RWBY: Fireborn

Two young kids, one boy and one girl, could be seen walking down the street at night, chatting to each other. One is a fair-skinned young girl with silver eyes and black, neck-length, choppy hair that gradates to dark red at the tips, wearing a black long-sleeved dress with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, a black waist cincher with red lacing up the front and around her skirt is red trim. She also wears a pair of thick black stockings and black combat boots with red laces and trims around the top and red soles. Topping her outfit with a red hooded cloak fastened to her shoulders by cross-shaped pins, a wide black belt slung around her h.i.p.s on an angle, which also carries bullets and a pouch. A large stylized, silver rose was pinned to the front of the belt. She stood about 5 foot 2 inches [1.57 meters]

???: "Come on Ruby. I didn't mean to, so quit pouting already."

Ruby: "I'm not pouting, I'm mad. You almost set me on fire! How was I supposed to know you would be training if you sit down and not move for hours!"

???: "I said I was sorry!"

The boy, stood about 5 foot 10 [1.77 meters], had short spiky black hair. With a sharp face with soft curves that could make women swoon and men jealous. His eyebrows complemented his face and enhanced his eyes which glow with a heavy brilliance of genius intelligence. He wore clear visor-like glasses on his face that the earpieces covered his ears. He also wore a white fitted t-shirt that had a black stylized hammer on a left diagonal with the head down. Simple blue jeans with heavy brown boots. Over his t-shirt was a open violet jacket that had a a lily on the left peck and crossed swords on the right, both were stylized similarly like the hammer. On his back was a maroon satchel that was made of metal and odd fabric that hung in right in the middle of his back and was by no means slim, it was thick and took up most of his back. On his h.i.p.s was a belt and holster, the belt was simple yet it had a handle inlay-ed into the belt, the holster held a newer version of 'nigrantis versus' that more closely resembles a large caliber handgun. On his left wrist was a metal bracer that got bigger the farther up on the are it went. On his right was a bracer made of the odd fabric that had a metal underside.

Ruby: "I was calling and calling you for dinner, Logan! You didn't answer so I shook you. That doesn't mean to throw a fireball at me!"

Logan: "Ruby, Look, I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean to, I already have a hard time with my fire, I'm just glade that I managed to direct it away from you."

Ruby: "Fine... I forgive you..*smirk* But, you have to buy me the new 'Armaments Weekly' magazine."

Logan: "I can agree to that. Hey, we're here."

The stopped in front of an somewhat old shop called 'From Dusk till Dawn'. Upon entering the store, they were greeted by an elderly shopkeeper. After talking for a bit, Logan and Ruby wondered to the back of the store. Soon they found themselves reading magazines idly in the back. The shopkeeper soon heard the shore door open up. A man with slanted, dark-green eyes and bright, long, orange hair, with long bangs covering his right eye. Black eyeliner traced his visible left eye. He wore a red-lined white suit with long black pants and black shoes. His accessories included a small gray scarf, black gloves with buckled sleeves, and a black bowler hat with a small feather tucked into its red band. The shop keep viably paled at his sight, he knew the man, Roman Torchwick, a infamous wanted man. Roman had entered entered the store with a group of thugs behind him, calmly smoking a cigar.

Roman: "Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a Dust shop open this late?"

A thug then pulled a pistol on the shop keep.

Shop-keep: "Please... just take my lien and leave..."

Roman: "Shh, shh...now, now. I'm not here for your lien. Grab the dust."

Soon the shop was being pillaged for all the dust it contained. The front counter being cleaned out by the storekeeper in order not to be shot by a thug pointing a gun at him. One thug with nothing to do wandered the store, soon found himself a young girl reading magazines oblivious to the robbery. Going up to the girl, and trying to act menacing, he shouted.

Thug: "Alright kid. Put your hands were I can see them!"

Ignored.

Thug: "Hey, I said hands in the air! You got a death wish or something!?

The girl completely ignored him. Stomping up to her, the thug grabbed her shoulder and turned her to face him. That's when he finally noticed that the girl had headphones on. Frustrated, he points to his ears as the girl looks at him understanding the gesture.

Girl: "Yes?"

Thug: "I said put your hands in the air, now!"

Girl: "Are you.... robbing me?"

Thug: "YES!"

Girl: "Oh...."

Thug: "Hey!!"

Girl: "Hyah!"

Roman was admiring a flawless piece of fire dust crystal when he heard a female voice shout. Suddenly, one of his thugs flew into a magazine rack at the front of the store. Sighing, Roman gestured with his head to a few thugs to deal with it as he stuffed the dust crystal in to his jacket. Soon more shouting occurred, then a thug and a red blur exited the store through a front window. Ruby stood there, behind the now unconscious thugs with her weapon, 'Crescent Rose', a high power sniper scythe, in its scythe form, smiling at Roman through the window. With a simple twirl, she spun around and planted the scythe into the ground.

Roman: "Okayy.... Get her!"

