RWBY: The Black Reaper

After team RWBY match, the matches were far less aggressive, the matches were excitable and enjoyable for the audience. After few hours, it was MNPR team turn.

MNPR's opponent team entered first, the audience were cheering for them. Next it was MNPR's turn. When they entered the audience became silent and the opponents' faces paled.

Mesa and the rest walked toward the arena under the silent gazes. Pyrrha, Ren and even Nora felt uncomfortable. Mesa was not affected in the slightest.

Before beginning the match, Oobleck started to talk " Before starting the match, a special rule will be added. Mr Mesa Uchiha is not allowed to use his semblance. If he used his semblance during the match, his team will be disqualified "

This sudden rule surprised everyone including Mesa, even him didn't see this coming. Mesa frowned while Nora objected " He is not allowed to use it? Why? This is not fair "

" We know it is not fair for him or your team. His semblance is way too powerful to be used in this tournament " Oobleck said

" But sir, Mesa has perfect control over his semblance " Pyrrha interjected

We want everyone to show their skills and their capabilities, we want to show the skills you future huntsmen and huntresses possess. Mr Uchiha made a clear show during the terrorist attack "

Pyrrha, Ren and Nora sighed, they didn't know how to refute the professor. On the other hand, the opponent team members were celebrating, colours returned to their faces out of happiness. They believed now they have a chance to fight back. Mesa looked silently at the happy faces in front of him and narrowed his eyes. He hates when people use rules to restrain him and seeing the four happiness earned his wrath [ They want to show their skills and capabilities huh? Dream on!! ]

Mesa looked at Pyrrha as he said " Pyrrha, give me your sword. I didn't bring my weapon here "

Pyrrha looked at him with confusion, she asked " Why do you want it ?"

Mesa said impatiently " Just give it to me "

Pyrrha wasn't sure what was going on, but she gave her sword to here team leader anyway.

Mesa looked at his team and said " When the match start, just stay still "

The three looked at him in confusion. They knew Mesa well enough to know he is planning to do something. But the couldn't tell what was his plan.

The holograms around them started to show the arena properties. It was half wood, half mountain arena.

Mesa looked coldly at the four in front of him, they were taking their stances preparing for the match. Mesa smirked as he raised the sword in his hand and took stance.

Those who knew Mesa were all surprised, it was the first time seeing Mesa taking a stance. He usually keep his hand lowered and carefree stand while fighting.

In Ozpin's office, Glynda spoke " He plans to do something." informing Ironwood and Ozpin next to her

With Cinder's team, Mercury commented " I wonder what he worth without his semblance ". Next to him Emerald didn't comment. Behind him sat cinder, she narrowed her eyes. She wanted to his Mesa close combat skills. She witness his strength and semblance but she didn't get the chance to see his own skills.

With team RWBY, Yang said " Mesa will definitely crush them" while the rest of her team nodded in agreement.

On the arena, Mesa eyes started rotating as he watched the four. He was observing every breath, muscle move, aura reserves and their weapons. [ The girl is carrying sniper so she is for long range support. As for the rest, they fight in close ranges. Two swords wielder and one fist fighter ]

Mesa was listening to Port voice, who was counting down for the match to begin.

" 5 … 4 … 3 … 2 … 1 …. MATCH START " Port

The moment the match started, the girl with sniper turned around as she intended to get suitable location for her sniper. The other three seemed want to run toward Mesa.

Unfortunately for them, Mesa wasn't in a good mood. The moment the girl turned her back. She felt pain in her back as she was sent flying by a sudden force hitting her. The girl didn't know what hit her.

In the place she stood earlier, Pyrrha's sword in the spear form was rotated in air. The rest of the girl team were staring in wide eyes. They only saw Mesa throwing a sword, the next thing the knew a golden blur moved near them and their friend was sent flying. When they looked at Mesa again. He was standing in front of the fist fighter. Mesa thrusted his fist into the fighter stomach sending him flying as well.

The other two were stunned, when they were about to attack. Mesa hands extended catching the still rotating and falling spear. Mesa changed the spear back to the sword form in an instant move and slashed horizontally. The two fell to the ground with two shattered swords near them.

A ringing sound was heard in the stadium. People looked at the aura level screen only to see a side with 4 auras at 100% and the other side 4 with 1%. The match was over. Silence ruled the place. Wide eyes and jabbed mouths but no sound.

Port said with shocked voice " The match is ... over "

People looked the screen as it showed a repetition to the end of each match. In this scenario, the whole match. People watched what happened again with all their senses, fully focused on the screen.

When the match began, Mesa starting to take a throwing stance as the sword changed into spear. He threw the spear at the retreating girl knocking her off. At the corner of the screen, the timer changed from 0 to 1 implying 1 second passed since the beginning of the match.

