Rise Of The Trident

Victory! Victory!! The soldiers shouted. The Mad Titan Kronos is no more. The War is finally over. Thousands of gods assembled and praised the Great gods who won the war

"Praise to the gods. Praise to the sons of Kronos. Praise to those who helped us fight this massive battle. Praise to lord Zeus, the god of lightning. Praise to his brother Poseidon, the lord of the seven seas. Praise to their brother Hades."

The sky was erd as blood and lightning was striking continuously providing some thinderstorms. Suddenly there was silence as the three gods showed themselves in front of everyone. Zeus came in front and started giving a victory speech to his fellow gods and all the mortal warriors who accompanied the battle...

Zeus:

"My fellow warriors! My friends! I thank you all for accompanying me. I thank my brothers for standing with me in this great fight. This was an epic battle. If we failed, our world would've been doomed. But we won. It's all because of our team effort. And also I'd like to thank Odin and his sons.

Thor and of course... his brother Loki. And also all the Asgardians. This is a new beginning."

Poseidon:

"Of course. It is"

"What my brother told was true. Our father intended to destroy the whole universe. But he failed. Gods like us have powers. But what do the mortal humans have? Thousands of warriors have united for this battle. They believed in us. They gave their life. What do we owe them? Nothing. But I'd like to give something to someone who rallied the whole greek nations to the war. Now I call upon Aegon the king of Olympia."

Aegon makes his way near Poseidon

"Without him, I would've not survived. He had no powers. Yet he fought Kronos and saved my life. Before the war began only the Olympians volunteerly came forth and gave themselves for the battle while all others fled away. So I'd like to grant them something. Something I've been preserving for my son."

"A trident."

He turns to Aegon and holds his hands

"Aegon. Save it with your life. This trident is the future for Olympia. Keep it safe. As long as you have it no harm shall come to your nation. I will stand in front and remove all your obstacles, sorrow, pain, suffering and even all disasters. I'll fight your war. I'll fight your enemies. Victory will be yours and let death be the possession of those who grow enmity against you"

Poseidon gives the trident to Aegon's hand and everyone shouts

"LONG LIVE KING AEGON"

"LONG LIVE LORD POSEIDON"

Zeus proclaimed

Zeus:

"I will take and protect the sky and all other Gods"

Poseidon came forth and proclaimed himself as...

Poseidon:

"I am the god of the seas. Hence I'll take care of all the sea creatures and I'll be the protector and the lord of all the seven seas"

Hades made his way slowly and

Hades:

"I'll be...I'll be"

Every one started murmuring among themselves

Zeus isolated Hades and

Zeus:

"Brother! There is no way. You have to do it. We told you before. It is the only way"

Hades:

"Why me?"

"Why can't you do it"

Zeus:

"Look, brother. It is the goodness for Gaia. You knew it. You can take care of it."

Hades:

"Is it your plan or Aurora proposed it"

Zeus:

"WHAT!! Aurora!"

"She has nothing to do with this. It was my decision"

Poseidon makes his way towards them

Poseidon:

"Brothers, what are you doing here?"

"Looks like Hades has a second thought"

Zeus:

"Yeah! He does have a second thought"

Poseidon:

"Brother Hades. This is your only chance. If you don't do it we can't balance the world"

"Look you've got to do it"

"Take some time. Think about it"

After some moments Hades came forth towards the people and

Hades:

"I'm sorry for troubling you all. I just had a second thought. Now I'm okay. I will take care of hell and all the dark creatures that dwell in it. From today I will be called as GOD OF UNDERWORLD"

There was no praise and no sound because the underworld was considered a cursed place from the earlier times. Hades got angry and he disappeared into ashes by starring at everyone with anger.

Zeus:

"I'm sorry about my brother. Poseidon and I have decided something else too.

I know you've all have heard about the lost city of Atlantis. It will be the residence of my brother Poseidon and I will dwell at Mount Olympus. I will make a small council and do all other changes in the future."

