Chapter 9 - Coronation

SEASHORE OF OLYMPIA:

[It was dawn. Leo walked along the shore to meet his friend Bemus with whom he traveled to Olympia.]

[Bemus is a boy around 24 of age. He has a rugged face and curly hair. His father owns a ship and a captain too. So he arranged a small ship to come to Olympia for his friend Leo]

[Bemus was sitting down in the dry sand admiring nature. Leo sat near him and...]

Bemus:

How was yesterday?

Did you speak to her?

Leo:

Yeah!

And asked her to marry me.

Bemus:

What did she tell?

Leo:

She said yes (with enormous happiness)

Bemus:

Then what happened?

Leo:

She told me that she loves me the most and what, she kissed me.

Bemus:

Just kiss or something else happened?

Leo:

Then what?

She made me a new man.

Bemus:

I guess you both had s.e.x?

Leo:

Yep!

Bemus:

Really!

Leo:

If you don't believe me, ask her then?

Bemus:

So finally, my friend slept with a girl.

Leo:

Bemus:

Bemus:

CORONATION OF EGAN:

[The whole city has gathered in front of the palace to witness the crowning of their new king. Rulers from various nations were invited and the kings were given respect and were welcomed grandly.]

[Egan was with his Mom looking at the eagerness of the people...]

Egan:

Do you really think I'm worthy to be their king?

Elekra:

Why do you doubt it?

You're gonna be the best king in the history of Olympia. (coughs....)

Egan:

(gives a glass of water to his mom)

How are you so sure?

Elekra:

Because I know you more than anyone.

And I also knew that you love Delia.

Egan:

Wha...no Mom!

I don't have any feelings for her.

Elekra:

Look into my eyes and say that?

(Egan sits silent)

(coughs..) You can lie but your eyes won't.

I saw it in your eyes.

Egan:

How do you know?

Elekra:

I'm your Mom and I like Delia a lot too.

Egan:

What if she doesn't like me?

Elekra:

She will.

Love is not meant to live together.

It is meant to live for one another.

Even it is to sacrifice your love for her happiness.

If she is born for you, a will come for her to come to you.

Egan:

Elekra:

(Someone knocks the door...)

[Egan opens the door and...]

Egan:

Speak of the angel!

Delia:

My Queen, the people are waiting for their new king!

[ Then Delia takes Egan out and showed him to the people of Olympia]

Delia:

ALONG WITH THE WITNESS OF ALL, I GIVE YOU KING EGAN, THE NEW KING OF OLYMPIA!

[Everyone praises

'LONG LIVE...KING EGAN.....

LONG MAY HE LIVE!!!' ]

[Then all the kings and the people made their way to the temple of the Trident. According to the customs of Olympia, a Coronation ceremony will happen in that temple]

TEMPLE OF THE TRIDENT

[Egan ascends to the big stage constructed for coronation. He takes the trident in his hand which was kept in a table winded with a silk cloth. The Trident began to glow brightly and his body began to shine...]

Egan:

I, Egan

Son of King Orien

Promises to the people of Olympia

In my rule Olympians will flourish with happiness and joy. There will be no place for suffering and sadness.

I will rule in the way there will be no more war, no more bloodshed, and no more losses.

I will rule in a way that there will be no scarcity, no more starving of food and no more illiterates.

And I will rule in a way no harm shall come over Olympia and I'll protect this Trident with all my might and with the grace of the gods.

And I'll make my father proud and so my people!

I promise!

Delia:

OLYMPIANS! (in loud voice)

WILL YOU ACCEPT PRINCE EGAN AS YOUR KING?

[At the very moment the people began to sing praises of Egan and accepted him as their King]

[As the people praises King Cicero crowns Egan as the new King]

[Egan became so happy and joy-filled his heart. He turned towards Delia and saw her smiling at him. With a smile, he uttered 'thank you' to her. Then he looked at the people an move towards the royal chair in the temple and sat there to get blessings from the gods. It became a celebration season in Olympia.]

SPARTA

[Another peaceful dynasty in Greece was the Spartan Dynasty. It became the second most powerful race in Greece.]

[Icarus, the present king of Sparta and his wife Elene prepares their son Eugene to pass the ultimate test of his life to prove himself a spartan. In the Spartan tradition, if a Spartan boy has to become a warrior he has to perform the ultimate task. It was a task of life or death. The boy should go into the wilderness and live around 5 years there. If he returns from all the toils he faces, the Spartan community will accept him a warrior. It is the same for a normal warrior and also for a prince. Now it is time for the Spartan prince Eugene to have his test.]

Elene:

Are you ready?

Eugene:

I am ready, Mom.

Elene:

Promise me you'll come back home.

Eugene:

I will.

[Elene hugs her son and weeps. Then Icarus came near him and...]

Icarus:

Son,

We Spartans worth the most powerful nation in Greece. A spartan warrior has the ability to fight five mammoths at a single time. I want you to be that kind of Spartan. Throw away all the difficulties you face and move forward. If you get a challenge do not run away. Face it and break it. Win this test and return. Prove you are worth to be a Spartan.

Eugene:

I will, Dad.

I'm gonna make you proud.

[Eugene takes his spear and moves forward into the wilderness. Icarus and Elene waves his son.]

Elene:

He has just crossed 18.

Icarus:
