RING Of Fate

Chapter 36 - Plant a misfortune

However, Yan Weimin had made up his mind to have Ling Yang expelled from the school. He ignored Zhu Hongcheng's discouragement and cried out, "Mr. Zhu, I don't think a bad student like Ling Yang deserves to be praised in front of all the teachers and students."

"Yan Weimin!" Zhu Hongcheng scolded in a much louder voice and cast him a threatening glance.

But Yan Weimin was rather stubborn. He flushed bright red as a spurt of anger flashed through him. "Mr. Zhu, listen to me. Ling Yang doesn't respect the teachers, and always fight with others. He even has something to do with gangsters. I have already born these. But this time he has gone too far. He put a shit into the desk of the platform. He is such an unruly student and a cancer of our school. He doesn't deserve the award."

While Yan Weimin was enumerating Ling Yang's wrongdoings, Zhu Hongcheng turned livid with rage and believed Ling Yang really went too far this time. However, Ling Yang was the nephew of the deputy director general of the Bureau of Education. Zhu Hongcheng turned to Ling Yang and asked, "Ling Yang, was Mr. Yan telling the truth?"

Ling Yang shook his head and answered, "Mr. Zhu, this is pure conjecture. First of all, I fought with others two times because they offended me first. The first time I fought with Xue Yuancheng because he tried to hit me; the second time a few gangsters tried to stir up troubles and I was forced to fight back. Teacher Han Sha could testify on behalf of me. Mr. Yan came to the conclusion that I have something to do with the gangsters on the grounds that why the gangsters hit me instead of others.

I believe Xue Yuancheng hired these gangsters to hit me.

Second, Mr. Yan accused me of not respecting the teachers. I don't agree with that. Mr. Yan wronged me in saying that I put the shit in the draw, so I had to speak for myself. I don't think there is a law or school regulation that stipulates a student cannot defend himself when being framed by a teacher.

I must speak for myself that it wasn't me who put the shit in the drawer.

I was the last person to leave the classroom, so Mr. Yan stated categorically that I put the shit in the drawer. The reason is far-fetched.

Mr. Zhu, I also want to accuse Mr. Yan of being opinionated and explosive. He maligns a student without investigating the facts and holds a completely different attitude toward students with good and bad results. He even shooed students out of the classroom at class hours and carried out physical punishments. I'm finished, Mr. Zhu."

After saying that, Ling Yang bent down to Zhu Hongcheng and said, "Mr. Zhu, thank you for giving me the opportunity to defend myself."

After hearing Ling Yang's explanation, Yan Weimin had a straight face. He shouted, "Ling Yang, you are making excuses. You are talking nonsense."

Ling Yang ignored Yan Weimin's accusation.

Judging from Yan Weimin and Ling Yang's expression and attitude, Zhu Hongcheng was sure that Yan Weimin was making trouble out of nothing. He was so disappointed at Yan Weimin and decided to cancel Yan Weimin's position as the head teacher in the next year.

"Mr. Zhu, may I say something?" Hu Yi opened his mouth.

"Mr. Hu, please go ahead." Zhu Hongcheng immediately answered.

Hu Yi held his head up and said. "First, I believe a student who dared to fight against the wanted men regardless of the danger to himself is an upright and noble person.

Second, Ling Yang's statement is well-founded. I've been served as a policeman for many years, and I'm sure Ling Yang was telling the truth. However, Mr. Yan is being ridiculous as he believed Ling Yang put the shit in the drawer because he was the last person to leave the classroom.

Even policemen have to investigate and obtain enough evidences to come to a conclusion. Why did you believe Ling Yang did that? Did you see it with your own eyes or did anyone see it?"
