Golden Agent of the Adonis (35)

Last night, I accidentally overdosed myself with alcohol, so the happiest time I felt today was seeing the sun this morning. This day marks a brand new start for me and I will start afresh.  I hope me and Fang Zhenxuan won’t disappoint everyone in the future.

It’s already very late, so everyone should rest early. Thank you to all the little angels today, we love you all~]

In this entire day that was full of melee battles, Chu Xiang’s Weibo was like a stream of clear water, holding the power to calm the people’s hearts.

She didn’t use official speeches nor did she talk in a euphemistic manner to insult him. Instead, she explained her relationship with Chen Lifeng with the most simple words as if she was chatting with a friend. Incidentally, she also expressed that she liked her new partner very much.

Chen Lifeng’s loyal fans scolded Chu Xiang for behaving in a scheming manner, but the number of people doing so was too small, which was why those types of comments were quickly drowned out. Netizens who liked Chu Xiang analyzed her Weibo page after expressing that she enjoyed her new partner. “Who was the new partner?” they wondered. She tagged @FangZhenxuan in her statement, and after clicking into his page, netizens found out that he was a top student in law school!

She also stated that she preferred handsome little brothers and even started off with an ’emmm’ when she described the issue between her and Chen Lifeng. This could be regarded as her merely stating the fact as it was, but it could also be interpreted as her satirization towards Chen Lifeng, whom she couldn’t be bothered with!

It was ridiculous that just a while ago, Chen Lifeng and Zhou Yuan’s statements sort of implied that Chu Xiang was infatuated with him. In the end, she was the one who came out with the truth, declaring that she didn’t like the type of men like Chen Lifeng and subtly hinted that he wasn’t handsome since she merely mentioned that he was the mature type— what a slap in the face!

Then, there were the ‘little angels’ that Chu Xiang addressed. Today, all the people who spoke up for Chu Xiang were pure passers-by. Maybe there were fans of other celebrities who couldn’t watch this play out any longer and decided to help, but they were not Chu Xiang’s fans. Even though the amount of aid they provided Chu Xiang with was large, they didn’t expect her to address them in her speech and were quite moved by the fact . A simple ‘little angel’ had inexplicably carried some warmth to her words, which made them feel a lot better.

After Chu Xiang posted the statement, Chen Lifeng immediately posted another Weibo post. The main idea was to hope that everyone would stop believing the rumors, implying that this was nothing more than a malicious slander and they would reserve the right to investigate further. Then, he blessed Chu Xiang, hoping that she would get well as soon as possible and embark on a more brilliant path.

He didn’t dare to add anything else for fear of being caught again. At this time, he could only behave like a man with his tail between his legs.

And Zhou Yuan didn’t need to speak out anymore at this time— the lawyer’s letter she posted before was enough, so remaining silent was the best course of action.

Some netizens wondered if Chu Xiang was persuaded and was pressured to not tear the masks of the instigators to reveal the entire truth since her Weibo post didn’t have much intention of expressing goodwill. After reading it carefully several times, it seemed like they used to be colleagues working hard towards a goal. After a long time together, it was inevitable that there would be some happy moments, but due to their conflicting ideas, they parted ways. Even so, that did not necessarily mean that they were friends from beginning to end. And Chu Xiang’s saying that she liked handsome little brothers seemed more akin to mocking Chen Lifeng for not being qualified enough for her to think of as a romantic interest, which contradicted the usual public relations copywriting styles.

But, it was untenable to use this point to criticize Chu Xiang. Some people mentioned that although some of the photos looked ambiguous, there were also some that looked indifferent. If they related the matter to the friends they met in college, as she said, they thought that it was likely to occur. Today might have been a good day, tomorrow they would feel like normal friends, but after graduating, the friendship might simmer away after not keeping in touch.

It might be because of the relatable example that Chu Xiang had provided. Netizens thought of the classmates and colleagues around them before inexplicably agreeing with her words. The idea that she and Chen Lifeng were lovers then disappeared just like that. After all, Chu Xiang didn’t like Chen Lifeng.

Chen Lifeng finally did a good job in settling the issue with the public, but he couldn’t be happy. Apart from his lost image and resources, Chu Xiang’s attitude was like a stab in the heart to him.

Obviously, it was him who turned away and dumped Chu Xiang, but why did it seem like she was the one who left him to rot in a dumpster??

Nevertheless, no one was paying attention to him anymore. Apart from clarifying the matter, Chu Xiang’s Weibo also discreetly and successfully shifted the focus of attention to Fang Zhenxuan!

It wasn’t obvious at first, but later on, more and more people went to find the ‘handsome little brother’ that Chu Xiang preferred. The pictures they found the most were of her being in the hospital with Fang Zhenxuan. There were also those who followed her Weibo to Fang Zhenxuan’s Weibo account, marveling that he was not only a top student but also the President of the Student Union. Eventually, he was on the road to become an artist that Chu Xiang admired.