Poseidon:

"The era of Kronos is over. Now it's our time. We promise you that no harm shall come to the people of Gaia"

[Earth is referred to as 'Gaia' in Greece]

Zeus:

"Bring me that titan...ATLAS"

The soldiers brought the giant atlas and tied him in a broken pillar.

Zeus:

" 'ATLAS' I'm giving you a chance. Accept us as your god. Kronos is no more. Bow down or you'll be taken to Tartarus where Kronos is rotting"

Atlas:

"Then take me there! Let me suffer with my lord. Kronos is my lord. He is my god and my king. Also, I heard my brother is also there"

Poseidon:

"Yes, he is. And also many titans are imprisoned there. I guess it might be a perfect place for you"

Zeus:

"No!"

"I have changed my mind."

Posiedon:

"Brother! What're going to do?"

Zeus:

"I am doing what's good for Gaia"

"Atlas! We gave you a chance. You refused it. I won't sentence you to Tartarus. You rallied the titans here to destroy our planet. So from now on, you will bear this planet and the heavens on your shoulders from this day to eternity."

Suddenly Atlas hands were chained and he was teleported to the western edge of Gaia to carry the whole planet on his shoulders. He was named...

Atlas: The Titan God Of Endurance

Atlas:(Shouting)

"YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS ZEUS!!"

OLYMPIA

Aegon returns to his homeland 'Olympia' with his fellow soldiers after the victorious battle. A huge ark is carried on their way which holds the precious trident of Poseidon. The whole crew makes their way to the castle.

The Queen comes towards the king

Agatha:

"Moon of my moons! My king! I'm glad and happy to see to return. When you went for the war I never had the belief that you'll survive this battle. I stopped you but you didn't hear me. That doesn't matter. What matters is (holding Aegon's hands) you're back home."

Aegon:

"Who can take me away from you my darling! I'm yours and you are mine. No power on earth can tear us apart"

Turning back to the crowd in front of him

"My people this victory is because of you all. This is because of your prayers and blessings. I'd like to share something with you all. As a token of gratitude for the war, we got something in return. Kronos is now gone. Zeus became the god of lightning and Poseidon became the god of the seas. He gave his trident to me and told me that until the trident rests in Olympia we will be in his protection. He promised this to me. I want you all to build a great temple for him and a great statue where we can keep the trident. This work will commence from tomorrow morning"

People started praising and Aegon leaves that place.

Inside the palace: (Aegon's room)

Aegon:

"My love! How did you handle all the things when I'm not here?"

Agatha:

"I didn't. It was your son."

Aegon:

"I just forgot! Where is he"

Agatha:

"Probably in his room. And he is angry with you. That's why he didn't come to receive you"

Aegon:

"What did I do?"

Agatha:

"I guess you should ask it to him"

Aegon:

"Okay!"

Prince Solon's chamber

Aegon makes his way towards his son Solon's chamber. As he enters he saw his son sitting on the chair, wearing a red robe, looking at the king's crown, filled with tears in his eyes.

Aegon steps inside the room

Aegon:

"Son!!"

As there was no reply Aegon comes near him

Aegon:

"Mother told you are angry with me."

Solon:

Aegon:

" Hey! What happened?"

"Why are you angry with me"

"Tell me something!"

Solon:

"You know it!"

"You knew everything"

Aegon:

" What are you telling?"

" I don't know why"

(holding Solon's hand)"Tell me, son! What's your father's mistake"

Solon:

"Am I the rightful heir?"

Aegon:

"You are. You're my son!!"

Solon:

"When you went for the war I asked you to accompany me. But you never let me. When I came against your restrictions you ordered you put me in the cell. I was released because of mom. After coming out I prepared to come to the war. But mom consolidated me. So I took care of the nation for her sake"

Aegon:

"Son. The war we went to is not the warlike you saw. We fought against Immortal gods and deadliest creatures. It was not a war for glory. It was for the living, for the future. In fact, I was in the leap to death. Atlas took me in his hand. I was unable to breathe. He told me that we are going to lose. But Aurora came at the right time and saved me."

