[ November 8, 2019; Friday; 1:56 P.M. ]

The clock, striking at 1:56 P.M; her tightly-glued lids finally separate from each other, making way for her golden irises to be seen. Her amber-colored hair, despite looking slightly messy, still manages to appear smoothly flowing down her shoulders as she tries to sit herself up on the bed. Groaning. A hand rests on her head; her pretty image a bit ruined with the scowl planted on her face.

She tries to ease the pain by rubbing her temples, but the mind-breaking headache just seems to intensify. It has been a long time since she had felt this; and from experiencing this again, she recalls that this is one of the main reasons why she chose to avoid having a drink of alcohol. She can only groan and cope with the pain as a repercussion for her impulsive decision. But swore that she didn't drink that much last night; ugh, why in the world is she bad with alcohol?!

Her eyes slightly blurry, but she can already see that she's back at the unit. While she's surprised to see herself here, her headache prevents her from delving too much into thinking. While she doesn't remember anything from last night, she's certain that it's not Alessio who personally fetched her here anyways; it's more likely the staff that carried her here.

As she tries to get off her bed, she almost trips. She then gives a quick look at the time on her phone; but while she does so, her body instantly stiffens at a realization. She immediately turns her attention to the balcony area, expecting her fiancée to witness her in such a terrible state as he drinks his coffee. Once she sees no one though, she instinctively calms down. For a moment, she wonders where that bastard's at, but then she decides to abandon those thoughts as she heads to the bathroom instead. Her headache might possibly just worsen if she continues to trouble herself with thoughts of him

So with a sigh, she steps foot inside the restroom and begins refreshing herself. Turning on the faucet. she pours it into her hands before splashing the water over and over again on her face. Right after that, she takes her time brushing her teeth and takes some minty mouthwash, While she feels more refreshed now than earlier, she still feels unwell. Well, what did she expect from a hangover? But at least it's not as worse as she suffered from before; she can only be grateful that she's not puking right now.

But as she leaves the restroom to head to the kitchen counter to take some water for her to drink, she stops in her tracks to see Alessio. The sight shocks her as she momentarily forgets to open the fridge before her as she observes the young man cleans the already pristine table in a rather clumsy manner. Wiping the table with a cloth, he just looks so serious about it. She would have laughed, but she's just so taken aback with his presence over here. As she continues to observe him, she takes note of the bowl of soup, glass of water, and some aspirin pills on the table.

Ember blinks her eyes. At that same moment, Alessio lifts up the glass of water to wipe the spot for the nth time. But his hand freezes mid-air as his attention accidentally drifts towards the lady before him. He stares at her, surprised, before slowly composing a few seconds later. "I see.. that you're awake," he quietly says as he hides the cloth behind him, acting like he hasn't been caught just now.

Ember just eyes him before finally moving to get a glass for herself. But before she can fill her glass with some water, Alessio moves towards her. That glass that he was holding is offered to her. "Here. I have your medicine prepared; but you should eat first before taking your medicine." She raises a brow as she takes the glass. Staring down at it for a moment, she suddenly scoffs and chooses to ignore his offer. She proceeds to fill the glass she was holding with water and gulp it down her dry throat.

Alessio can't help but sigh at her action. But he doesn't let that affect him as he moves closer to his seat on the table, calmly setting the glass down. At first he thought that she'll follow him too; but Ember instead begins to leave the room. He is quick to touch her arm though, stopping her before she continues.

"Ember," he deeply says as he stares her down; she narrows her eyes at him and is just about to retort, but her head starts to pound at that exact moment. She automatically winces, closing her gold eyes and almost stumbling in the process. He maintains his grip on her though, making sure that nothing terrible happens to her.

"Look. I'm not here to start a fight. I just want you to eat and drink your medicine." He sighs. "I know your head is hurting right now, so it would be really best for you if you just listen. This is for your own good after all."

Ember is still a bit reluctant to follow his advice, even daring to glare at him for troubling her. But when her head begins to hurt again, she finally succ.u.mbs to it with a scoff. She harshly takes her hand back, bitterly taking the seat on the table. Seeing that his fiancée finally listened to him, Alessio is a bit relieved. He trails after her, taking a seat after. Right after, he slides the pills and glass to her before raising his coffee to his lips, sipping it. When Ember doesn't seem to move in her place, he lowers his cup.

"Ember…" he calmly calls out to her, raising his eyebrow. The poised manner he is holding his porcelain cup is a hundred times more elegant than the clumsy stance he was caught in earlier while fixing the table, but the lady is not a bit impressed. Ember hated pity above all else; and right now she has the perception that the man before him doesn't care one bit and is only pitying her right now. It leaves a bitter taste in her mouth as she expresses her disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e on her facial features.

"I could have handled this myself," she grumbles, "I should have just called for room service," she says once more as she shakes her head to herself, feeling like an idiot for even listening to him. She squeezes her eyes for a moment as she feels the familiar pain in her head again; Alessio sighs at her words.

"Don't be stubborn, Ember. The soup I have there was ordered, so why bother ordering again? Eat already before it gets cold," he says then takes another sip in his coffee, drinking the remains in his cup. There is silence in the room as the amber haired beauty continues to glare at him, not even touching the bowl before her, which makes him slightly disappointed.

As time goes on, Alessio eventually grasps that staying here with her won't help the situation any better, so he eventually settles on a decision. "If it makes it more comfortable for you, I'll leave." Alessio stands up from his chair as he looks down at her with his serious jade eyes. Ember coldly looks up at him with her arms crossed.

"That… would be better," she huffs out as she finally tears her gaze from his and settles it on the hangover soup before her. Sighing, Alessio proceeds to leave the room like she wanted, knowing that presence isn't welcomed. A few feet away from the table, Alessio thought he heard a whisper from her. It was so quiet that it was amazing that he was able to catch it or maybe it was just his imaginations.

"... thank you..."

He stops for a brief moment as he looks over his shoulder to peek a glance of her, who is just currently twirling her spoon in the soupy substance like she hasn't said anything earlier. He blinks his eyes before proceeding to leave the dining area again as if nothing has been heard.

When his footsteps finally cease out, Ember gives out a groan. Okay, while she's a bit grateful for his actions; but that doesn't mean that she needed it and his pity since it was all his faults in the beginning. Instead, he should reserve that for his f.u.c.k.i.n.g whore. As she starts to get frustrated, her headache starts again as she immediately holds her head.

Narrowing her gold eyes as she stares at the soup before her, she is a bit reluctant to take it; but the ache is becoming too painful to bear, so in the end, she scoops a spoonful of it and shoves it into her mouth. In an instant, her brows scrunch together as if confused by everything.

The soup… tasted horrible?

[ 7:48 P.M. ]

It hasn't been four hours since Ember left their unit; Alessio is left behind in the midst of frustration. Sitting on the black leather couch, he mindlessly sets the doc.u.ments beside him as he pinches the bridge of his nose in an effort to release the negative feeling that was being suppressed since earlier. From reading business-related proposals all day, migraine seems to finally catch up to him. And to make it worse, his fiancée is likely starting another trouble.

Exhausted from everything, he slams his back against the couch as he faces the ceiling above. He closes his jade eyes as he reminisces Ember closing the door behind her as she sneaked away without a care. Like she hadn't been experiencing a hangover earlier. Alessio would have stopped her, but he wasn't given a chance to say something. So occupied with his paperworks, the moment he noticed his fiancée was when the door closed already.

What she is even up to— that he doesn't know; but one thing is for sure that he couldn't completely concentrate with his work. While he tries to focus his attention on the doc.u.ments, the words barely process into his mind as he isn't really deeply invested with reviewing. His brows furrow as he unintentionally thinks about the lady who has been giving him worries these past few days.

It's annoying how that girl was having a hangover just a moment ago; and now she's out there enjoying herself again. Alessio tightens his grip on the paper, slightly crumpling it in the process. She definitely is a reckless woman. Sighing all over again, he forces himself to read through the doc.u.ments in hand once more as he tries to brush off his thoughts of her.

[ 10:35 P.M. ]

A few hours went by; and by the time Alessio is finished with reading all the doc.u.ments in his hands, it is already dark outside. Perceiving the time, he cannot help but shake his head as he stands up. His mind just can't help but wander over to his fiancée, who might just be currently irresponsibly spending her time again outside. I mean, why else would she even be outside this late.

Anyways, thoughts for later; he should just bring her back here just like yesterday; Alessio would not like the Aurius incident to happen again. Walking towards his coat, he takes his keys and phone with him, intending to head out for Ember's sake.

He hastily strides towards the door; but just as he's about to place his hand on the knob, the door suddenly starts to open, revealing the person who is responsible for his plans of departure right now. He is taken aback ny her presence as she is to him. Alessio takes note of the fact that she looks a bit pale and tired right now, which makes him place a hand on his head.

Observing her for a few more seconds, he finally can't stay silent with her behavior. "You feel sick and yet had the energy to go out?" he asks quite provokingly as he himself is starting to get a bit vexed.

Ember mainly rolls her eyes at him as she pushes him aside to make way for her. "Since you said that yourself, then you should know otherwise that you're not supposed to argue with a sick person," she retorts back as she enters through— a plain back paper bag in hand. Alessio eyes the bag for a second before focusing his attention on closing the door.

While Ember then proceeds to the restroom with a not-so-happy expression, he plops himself on the couch for a moment of peace. He stares at the ceiling above him, just like he has done earlier, before eventually drowning himself deep in his own thoughts.
