Panic I try swinging my casted legs no avail. It's only clinging harder making escape impossible. Doesn't take long for the zombies start piling on top of me. The sound of my flesh being bit started filling the room.

As i lying dying, feeling my body rip apart as the zombies chewing me . consciousness started drift away.

A hovering red blood words manifest in front of me

' YOU DIED'
