Revolution Era: Awakening

Chapter 1 - Let Me Play First!

Like any other day in my company, I'm still doing paperwork even thought it's almost 10 PM. The first VMMMORPG, something that I d.e.s.i.r.ed to create ever since my early teens, is going to be released tomorrow and of course, with the date so close, lot of office work.

Well, sometimes I can't stop looking back at the things that happened in my life. I wasn't considered even inteligent or even smart, I was the every day boy

with above average grades, until the time that I played a retro mmorpg game called 'Ragnarok', it was pretty simple, starting as an aprenddice leveling

until you get job level 10, then changing for your first official class, leveling some more, trying to drop itens. It was a pretty old game,

though now in 2035, the official server is still working just fine, not as much players as the peak of the game, but globally, still a lot of people playing this

retro game.

I was 13 when I started to play the game, if I remember it right. Then it happened, I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, I wanted to create

a magic and sword game on which you can really enter the game. With a simple life bar that don't show numerical value, so the player

can see his health but no numerical number showing how much health points he still have, just like in real life you would have to trust your own

judgment regarding your body, if you're physicaly tired you rest or if hurt you search for a doctor. Of course potions help in these situations.

That moment, more than 20 years ago, made me study everything to create this game of my dreams, my grades have risen up,

probaly I just didn't have a real motivation

before so I never tried to study seriously?

I studied programing, learned to draw, game design, animation, I wanted evereything to be perfect. By the time I noticed, I was already 19. Considered

globally a genius, I then pick up interest in Artificial Inteligence, after all, how could my dream's game world have to be dependent of humans? Hell no!

After 6 years I finally created the 'god' who would take care of my creation Gaia, an AI who could take care properly of the world I programed, a world

in wich you didn't need to chose a single job and follow a set role of skills, no in my world you can chose 3 classes to play simultaniously, for example a

warrior and mage! In the game you train your levels and mastery that are classified by tiers, from 0 to 10, tough having more than a single class make

harder to level up and also some classes uses diferent weapons wich makes the player have to swich beetween then, of course, the players can focus in

a single class like Archer or Tank and have skill of other classes to get buffs without trading their weapons or can use combo, for exemple, if someone

start with a mage, he can simply find the cleric card class (that give a second or third class), sinse both use rod/staff it wouldn't

become a problem at all.

Then I spend another few years to study and develop a game cabin, with proper nutrition fluid so players can stay in game a longer time, on wich became

a gold mine. I earned a lot of money though patents and sofwares of my researchs while trying to produce my game, including new security softwares,

animation sofwares...

Okay I won't lie... it's most softwares creation so that I could finance my researchs to make my dream real, but the neural connection was the true revolution.

After all I didn't want to create a simple game, I wanted to bring to life to the dream of various gamers, to bring a new era.

While looking at the clock that is already aproaching 11 PM, I talk to myself:

"Now that I finally finished this damm paperwork, I gess nothing better than test the game that I dedicated so much of effort in it"

Yeah... you can find it strange that I never even tested my own game... but with so much work and the fact that I wanted to play with everyone else in the

world, you wouldn't find that strange. So why I'm entering now? Simple, I don't wanna anyone steal my IGN ( In Game Name ).

Moving toward a room at the back of the office, there's a Game Capsule.

Laying in, I almost can't hold down my on enthusiasm, and like any other person would dream of, I spoke:

"Link Start"

-Initializing protocols

-Initializing life suport

-Checking nutrient fluid

-Checking emergency systems

-All Clear

-Welcome to "Revolution Era"

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM*
