Road To The Throne

Inside the massive cave system there was a circular lake. two hundred meters in circ.u.mference and beside it Ryo had snuggled up in a ball. If you looked at the scene at first nothing would seem to be out of the ordinary. If you however looked at Ryo through magic you can see a tornado swirling above his head in all different colors. The tornado had started out as just small strands of magic but quickly grew to the big ten meters tall tornado now swirling above Ryo's head.

Some might wonder why anybody would crawl up and sleep here so exposed to the caves predators. The fact is the Ryo is not sleeping. It is quite the opposite actually. His mind is hyper focused at the moment. The energy swirling around him is the universal energy and to answer why it is all around him is simple. Ryo has just learned this technique to absorb energy and he still finds it difficult to absorb everything into his body so a lot of it is just swirling around him.

Ryo asked the system after a long time walking around aimlessly on how to locate the big snake. Since he had no success he relied on the system to know what to do. It told Ryo that he should try and master energy use. This means utilizing the universal energy to use his magic or any other technique.

Universal energy is something Ryo had no knowledge of. The system explained in a simple matter that universal energy is together with the universal laws something that has always existed and will always do so. It is present on every world and all worlds absorb it and turn it into something useful. In this world they use universal energy to produce the magic that they use to fight with.

"I finally feel something that can be that dumb snake. I felt a big energy spike close to my location." Not far from his location he felt the spike in energy. It was a quick spike but Ryo managed to catch it.

"Dammit! I lost the energy again. I was so close to locate that bastard now." Ryo still had his eyes closed and focused on the direction of the energy. He was so focused that he didn't notice the small tremor in the ground that slowly got closer. Lucky for him someone else did.

[Host look out! Underneath!] The robotic voice rang out in his head and it jolted him awake from his concentration.

"OH SH*T!" Ryo got up from his curled ball like position and quickly dodged out of the way.

A few seconds later when Ryo had landed a bit away his previous position exploded and a big smoke screen spread to the surroundings.

Inside the smoke you could see a huge shadow rising from the ground. You could see it slither on the ground as it's body was constantly moving.

"What luck! I was getting tired of searching for ya big guy." Ryo spoke with arrogance in his voice. Even though from what he remembered he was never arrogant in his past life. He thought maybe this was the dragon gene influencing him in some ways.

"....." Silence was the only answer Ryo received from the other end.

Ryo bowed down slightly, getting ready to dodge in any direction should the enemy move to attack him. The smoke were slowly disappearing and the huge form previously hidden in the smoke was revealed completely.

*Hiiiisssssssssssssssss*

[Function available to unlock. Would host like to unlock the "Translate" function?] In the middle of this intense staring contest the system broke Ryo's focus and the snake as clever as it was, did not miss this.

The entire 25 meter long snake launched itself at Ryo when it noticed him losing focus for just a second. Ryo panicked and jumped to the side and continued zigzagging backwards to avoid the assault by the snake.

Ryo had just dodged the snake as it tried to bite Ryo. Whilst dodging it's head Ryo could not react in time and the snake successfully hit Ryo with it's tale. Ryo crashed into the cave walls and growled in pain. He opened his eyes in time to see the snake dashing towards him and opened it's mouth trying to bite down.

Ryo jumped to the side and let the snake crash into the cave wall where Ryo had just been lying. Watching the snake crash into the wall, Ryo took this chance to get some revenge. He rushed at the snake and did a small jump and whilst the snake was trying to get unstuck from the wall it felt unimaginably sharp teeth biting down on it's neck.

The snake screamed in pain and used it's tale to slap Ryo away form it's neck. Ryo landed a few meters away and didn't have time to think as the snake was angry and approached him with greater speed then before. Ryo was forced to return to his strategy of jumping and dodging.

Every jump and dodge that Ryo pulled of was not giving him any breathing room as the snake was just as fast as him, if not faster now that Ryo had angered it a lot. It followed him and it's teeth always missing Ryo just by a few centimeters. Ryo and the snake kept their dance going as they dashed around the lake. Ryo needed breathing room so he did the only thing his amateur brain could think of.

He jumped high up in the air and as he had still not developed his wings properly he could not take flight. He reached a height of 50 meters and surprised himself of his amazing leg strength. Ryo had not battled before so he was clueless on how to turn this fight around.

"dammit! what can i do here, really" As Ryo had reached his max height with his jump he now started to feel his body slowly drop.

*ROAR*

suddenly a mighty voice overpowered all his thoughts and filled his head with a mighty roar

*ROAR*

The voice kept roaring inside his head. It kept screaming for him to roar. He had never encountered this voice before but he could feel the voice containing rage and and hate. But the rage was not towards him, no. the rage and hate was directed towards the big snake moving about under Ryo, preparing to catch Ryo with it's massive mouth as he fell from the air.

"Guess it can't hurt to try." Ryo listened to his instincts and opened his mouth. Ryo couldn't explain it but when he opened his mouth he some how knew what to do because he started gathering energy inside his mouth. The energy swirled inside his mouth and became a little ball and when Ryo felt like his mouth was full to the point of spilling over he tried to push the energy out of his mouth.

Ryo positioned himself towards the snake as he was now falling at high speeds and finally the energy inside his mouths started to move and..

*ROOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR*

A roar so loud that parts of the cave wall broke, came out of Ryo's mouth. A roar so powerful that the snake underneath panicked and tried to escape but alas, it took less then one second for the energy beam to reach the snake and it was similar to a giant using it's massive hand to crush a tiny ant.

While Ryo was roaring everything and everyone in the cave froze on the spot. The roar was the only thing existing in that moment. The beam lit up the entire circular cave room, and the beam continued to make a hole so big that 8 Ryo's could fit inside of it. (56meters wide)

A massive dragon was lying inside a barrier and trying to find a comfortable position.

*ROOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR*

"ugh, what the hell!" Suddenly Veldora's entire body started to move on his own. Without being able to stop it his body bowed down and it refused to move until the powerful and mighty roar had ended.

"What the hell was that!" Veldora stared in the direction of the roar while trying to regain control of his body.

" WHAT IS GOING ON!?!" In another place on the surface a girl had been speeding along in the sky and suddenly fallen from the sky and likewise to Veldora, her body ignored her as it landed on the ground and for a few seconds continued to prostrate in the direction of the Jura forest.

All around the world at the exact the same time, certain "beings" suddenly lost control of their bodies and temporarily fell down on the ground and bowed in the direction of the Jura forest.
