Professor Sycamore and his team returned to Kalos after a week with lot of collected data about mega evolution. This data can effectively speed up their research.

There are two more months left for Indigo league to begun. So Sam is doing final spurt of trainig with his pokemons. He got to know that Gary will be returning within two weeks and Ash will come back in a month.

Sam lived a week of leisurely life of resting, training his pokemon, spending time with his parents and increasing bonding with Vivi. He also went to Professor Oak's lab from time to time because Professor Oak wants to study the shiny pokemons.

On a certain day, when Sam was training his pokemons he heard the sound of system in his mind.

Task Completed

Find the reason for stronger strength of shiny pokemons in comparision with their normal counterpart.

Sam had totally forgotten about this task that he had given to system but when he heard that this task has been completed he saw his Professor certificate coming to his hands soon.

'Show detailed report of the task.'

'It was observed that the shiny variation of pokemon are stronger that the normal pokemon a lot of time ago. But due to lack of shiny pokemons to study it was never discovered why. The task was completed because a shiny pokemon is born in Small world. The main reason for the variation in pokemon is that when the IVs of a pokemon is full it will cause subtle changes in the colour of cells of the pokemon. In other word, a pokemon will become shiny when its genetic innate talent is full.'

Sam knows that this world didn't have concept of IVs so it didn't prevent him proposing it. In other words, a pokemon will become shiny in appearance as soon as his IV is full.

'System is this how the shiny encounterer works?'

'Yes, when host uses the shiny encounterer bar, system will forcefully make IV value of a random pokemon in a certain area around host, thus making it shiny.'

Sam observed the whole data provided by system and slowly perfected his theory. He plans to give it to Professor Oak before the start of Indigo league and let him show it to the top level of Alliance during Indigo league.

Sam was living as usual but after a week passed by when Professor Sycamore and his team left kanto, a grand news came that shook the entire kanto.

The main base of Team Rocket had a large explosion and a lot of core members of Team Rocket died there. Giovanni himself was missing with only a few members left in Team Rocket.

Sam read this news and thought, 'Looks like Mewtwo has finally freed himself. Now let's just wait for him to send the invitations for the strongest trainer.'

The news of Team Rockets weakening didn't affect Sam much but the top level were acting as if someone injected them with chicken blood. They led the Alliance inspectors to raid and dug out the remaining bases of Team Rocket. And so a week passed and Team Rocket's essence qi weaken a lot in kanto region. But these things have nothing to do with Sam as he is now battling Gary who just returned to Pallet town today.

"Draceon, finish it with Dragon Claw." Draceon jumped towards Blastoise with its claw enlarged with infusion of dragon energy and struck on Blastoise's face. Blastoise flew out and landed at some distance and fainted.

"This time you won, but I will defeat you in the Indigo league Sam." said Gary and took back Blastoise.
