Rise Of House Cason

Chapter 87 - Introductions

Art continued to train that week while attending classes regularly. Though he was omitted from end of year exams, he still wanted to take his NEWT exams this summer. He was planning on skipping his 7th year at Hogwarts and establish himself in the Wizard World.

In the middle of Charms, a first year interrupted the class.

"Professor Flitwick, Art is needed upstairs."

Flitwick nodded and dismissed Art.

Gathering his things, he left class and followed the first year to a small classroom where Fleur and Krum were already waiting with Bagman and a small blonde haired woman with ugly glasses.

Art ignored Bagman and walked up to Fleur who was avoiding his eyes with a light blush on her face.

"You avoiding me?" Art teased, kissing her forehead.

She shook her head but didn't say anything.

"Have you found a way to get past the dragon?" Art whispered.

"I'm thinking of a sleeping charm." she whispered.

"Good choice. Just be careful, okay?" Art said, slightly worried about her.

She harrumphed and glared at him. "I might not be a prodigy like you but I am a gifted witch."

Art was stunned but smiled and took her hands into his own, "I know. I just worry."

Soon Harry joined them and the blonde witch, Rita, grabbed him and took him away for an interview in a broom cupboard.

"She is trouble, writes nasty articles about people for the Daily Prophet." Art frowned, feeling worried for Harry.

A few minutes later Dumbledore showed up with someone Art recognized, Ollivander.

"Where is Harry?" Dumbledore asked Art who pointed at the broom cupboard.

A strange light flashed across Dumbledore's pale blue eyes as he walked over and pulled Harry out of the cupboard.

Dumbledore sat at the judges table with the other judges and introduced Ollivander.

"Mademoiselle Delacour, if you please?"

Fleur stepped forward and handed him her wand. Ollivander inspected the wand carefully and spun it through his fingers like a baton.

"Yes," he said quietly, "nine and half inches… inflexible rosewood… and containing…"

"Veela hair, my grandmothers." Fleur said with some pride.

Art smiled and looked down at the floor, 'Damn, everything thinks I am under a Veela's charm. Not wrong though…'

He noticed people giving him some glances causing him to shake his head.

"Mr. Krum." Ollivander extended his hand which Krum placed his wand in.

Ollivander inspected the wand carefully, his pale eyes examined the wand carefully.

"Gregorovitch's creation unless I am mistaken. Gifted wand-maker… his style though…" Ollivander trailed off. "Hornbeam and dragon heartstring. Avis!"

A loud boom echoed through the room and a pair of birds flew out of the window. Ollivander handed back Krum's wand and looked at Art with a small smile.

Art smiled and handed him his wand which sparked angrily being in Ollivander's hands.

"Temperamental as always. Redwood and dragon heartstrings, 13 inches and one of my best creations if I do say so." Ollivander muttered quietly, inspecting the wand.

Ollivander tried to cast a spell with it but the wand gave a loud bang and nothing happened. "Temperamental little thing…" Ollivander grumbled, handing the wand back.

Art took back his wand which hummed softly at his touch. Ollivander took longer to inspect Harry's wand which puzzled Art.

'Must be a story behind his wand.' Art mused, watching Dumbledore and Harry closely.

Dumbeldore was about to dismiss them for supper when Bagman spoke up.

"Pictures, Dumbledore!" he shouted, "How about it, Rita?"

Rita's eyes were focused on Harry but she glanced at Art a few times.

"How about some individuals as well?" she simply asked, adjusting her ugy glasses.

"How about no." Art shot the idea down instantly.

The Champions along with their Headmasters all crowded around, trying to take a group photo but Madame Maxime was too large to fit in the frame causing her to sit while the others stood.

After what seemed for a lifetime, Art left the room and headed down to the Great Hall to eat.

For the next few weeks Art kept a low profile, only seen at the Great Hall or the library. Due to the twins training Harry, Art and Cedric spent their time in the library studying and doing school work. Surprisingly, Krum also spent most of his time in the library, usually followed by a group of giggling girls wanting his autograph. Hermoine often joined Cedric and Art, asking questions which they answered patiently.

Art noticed that Krum looked at them more often when Hermoine sat with them.

"You know Hermoine… I think Victor Krum has a crush on you." Art said with a smirk.

Hermoine immediately blushed and hid her face, "He does not!"

"He keeps looking over here and it is not because of Art or I." Cedric chimed in, clearly enjoying her embarrassment.

"Go talk to him Hermoine." Art encouraged.

Hermoine couldn't take it anymore and gathered her books before leaving the library in a rush.

Cedric and Art sniggered and Ced even gave Krum a thumbs up which seemed to confuse him even more.

Art and Fleur also found it difficult to spend time together as Madame Maxime seemed to put her on house arrest to train. Artland fought the urge to hex the giant who was c.o.c.kblocking him.

They still were able to meet up a few times which Art took her on amazing dates including introducing her to the Merepeople.

Fleur told him that he was right about the dragons and that Madame Maxime told her that she saw them.

"So much for not cheating." Art scoffed, shaking his head.

"Like you can talk, you can tell what people are thinking." Fleur rolled her eyes.

Art raised her eyebrows at her and a devilish smile appeared on his face.

"True and I am surprised how such a proper lady like you has such dirty thoughts!" he said, pulling her into his c.h.e.s.t.

"You corrupted me." she said before pulling Art's face towards her.

Art didn't stop her and kissed her passionately, grabbing her waist and pulling her close. The two of them were oblivious to their surroundings and didn't notice Cedric and Cho approaching them.

"Get a room, christ." Cedric said with a scowl.

Cho was red, not looking at Art and Fleur.

Art and Fleur finally split and Fleur hid her face in Art's c.h.e.s.t while Art scowled at Cedric.

"Fleur, this is my friend, Cedric and his girlfriend Cho." Art introduced, still slightly annoyed.

"Bonjour." Fleur said, shaking their hands.

"You're really pretty." Cho said shyly.

"Thank you." Fleur said with a bright smile. She turned to Cedric and said, "Artland talks about you lots, I'm glad I can finally meet one of his friends."

"Art talks about you lots as well. I look forward to your wedding. Art already made me best man." Cedric said with a teasing smile, causing Fleur to blush.

"Like hell he did!" a pair of voices rang out.

The twins watched over and joined the group, giving Cedric a dirty look.

"No way you are best man Wolfy." Fred said with a glare.

"I think the fleas have got to your brain." George added.

Art shook his head, "Fleur, this is Fred and George Weasley, my friends that I told you about." he introduced.

Fleur looked at them and laughed before sticking out her hand, "The troublemakers? Art has told me some stories about you. P.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you."

The twins raised an eyebrow at Art but shook Fleur's hand.

"Well isn't this cute… we each brought a date and you two brought each other." Cedric said with a mocking voice.

This sparked another fight as Cedric and the twins started traded barbs. Cho and Fleur giggled into their hands while Art just shook his head.
