Rise Of The Trident

Chapter 3 - The Provision

OLYMPIA

THE NEXT MORNING...

A raven comes to Olympia. Barak recieves the scroll and takes it to Aegon.

Aegon was in the bed with his wife. Barak knocks the door and Aegon opens the door.

Aegon:

What's the matter Barak?

Barak:

The Spartans have crossed the Ionian Sea.

Aegon:

Get the troops ready!

Agatha:

What happened?

Aegon:

The Spartans will be here tonight.

IONIAN SEA

Agapios:

Son! We have to part here.

It's just 18 kilometers from here.

Heren:

Why have you changed the plan dad.

Agapios:

We want the trident. Not Olympia!

Heren:

So what do you want me to do?

Agapios:

Go around the city and reach the Trident. Aegon will have an army there.

Strike them and take it. We don't have time and we have to end the war soon.

Heren:

What if I didn't come back?

Agapios:

You will come back. We Spartans won't fall so easily.

We are born to rule.

You are born to rule.

You are our future, my son! You will come back.

Heren:

How are you so sure?

Agapiuos:

Because I know you.

You won't die today.

Heren:

And I'll win your war dad.

You'll have the Trident today.

[Heren departs with his sh.i.p.s.]

Cornelius:

He is a warrior my king. Have faith.

Agapios:

I do have faith in him. It is his first war.

Let the Gods be with him.

And Now! We hit Olympia.

OLYMPIA

Agatha:

My king! Solon's missing!!

Aegon:

What!

He might've gone somewhere

Agatha:

Somewhere!

He's definitely in trouble. Don't let my dream come true.

Aegon:

Don't worry. I'll send Barak to for him.

(hugging her) Nothing will happen to him.

I promise (and kisses).

THE ROYAL COUNCIL

[Along with the advisers Aegon attends the Royal council]

Aegon:

My subjects!

We have to plan the attack. They'll reach here at dawn and they're coming for the Trident.

And I'm introducing our new lord commander Hemen to everyone.

Hemen, I need you to place 5,000 soldiers in front of the temple. You will charge them and I'll take the shore.

Hemen:

But my king! you need me on your side.

Aegon:

The Trident is much more important than me. Olympia needs it to prosper.

I believe you. Don't let them take that.

Hemen:

No! Forgive me my king.

I'll take the shore. You must take care of the Trident. Poseidon gave it to you.

Only you can save it.

Aegon:

You're right. I take the shore.

And how many soldiers do we have now?

Hemen:

20,000 My king!

Aegon:

What!

Hemen:

We lost the remaining 30,000 soldiers in the great war.

Basil:

How many Spartans are coming?

Hemen:

From the information from Sophon, we're gonna face 50,000 spartans.

Aegon:

Basil! You're my most trusted advisor. Tell me!

What can we do?

Basil:

50,000 versus 20,000....Impossible.

Hemen:

So yo mean we're gonna lose.

Basil:

Yes! If we fight them with rage, we'll definitely lose.

It's time to move smart.

Barak:

What about using the Trident's power to stop them.

Aegon:

No!

Not the Trident. We have to safeguard it and also I don't know how to use it.

Barak:

Just give a try.

Aegon:

I'm sorry Barak.

I'm not it's master and I can't use it.

We have to win this war without the Trident.

[Looking at all his subjects]

This is just the beginning. There are more wars to come. More eradications.

But we'll stand.

My Warriors! Get ready for the First war for the Trident!

AGATHA'S ROOM

[Agatha remain peaceless because of the disappearence of her son. She commands her servant to call Barak to her room.]

[Barak enters]

Barak:

My Queen!

Agatha:

Got any news?

Barak:

Nothing.

Agatha:

Where is he....

What if... what if he's with the spartans.

I mean as... a captive?

Barak:

He's not there too my Queen.

Agatha:

How are you so sure?

Barak:

My little birds are everywhere my Queen.

Agatha:

Then press harder!

Find him before it's too late.

Barak:

I will,

My Queen.

[Barak leaves..]

Agatha:

[looking out through the window]

"Come home soon! My child"

[and tears started flowing of her eyes]

STREETS OF OLYMPIA

[Barak makes his way towards the streets wearing a loose attire and a hid his face of a hood. He passes the market and reaches a old broken house. He moves in and closes the door. He turned back and saw six boys staring at him]

Barak:

Is anything new.

Boy 01:

The Spartans have crossed the Ionian sea.

Barak:

Yeah! I know that.

Boy 02:

A witch has been murdered in Elder street.

Boy 03:

And Rhae died.

Barak:

What! When!

How!!

Boy 03:

A.S.SASINS!

Barak:

What?

No way.

