Ron Weasley: A Noble's Ascension

Chapter 59 - Returning Victorious!?

Ron asked the question nonchalantly yet made sure to inspect the old man's reaction. He of course wasn't expecting much, with Dumbledore answering straight forward being far and above his expectations.

"* How are you going to answer old man? I'm positive you do have some Phoenix Tears in your possession, so are you going to deny it or affirm my speculations?*"

Not surprising even with that tricky question, Dumbledore's grandfather facade never faltered. In this regard Ron admired his innate ability to do so perfectly, even he who was trained by a High Class Nobel for an entire year hadn't mastered it.

" Ronald, I'm sure you know that Phoenix Tears are very precious. To some they're invaluable treasures, so before I answer you, could you tell me why you're in need of them? "

" Headmaster I would rather not say... It's a very delicate and personal matter, but if you do have some in your possession even one I'm willing to purchase it from you."

While Dumbledore made himself appear to be a warm and kind grandfather to win over people. Ron transformed into a cute innocent child. Using his natural charm along with his own disguise, Ron tried to puppy eye the legendary Wizard.

" Hmm... sadly I do not have any in my possession, I'm sorry. I do hope you are able to find another solution to your problem since I doubt you'll be able to find any other Phoenix's in Britain other than Fawkes."

" I see, that's quite unfortunate. Thank you for your advice Headmaster I'll be sure to keep it mind. I should take my leave my friends were worried... "

Giving the boy a slight nod Dumbledore then motioned Prof. Flitwick to escort Ron down.

-

Once the stubby Professor and the crimson haired boy were nowhere in sight Dumbledore leaned back on his chair while staring at the doorway. Shortly after he turned over to the golden stand next to his desk pondering something.

The various portraits hanging behind him took the chance to voice their own opinions on the situation.

" He's a very interesting boy."

Yes, I agree. He's not normal."

" Eh, I wouldn't use that word exactly to describe him."

" Then what would you call him?"

" Unfathomable."

" Really? I don't see it."

" Hey! Phineas what do you think?"

" Oh, yes, yes! He's your descendant isn't he?"

When the conversation was moved towards his way the dignified Professor gave the pensive Dumbledore a quick glance before deciding to stay mute.

" What's wrong with him? He's usually rearing to talk about the Nobel and Famous Black Family."

" Maybe he's emotional after finally having a possible Heir."

" Hahahahaha!"

" Hehehehehe!"

Unbeknownst to the laughing portraits or Dumbledore, the former Slytherin Headmaster was currently in serious thought.

"* That boy... Where in the world did that little girl Lucretia find him? I'm absolutely sure that not once did he ever break that facade of his. I'm sure even Albus hasn't been able to figure out anything, that boy is truly a Monster. If it's him, he might actually be able to to raise the Black Family from the ashes and into new heights!*"

-

After leaving the third floor and partinng from Professor Flitwick, Ron made his way to the Ravenclaw Common Room. It was Self Study time meaning that the two girls could usually be found in the library but Ron was sure they hadn't gone there.

On his way there he came across some of the others that were present during his "Attack" on Draco. Some of the more privy students did ask him if he'd gotten expelled but Ron would only give them a smile before passing pass them. That of course didn't quench their curiosity, in some ways it only served to intensify it.

" Ronald! Please tell us what happened!"

" Did you get expelled!?"

Ron was used to being in the spotlight, so all the attention and stares didn't bother him. Which was useful since the story of what had occurred began to spread throughout the whole school. More and more people began to surround Ron in hopes of getting him to tell his side of the story.

" Ronald is it true you casted an unforgivable curse on Draco!?"

" I heard he wanted to throw him out the window!"

" That's not true I heard he continuously made him fall in his head!"

" Yeah, I heard that too!"

As far as he was concerned this was good for his public image, which was something he could later exploit.

"* I wonder if this is how Harry would have been treated all day if the old man didn't send him away. Constantly being surrounded by people with little to reached for your privacy... Oh well, at least to me they serve a purpose.*"

-

One of the greatest benefits of the Ravenclaw House was it's entrance. Although he was being swarmed by a mob of people once he reached the bronze door he knew he was in the clear.

" Where do vanished objects go!?"

When the door asked it's riddle the entire mob of people surrounding Ron we're stumped. As they rattled their brains they failed to notice the crimson haired boy walking up to the door and whispering his answer.

" Into non-being, they turn into everything."

Entering the Common Room Ron made sure to close it after him as to keep out the onslaught of "Curious" students.

-

Inside wasn't much better since his fellow first year's had already told everyone else what happened. Surprisingly most of the older students weren't shocked or even surprised by the story. It seemed that after Penelope spoke about Ron's unique personally, along with his well known tendency to help practically everyone they accepted it.

" Ronald! Daphne and Hermione are waiting for you in your room."

" Thanks, Anthony."

He was about to walk away when he noticed the boy's curious gaze.

" It's fine Anthony, I wasn't expelled but I did get punished."

Leaving those words behind Ron went towards the boy's Dormitory, while the remaining Ravenclaw's all sighed in relief.