"It was her. It was always her. Without her, the war we fought would've gone vain."

Solon:

"Aurora! Aurora!! Aurora!!!"

"Why do all praise her."

"What she did for her own good. Not for the world sake"

Aegon:

"Solon!"

"You are the prince. You'd be king someday."

"The sun rises every day. But one day it will set down and when it rises there will be a new king"

"You!"

"You will be the new dawn."

"That's all I can say."

And Aegon goes out of the room filled with pain.

In the balcony

Aegon then walks around the balcony. An architect comes towards him

Architect:

"My King!"

"The Queen told me that you summoned me"

Aegon:

"Yeah!"

"We need to build a temple. A temple for Poseidon. I have a thought. Come to my chamber we'll discuss this."

On the way...

Aegon:

"The temple you'd build must look so majestic. It must be on the sea area."

Architect:

"Don't worry my king. I'll take care of everything."

They both reach Aegon's Chamber

Aegon's chamber

Aegon takes the architect to a small room in his chamber. In that room, there is a long bench where he has the blueprint of the temple. The blueprint carries the magnificent outline of the temple. There was a huge statue of Poseidon in front of the temple. Looking at this..

Architect:

"My king! It looks great. It might take several years to build it. It may nee.."

Aegon:

"Take as much as workers you need. Tell me how much workers do you need."

"I'll give you just 10 years."

Architect:

"We might need at least 90 lakh workers if we want to build it in 10 years."

Aegon:

"We start it tomorrow."

"How much worker's do we have now"

Architect:

"48,000 workers at present"

"How are you going to convert it to 90 lakh"

Aegon:

"Soon enough"

Next day morning (Aegon's chamber)

BEDROOM

Aegon wakes up and looks at his wife Agatha sleeping near him. He looks at her as he sees her for the first time. The whole world looked froze for him as the Queen opens he eyes

Agatha:

"Good Morning my love!"

Aegon:

"You look beautiful today"

Agatha:

"Well I'm surprised!"

"It's what you tell every day"

Aegon:

"I meant you look more beautiful like the day I saw you at our wedding."

Agatha:

"So you mean I was beautiful only in our marriage"

Aegon:

"No! no! no!!"

"I remembered our marriage day when I saw you now."

"Hey don't get mad. You are beautiful...now and always"

(kissing) "My Queen"

Agatha:

"Do you remember everything happened on our marriage"

Aegon:

"How will I forget that. It was the day meant for me..for us."

"The time I was at the altar waiting for you for an hour...I still remember those moments"

"I heard the sound of the horns for some time. Everyone was waiting for the bride and so am I"

"Then they announced that my Queen is coming. My legs froze as I can feel I'm standing. Everyone became silent as you stood inside the palace. My heart started beating faster. My father came me and told me that I'm lucky to have you"

"You were very beautiful on that day. Your lips were red as rose, your face was bright as snow,your.."

Agatha:

"Enough of your praises my king! So you froze when you saw me at our wedding"

Aegon:

"Yes"

Someone knocks the door

Aegon goes out and a Basil was standing outside. Basil is the revenue advisor of Aegon.

Basil:

My king!

If you permit shall we discuss something

Aegon:

I'll come.

Meet me in the courtroom.

Basil:

Sure! My king.

Aegon puts on his clothes and goes to the courtroom to meet Basil. Both of them discuss the loss of income of Olympia because of the War.

Basil:

What do we do my King?

Aegon:

We have to do something.

Basil:

Shall we increase the taxes?

Aegon:

No!

Not now.

We can't do anything at present.

All we can do is wait...

SPARTA

Sparta, the most powerful race in the Greek empire. It is said that a spartan warrior equals 100 elephants, 50 horses, and 30 Greek soldiers.

At present Sparta is ruled by King Agapios

He is a man who loves his nation more than anyone. Sparta is now doomed. Because of the war, Sparta has faced a heavy loss in the whole of Greece. People started migrating to other nations.

So Agapios planned to take a drastic step that led to a Great War.

TO SEIZE THE TRIDENT...
