Robot For A Boyfriend

As Emily walks out of her room, Splitter and another man dressed the same as him stand there in front of her, arms crossed. "Hey kid, what's up? Heard you put Trevor in the med bay." Splitter says with is gruff voice sounding like sandpaper rubbing against Emily's ears. "He'll be fine. The shock will wear off." Emily tries to brush past them, but the other solider pushes her back. "HE HAS EPILEPSY YOU LITTLE-" the solider yells before cutting himself off.

Emily stares at the men in horror. "I... I didn't know." Her rage slowly wearing off. The men tower above her, the new man seeming more upset than what Splitter is. "Listen, were gonna have to detain you. We can't let you roam free like this." Splitter sighs, holding out a pair of handcuffs. Just as Emily holds out her wrists, an explosion is heard throughout the base, knocking the soldiers and Emily to their feet.

Alarms blare as Kaine runs to Emily and scoops her up in his arms, Splitter and the other solider following them. They run in to the main hanger bay with the mechs and see the doors open and a battle between multiple soldiers fighting each other, Mr. Jameson leading them. Splitter and the other man run over to their mechs, uniquely painted to their own preference, and join in the fight.

Kaine puts Emily down, looking at her with a mix of emotions displayed on his screen, and runs off, grabbing a weapon from a dead soldier and joining the fight alongside his father. Emily sits back in horror, all of the training fleeing from her mind as she watches Kaine spray bullets into one person after another, Splitter and other mechs picking people up and squishing them in their hands.