Boy 05:

It's true. We've escaped from them.

Barak:

Well. How many?

Boy 04:

640

Boy 05:

And still increasing.

Barak:

So we have another issue.

I'll speak with th king.

Got any clue with the prince's case.

Boy 06:

I do!

Barak:

Tell me.

Boy 06:

We found something.

Barak:

What?

Boy 06:

The Ring of the Prince.

[gives to Barak]

Barak:

Where did you find it?

Boy 06:

To the road of....the Dark Forest.

Barak:

What were you guys doing there?

Boy 03:

Just playing.

Barak:

Notify me if you find something...interesting!

[The Boys leaves the place.]

Barak:

(murmurs)

"The Dark Forest"

[And makes his way to the forest]

IONIAN SEA

(Heren's fleet)

Heren:

My father has given me duty. A paramount duty.

They'll hit the shore. We'll hit the temple and surround the city.

Soldier:

My prince. What if Aegon get's to know our plan.

Heren:

He won't.

Not anymore.

Bring me that bastard!

[The soldiers bring out Sophon in front of Heren.]

Heren:

Thought you won't get caught.

So tell me. What did you tell to Aegon?

Sophon:

I'm not afraid of you!!

Heren:

Well. That's not a valid answer.

Soldier! Take of his right hand.

[The Soldier grabs a sharp sword and chops his right hand in a single swing. Sophon cries out of pain.]

Heren:

Now tell me.

What did you say?

Sophon:

F.u.c.k you!

Heren:

Take of his other arm!

[The Soldier tries to cut out his arm]

Sophon:

Wait!

I'll tell!!

I'll tell!!

Heren:

Tell me then.

What did you wrote?

Sophon:

Our plan to attack the temple.

Heren:

Good.

Correct Answer!

Sophon:

What!

Heren:

Aegon didn't get the message my dear!

I got it!

That;s how I found you.

Traitor!!

[And shows Sophon the letter]

[Then he takes a knife in his hand...]

Heren:

You thought you were smart.

But you're not

[and sliced his neck]

Ah! The first sacrifice

HA! HA!! HA!!!

THE ROAD TO THE DARK FOREST

[Barak travels through the road that leads to the dark forest. After sometime the road disappears and the path is covered with trees and bushes. Barak takes out his sword and cuts down the bushes and move in. He makes his way in slaughtering the bushes that blocks the way. Suddenly he feels something moving. Hearing the sound Barak crouches and moves in low profile. He feels a sturdy sound near the bushes over his right. He goes slowly and finds a white horse eating the plants.]

Barak:

I need to tell it to Aegon

THE PALACE

[The preparations for the war was progressing on the shore. Aegon looks the shore from his palace and thinks of his son and the occurence of the war]

[Meanwhile Agatha comes near him and holds his hands..]

Aegon:

Any news of Solon?

Agatha:

No.

Aegon:

Spartans will be here at dawn.

I just want Solon to be with me in this war.

Agatha:

Did you get any news from them?

Aegon:

No.

Agatha:

Barak found something.

Aegon:

What?

Agatha:

Solon's ring.

[Gives to Aegon]

Aegon:

Where was it?

Agatha:

The Dark Forest.

Aegon:

Why does he want to go there?

Agatha:

I don't know.

Aegon:

What if it's someone else?

[Barak enters..]

Barak:

It's his.

Agatha:

Barak!

Aegon:

How are you so sure?

Barak:

Because I found his horse on the forest.

He's definitely in the forest.

[Hemen comes in...]

Hemen:

My King! My Queen!

The preparations are about to end.

And are you sure about the negotiations.

Aegon:

If we have a chance to stop the war, then we must take it.

Hemen:

So, what do you want me to do?

[The horn started blowing...]

Agatha:

They're here.

Aegon:

(whispers) SPARTANS!

HEMEN! GET THE TROOPS READY!

GIVE THEM A CHANCE!

IF THEY ACCEPT DONT ATTACK or else TAKE THE SHOT!

Barak! Call your brother and come to the Temple.

[Turning back to Agatha.]

Don't worry my love!

I'll come back to you.

[and kisses pationately]

Agatha:

Don't leave me alone!

Aegon:

I won't!

I promise.

[Aegon puts on his armour and make his way out while the Spartan army rows to the shore with full force.]

[Aegon hops over his horse and rides to the temple along with Basil and Barak.]

Agatha:

[Looking at Aegon departing..]

Oh Gods! Don't let my dream come true.

[The Spartan army comes more swiftly. The army gathers and the gates are closed. Hemen climbs above the wall and the archers assembles at the top.]

Hemen:

Don't shoot until I command.

Let the f.u.c.kers come....

Agapios:
