Rising To Grand Garden

"Another ceiling again...." Matt muttered.

Matt looked around the room. First, he looked at the right side and then the left, but he couldn't see through the curtains, so he turned his eyes to the ceiling again and remained lying.

"Where am I? Dead, I'm sure not..." Matt said.

"Can you shut up?" said a very familiar voice.

"Ok, now the time has come... I'm going crazy. I already hear myself yelling to myself." Matt said, startled.

"What!!! Are you stupid or something? I'll come right over and I'll hit you! Maybe that will help you." Screamed the voice.

"Shut up! I'm not crazy." Matt says timidly.

"Now it's enough..." says the voice.

Matt heard two feet step on the floor, the footsteps came up to him, he got up in his bed and looked to the right against the curtains. A shadow came closer and closer. He felt relief, realizing he wasn't crazy. Yet he asked himself who that is, someone with the same voice as him? The curtain was torn vigorously to the side. The two looked at each other seductively. Both felt like they were looking into a mirror.

"Why do you look like me?" The two asked at the same time.

At the same time as the question was asked, the door of the room opened. A lanky man entered the room.

"You've already introduced to each other..." The lanky man said.

"Not really …. Who are you? "Matt asked.

"Kalis... the guy is as motivated as my annoying teacher." Kalis said.

"The way he looks, he could be the other me. Then he should not have any memories or do he have the same as me. Furthermore, why do I still exist? Strange..." Matt thought amazed.

Matt sat thoughtfully in his sickbed.

"Matt, you seem to be smarter than you look. Call me Doctor." said Doctor.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Matt asked.

"I see you understand who Kalis is. Right?" Asked Doctor.

"Clear! As if I suddenly get a twin brother." Matt answered.

"But you are like twins. You look the same, except for the hair and eye color." Doctor said.

"You're pretending I'm not there." Kalis interrupted.

"Yes, but why am I still there?" Matt asked.

"I probably made a mistake in the ritual.... But it's a good mistake. I've improved the ritual, even though I didn't want to." Doctor said, laughing madly.

"Yeah ... how you take it, thanks." Matt said.

"Don't worry, there is no chance that you will eventually disappear. I've already tested that." Said Doctor.

Kalis sat back on his bed and murmured depressed to himself. Matt looked at him for a moment, confused, and continued the conversation.

"That's reassuring... When did you have the time? Matt asked.

"I had enough time to investigate you. After all, you were sleeping for 2 weeks." Doctor answered.

"What!!! So long? What about Roy and Alexis?" Matt asked horrified.

"Alexis, Roy and your parents are waiting for you to wake up. Of course, I made sure that no one bothers you in recovery. So no one knows about you divided into two." Answered Doctor.

"Why do you call yourself Doctor?" Matt asked.

"I don't know my real name anymore. everyone has been calling me Doctor for years. You're pretty curious, I thought earlier you're worried about someone caring about you." Doctor answered.

"Yes, that too. Take me to them." Matt urged.

"Can you even stand or walk? Asked doctor.

"No idea. It'll work." Matt answered.

Matt climbed out of his bed and stood there. He realized that he is very shaky on his feet.

"I couldn't imagine it's going to be so hard to get up." He thought.

He took a step and lost his balance, but Matt could hang on a curtain so as not to fall. Matt realized that it was even harder than he thought. He clenched his teeth and motivated himself. He released the curtain.

"Sure it works?" Doctor asked.

"... Go. Being worried doesn't suit you." Matt replied.

"Um ... yeah good. Follow me!" Said Doctor demanding.

Doctor left the room Matt wavered behind and stopped in the doorway, realizing that Kalis wasn't following. Matt turned around.

"Kalis... come on they're waiting for us." Matt said in a loving tone.

"No I don't want to…. I'm not even real." Kalis replied sadly.

"What are you talking about? If you weren't real, who am I talking to and how do you feel about it? Come on! "Matt said.

"How can I get that? Everything I can remember doesn't feel right. If I remember something, then I feel nothing. It's like I just watched from someone's perspective." Kalis said tormented.

"You're right about that you watched from my sight..." Matt said and broke off shocked in the middle of the sentence.

"Yes, I saw everything ..." Kalis said.

"Really everything?" Matt asked shocked.

Doctor listened attentively to the conversation. He thought about how important this information is for the ritual.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want that and I didn't want to see some things." Kalis replied.

"No matter, it's already too late anyway. Come on now you baby you can cry later. Earlier you were still pretty cheeky." Matt sighed.

Kalis got up angrily and ran through the door as he passed Matt. Kalis patted his left shoulder with his left hand and thanked him for the encouraging words. Matt didn't understand what was encouraging about his words, actually he just wanted to provoke Kalis to turn him off. Matt finally left the room and staggered after Doctor and Kalis. Matt was amazed at how long and wide the hallway was.

The hallway was wide enough for 4-5 people to walk side by side. In the middle of the white-tiled hall floor, a black carpet ran from one end to the other. The walls are clad in oak.

Matt regained his balance after a few meters and was a bit more stable on his feet.

"Here's the way to the garden." Doctor said.

Kalis and Matt followed Doctor into the garden.

"What's that here?" Matt asked, surprised.

"As already said the garden." Answered doctor.

"No I don't mean that, but why are the grass and the leaves of the trees so different here?" Matt asked enthusiastically.

"That's right, you're in the underworld for the first time. Everything is different here than in Roots" replies Doctor.

"Roots?" Matt asked.

"Yes, Roots. That's how the main dimension is called." Doctor answered.