Soon the rest of the thugs rushed out to try to attack her. Two of them rushed directly at her, One taking a swing with his sword. Ruby calmly dodged and spun on her scythe kicking the thug away. Launching herself up off the ground, she dislodge the scythe and landed with the top of the scythe pointed behind her. As the second one charged, she pulled the trigger of the scythe and shot, and spun like a top, soon smacking the thug up in to the air with the back of her scythe. A third had flanked and tried to surprise her but failed. Ruby used her scythe like a hammer and hit him in his side sending him away. A fourth tried to open fire with his machine gun. Ruby use her scythe to increase her mobility by firing repeatedly dodging the gunshots. Soon, ruby rush the gunman, sliding into his feet and kicking him up into the air. Slamming her scythe in to the ground again and then throwing herself up, she kicked the thug into the front of Roman's feet.

Roman: "Well, you were worth every cent. You truly were. Well, Red, I think we can all say it's been an eventful evening. And as much as I'd love to stick around. I'm afraid this is were we part ways"

Roman said as he dropped his cigar and put with his cane. As he lifted up his cane, the bottom opened up to revel a simple sight as his cane had a gun in it. Before he could fire, part of the road that he was standing on rose up in pillars and struck him, sending him flying. Logan had exited the store, with his visor-glasses now red and his satchel now gone. He appeared to be wearing some maroon armor on his torso, on the back seem to be a metal hood attached to the c.h.e.s.t piece. His bracer on the left was extend and now had a blue screen on it. His right had two prongs sticking out of it that had a spark travel between them.

Logan: "That's my sister you shot at. So Ruby, you okay?"

Ruby: "I could have handled it. And where were you anyway?"

Logan: "Well some thugs were still inside trying to make off with the dust. I just had a little heart to heart with them. They are now taking a nice nap. Hey, where he'd go?"

Roman had use their talk to run and was half way up a building climbing a latter. His cane lay bent from were the pillars hit it on the ground. Logan sighed, he then asked the shop keep.

Logan: "Mind if we go after him?"

Shop-keep: "Uh hah."

Ruby: "Race you to the top."

Logan and Ruby soon raced to the top of the building with Ruby winning. Logan had to climb the latter part ways to get up. As they both reached the top, the confronted Roman.

Ruby: "Hey!"

Roman: "Persistent."

Suddenly, a V.T.O.L. appear and Roman jumped on it. Laughing to himself, he took out the dust crystal and through it at them.

Roman: "End of the line, Brats!"

As Logan and Ruby looked at the dust as it hit the ground, Roman had pulled a pistol out from somewhere and shot it. As the explosion occurred, a women had joined the fray. Stopping the explosion with a simple wave of her... riding crop? As Logan watched, he could make out the women more clearly. She appeared to be a young woman that has very light-blonde hair tied back in a bun with a curl hanging down the right side of her face. Her eyes are bright green and she wears thin ovular glasses. She has dangling teal earrings that match the hanging pendant on her collar. Wearing a white long-sleeved, pleated top that has a wide keyhole neckline and gauntlet cuffs that flare in pleats at the wrist. Her lower body is covered by a black high-waisted pencil skirt with bronze buttons and black-brown stockings. To top it all off she wearing black boots with bronze heels and a cape that is purple inside and black on the outside. The cut of the cape is stylized to end in flames and arrows, with a row of diamond-shaped bronze beads on the back. Above this line of beads appears an emblem of a tiara. As Ruby and Logan were to her right side after she stopped the explosion, Logan quickly figured out that her semblance was 'Telekinesis'. And Ruby suddenly had stars in her eyes as she looked at her.

The woman adjusted he glasses, and with a simple flick of her crop, she shot out several telekinetic projectiles. As the projectiles hit and were knocking Roman around, he rushed to the c.o.c.kpit and shout loud enough of Logan to hear.

Roman: "We got a Huntress!"

What happened next confused Logan as a woman wearing a dark-red, off-the-shoulders, v-neck mini dress appeared. As soon as she did Auren started screaming in his head. Warning him about the woman.

Auren: "Logan! You have to be careful! That woman has magic on her side, and it's powerful!"

Logan, not taking any chances went on the attack. Using the debris from the explosion, he formed several projectiles and shot them towards the woman on the VTOL. The woman retaliated by shooting fireballs in return disintegrating them. Logan this time formed two more with one being a water-ball. Shooting them at the woman, Logan made sure that the water-ball disappeared behind the stone one. As the woman destroyed the stone one, she quickly fired another as to avoid the water-ball behind it. Logan smiled as he had expected that reaction from her, as the water-ball was highly compressed and as soon as the fire hit it, a small steam explosion occurred and rocked the VTOL wildly. Ruby shaking herself out of it started firing at the VTOL hopping to do some damage to it. The huntress stood and watched as she saw that the boy had no problems facing opponents of this level and the girl was quite good as well when she got into it. Roman, not wanting to be apart of this fight any more piloted the VTOL out of there as quickly as he could.

As they left, Logan and Ruby turned and looked at the Huntress. The Huntress quizzically looked at them with a unfriendly glow in her eyes. Logan noticed this, Ruby did not.

Ruby: "You're a huntress... Can I have your autograph?"

Logan heard this as he deactivated his armor and bracers, returning them to normal. He immediately facepalmed himself. He shook his head as he had an idea of were they were going.
