Chapter 1

“What is this…?”

Kang Ha-jin squeezed his blood-flowing shoulder, clenched his teeth, and stared at her.

In front of him stood six men and women with scornful smiles on their lips. A man standing in the middle threw his words out.

“It’s nothing. It’s just… a little disturbing.”

“What?”

Ha-jin Kang stared at the man who had just spoken with absurd eyes.

“Do you think you can close this dungeon without me… without me? Do you think you will be able to end this battle that has been going on for 10 years!”

The man shook his head.

“Of course not. Yes, there is no deceptive buff and healing, how do you close this damn dungeon?”

Hajin Kang shouted as if he was vomiting his blood.

“Then why are you doing this! You don’t know what happens if you don’t close this place, don’t you?”

The man grinned.

“How is it going?”

“What?”

“How is it going? You didn’t really believe that the world would be destroyed if you didn’t close this dungeon, did you?”

Kang Ha-jin looked at the man blankly at the unexpected words.

“👑👑👑👑. Well, that’s not entirely wrong. The world could be ruined. But that’s the way, isn’t it? There’s not necessarily just one. Without having to close this dungeon, I could have just let the world run the same way.”

“Nonsense.”

Hajin Kang flatly denied it. He prides himself on knowing more than anyone in the world about the dungeons and the Awakening, and the system that underlies them all.

If you do not close this dungeon, the king of the dungeon will go out into the world. If so, they must wage a war against a disaster that is dangerous and terrifying beyond comparison.

It was different from just opening a dungeon and the monsters crouching inside jumped out.

“Do you know everything? Are you sure you have a complete grasp of the dungeon and system?”

The man’s voice grew louder.

“Are you closing this? After closing this dungeon? Have you ever thought about what a world without dungeons would be like? All dungeons are gone! The system will disappear too! So what about us?”

Hajin Kang said urgently.

“Just because the dungeon disappears doesn’t mean the system disappears!”

“Well, is it really? Are you sure?”

Of course I’m not sure. But I was sure it would. Because I was able to infer enough from various circumstances and information.

“Obviously it will be.”

Hajin Kang said so with certainty. Then the man sighed and shook his head.

He didn’t answer. The answer came from behind Kang Ha-jin.

“Of course it will go away. All your strength will disappear with me. Why? It’s just a channel through which the system can project its power into the world.”

Hajin Kang slowly turned around at the sound he heard from behind.

A huge being stood there, with a black aura wafting from its body.

It was Marbas, the king of this last dungeon.

A black aura spread like a mist around Marvas. Everything it touched was rotten.

Marvas spread his power everywhere and looked down at Ha-jin Kang in front of him.

“Certainly, it must have been dangerous. The contract was made.”

At Marbas’s words, the faces of the six who pushed Ha-jin Kang turned red.

They slowly retreated back as soon as the contract was finished.

Hajin Kang looked at them and shouted.

“What kind of contract did you make?”

Again, Marvas answered.

“It’s a contract that I won’t leave this dungeon. Instead, it is a contract that guarantees my safety.”

It seemed that six people had already left the dungeon. Their presence has completely disappeared.

Hajin Kang looked at Marmas with a disappointed expression.

“It doesn’t end when I disappear. Surely other people will kill you and close this place.”

Marbas shook his head.

“It’s not going to happen. They were supposed to protect this place. I don’t have to leave here. After all, all dungeons on Earth are mine. The war never ends.”

“You are hiding something.”

“Everyone has one or two secrets they want to hide. I am included in it too. Are you not too?”

Marvas looked really happy.

“Now, it’s time to say goodbye.”

The black aura emanating from Marbas’s body grew thicker and then began to coalesce. It soon became a black window.

Hajin Kang clenched his teeth.

“Do you think I’ll just die like this?”

He pointed a broken sword. Healing skills could not be used. Because the skill was sealed due to betrayal.

But the buff skill was still usable.

Hajin Kang swung his broken sword and rushed at Marbas. Blood gushed out of his mouth, and poison spurted out of his bulging eyes.

All kinds of buffs permeated Ha-jin Kang’s body.

Aww!

Power and power collided, and a huge explosion sounded.

Marvas was startled. This is because Ha-jin Kang’s strike was much greater than expected.

But that was the limit of Ha-jin Kang.

Bubbly!

Ha-jin Kang’s body was bleeding all over.

“Big.”

Kang Ha-jin glared at Marbas, covered in blood.

Marbas’s heart trembled for a moment at Ha-jin Kang’s eyes.

But the horror quickly disappeared.

Ha-jin Kang stood like that, staring at Marbas, and stopped breathing.

“You’re a damn bastard.”

With Marbas’ muttering, Hajin Kang’s body turned to dust and scattered in the air.

‘It’s been so long, I don’t know if my memory is perfect, but it seems to be exactly the same situation as back then?

So how should we take this?

You may think that the same experience happened by chance. However, Kang Ha-jin’s thoughts flowed in a different direction than that.

“I wonder if I am back in the past? Or was everything I’ve been through a dream?”

In terms of probability, the latter is more likely. But somehow, the weight of his thoughts was added to the side that he had returned to the past.

If you go back to the past with memories, everything makes sense

At that time, I fell off a cliff, so it was natural to feel like my body was going to break like this, because it was before I woke up, so there would be no magic power, and of course the system was not connected.

Hajin Kang slowly walked towards the cliff.

Originally, dungeon portals did not appear while exercising physical power in this way. Now this dungeon is special.

Unlike other dungeons, this dungeon enters the process of awakening the moment you enter it.

After clearing the dungeon, the awakening is complete.

“I didn’t expect an opportunity like this to come again…”

Kang Ha-jin thought of this dungeon whenever there was a difficult task while living as an Awakened for over 10 years.

What I would do then, if I had dealt with the situation in a different way, I would have been able to get more, those thoughts.

No matter how much I thought about it, in fact, there were far more memories in the dungeon than in this intense memory before entering the dungeon.

Is this really the dungeon back then?

Ha-jin Kang was thinking like that, and he went into the dungeon portal with high expectations that he would like to do it again.
