Ron Weasley: A Noble's Ascension

Chapter 39 - Ron's Warning

Heading to Flich's office, would normally take someone 10 to 15 minutes at most and that's for a new student. That of course was if the student didn't take any detours, which Ron took a lot of.

He went out of his way to offer his help to others and would stop every once in a while to perform Scourgify on the not so clean spots of the castle. At the end he reached Flich's office after a hour, effectively making it the end of the first class.

*Knock*

*Knock*

" Who is it!? Can't you see I'm busy!?"

Ron stopped knocking and stepped back from the door which was slammed wide open by the wretched old man.

" Good afternoon Mr. Flich, I found this Kitty in our classroom. I hope you can care for it while it's owner is found."

" Eh, a lost cat!? Who'd do such a nefarious act!? Let me see -"

" Ah, here you go Mr. Flich I have Charms class right now. Please take good care for the kitty, I feel sad thinking that "He" was abandoned."

The decrepit man, almost let out a smirk, before grunting and taking the cage from Ron.

As Ron left to Professor Flitwick's classroom, Flich went back inside his "Office" and opened the cage. The moment the cage was unlocked the black cat inside leaped into the air before it was wrapped in a green light.

*Vvm*

Now standing in the middle of Flich's "Office" was Professor McGonagall, Flich couldn't believe what he'd just witnessed. Before he could say anything, the old Witch glared at him, causing the man's legs to tremble.

" You'll never tell a soul about this, do you understand, Argus!?"

" Yes, YES!!!"

Not saying anything else she left with her head held up high, but her usual proud demeanor was gone.

"*Ronald Weasley! You! You! I don't know what to think! To perform such an advanced form of magic, yet using it to trap your teacher! But... Is it my fault for not taking some students dislike for cats into consideration!? Do I reprimand him for caging me!? I'll have to talk to Albus.*"

-

Ron's next class was one he was looking forward to, Charms Class with Professor Flitwick. Although it was hard to believe it from the movies, after a quick search finding his Professional Dueling record was a cinch.

"*If I get a former Dueling Champion to teach me, I'll be able to formulate my own strategies to counter those used by Duelist.*"

Unlike his last class, the Ravenclaw student's were going to share the classroom with the Slytherin's. This became very clear when he heard insults directed towards Hermione and Daphne before he entered.

" What's your father going to say when he finds out you've befriended a Mudblood, Daphne!?"

" That's none of your business Parkinson! How about you worry about being such an insufferable bore!?"

" Watch your mouth, Greengrass! Don't talk like that to Pansy!"

" Why don't you be quite, Millicent!?"

" Hey, Mudbl-"

Hearing that familiar voice, Ron wanted to know why a boy was barging into a girl fight.

*Click*

When the door opened, everyone quieted down thinking it was the Professor, but after a Crimson Haired boy walked in, they all had different expressions. The Ravenclaw's breathed a sigh of relief while the Slytherin's glared at him but didn't say anything.

" I'm back, I took care of the cat. Did I miss anything? I heard loud noises all the way down the hall."

When Ron asked his question the Ravenclaw student's looked towards Daphne and Hermione. While the Slytherin's looked away not making eye contact with the boy.

" So? What happened?"

Asking again, Ron received the same response, silence. That's when an arrogant and snarky voice answered him.

" We were asking Daphne why she hangs around with a MudBl-"

" Silencio."

Swiftly drawing his wand Ron casted the charm without any warning.

" Draco, Draco, Draco. How many times must we do this? When will you learn from your errors? You mustn't insult your peers, specially girls, isn't that right miss Parkinson?"

When he spoke to Draco, Ron used an exhausted voice, but when he spoke to Pansy his voice was sweet almost honeyed. Alongside his calm demeanor, his charming smile made the girl's face turn completely red.

" Yes, Ron..."

Although they were happy to be protected by Ron, hearing him speak in that way to such a nasty girl didn't sit well with either Daphne or Hermione.

The latter even told him it was no big deal and to let it go before the Professor arrived and he got in trouble. After Daphne agreed with her, Ron had to reassure them it was okay and began his ending argument.

" What I'm trying to say is that we as fellow students and pe-"

" Why should we Purebloods have to share our lessons with Half Bloods and Muggle Borns!?"

When the Bulstrode girl interrupted him, Ron's grin got wider and he approached the large girl who's eyes never wavered.

" Because WE'RE Purebloods, we shouldn't scream out insults during class, it's beneath us. Besides, if you do, you might end up like Draco here. I wouldn't want to do that to such a nice and gentle lady as yourself."

" You think we'll listen to you!? You're a Weasley! You're no Purebl-"

" Silencio."

"..."

" Unlike you, I'm the current head of a Noble House. I'm above you all in rank, you want to act like Purebloods fine, but unless you can beat me I'd suggest you all keep your mouths shut. Recipio."

*Click*

" Damn you Weasl-"

" Mr. Malfoy! What is the meaning of your outburst!? Ten points from Slytherin!"

" But Professor -"

" Continue Mr. Malfoy and I'll make it another ten."

When the other Slytherin's wanted to back up Draco, they received a smile from the Crimson Haired boy. When they got a glimpse of his smile they felt a shiver run down their spines.

" Professor, may we start with the lesson, I'd hate to let time pass due to some uncouth student."

" Ah, yes, yes. You're right Mr..."

" Please call me Ronald, Sir. I know my several Family names are quite lengthy."

" Then, I thank you, Ronald. Today's lesson we'll learn about the lighting charm, Lumos."