After throwing the spear, Mesa dashed forward with incredible speed. The other three of his opponent looked back at their teammate. When they looked back at Mesa, he was already in the front of one of them. Mesa punched his opponent in the guts sending him flying. The timer turned 2 by then. When the last standing two looked at Mesa, Mesa's hand was already on the move toward the spear.

Mesa changed the spear to sword then did a sword strike. The audience watch as the sword moved like a flash cutting through the last two weapons and hitting their bodies.

A single strike broke two sword and destroyed 2 auras. When the two fell to the ground, the timer turned 3.

The match was over in 3 seconds. Oobleck took a deep audible breath and said " This is the fastest match in the history. I doubt any team will beat this time anytime soon. This match was ….. I don't have any words to describe it "

Port nodded dumbly. Mesa looked at Port and Oobleck and said with disdain " I hope I showed you enough skills "

Oobleck coughed and said " Oh yes! Great Match!! Team MNPR is the winner "

Port on the other hand was dejected because of this failure, they put the rule of not using semblance to give chance for the rest of the team to put a fight. But Mesa ended the match just after it began. [ What skills? That was bullying with strength and speed. Does he have speed semblance] Port thought to himself

The audience cheered for Mesa. The match was extremely short, but show Mesa in a new light. Mesa didn't have only a monstrous semblance but also unmatched speed and strength.

Among the audience, Weiss asked Ruby " Is it me or he is faster than you, Ruby "

" I can move that fast and maybe slightly faster. But I can't fight while using my semblance. I can only use it to short distances " Ruby replied

"I wonder how strong Mesa truly is. Everytime we think we know him, he shows a new thing. He is truly the strongest huntsman in training " Weiss said

Minutes later, outside the stadium, Mesa was walking with his team.

[ This ship should belong to Winter. It means she is here and probably Qrow as well ] Mesa thought

Mesa looked back at his team and said with an evil smile " I will see you later, I got an old friends to meet. Bye !!"

He disappeared before they could even reply. Ren sighed and said " I hate when he does that "

Pyrrha nodded " We are a team, and on top of that he is the leader. Yet always leaving us behind without telling us anything "

" Did you guys see his smile? It is the evil smile appear everytime he want to cause trouble or prank Ozpin " Nora pointed

" Now that you mention it ….. I feel sorry for whoever at the receiving end " Ren said

Pyrrha and Nora nodded in sympathy

Winter separated part of her sword, the part turned into a dagger as she pointed both of the weapons toward Mesa.

Winter who was screaming stopped in her place, she stabbed her sword in the ground. Her semblance was full in action, behind her two giant ice knights started to manifesting and a group of ice beowolves in front of her.

Mesa seeing the sight stopped for a moment and whistled, which caused Winter to scream in rage " Kill him !!! "

Mesa gave another scream and started to run with an army of ice creatures behind him. Mesa while running was paying attention to the people in the surrounding, he was thinking while looking at them [ Wow !!! I didn't know humans jaws can open this much. Maybe humans in remnant have different jaws constitution. Wait !! Is that... ]

Mesa turned around to Winter with a rare seen serious face " Stop!! Time out!! You have to stop and listen "

Winter struggled to stand up, her aura was flickering and her clothes had cuts and dust all over them. Her hair now was loose and down to her shoulder. She looked Mesa with extreme anger.

She was struggling to move but she still walked slowly toward Mesa. Ironwood ran to her and caught her " Soldier !! I gave you a direct order "

She was still looking at Mesa " I will kill him first "

Weiss ran toward her sister " Please calm down big sister!! "

Winter seeing the worried face of Weiss calmed down a little. She still looked like she wanted to kill Mesa but she stopped her charge.

Mesa looked at winter and said " You are the most unreasonable woman I have ever met. I always believed I'm unreasonable but compared to you. I'm quite normal "

Winter gave him an angry glare. Mesa was about to say something when he suddenly jumped to the back. I rock passed where he stood earlier. He looked to the side where the rock came from. He saw an angry Glynda walking toward him with Ozpin.

Ironwood looked at Mesa speechlessly. Qrow smirked seeing this. Ozpin sighed while Glynda walked toward Mesa and smacked him.

Glynda spoke with angry tone " Don't threat the people with your semblance!! You are spreading fear "

Mesa looked pissed at Glynda but didn't speak. He then looked at Winter and said " So want to start explaining ?"

Winter seeing everyone looking at her made her unable to speak, she was ashamed of her actions earlier. She let her anger control her, and now she had to give explanation to more shameful story.

Mesa rolled his eyes and said " I will give the abridged version then. A year and half ago. Winter was looking for a thief who stole special black metal from Atlas "

Everyone was listening carefully to Mesa. Mesa continued " When we reached her room, she turned into a fierce tigress and pulled me into the room. You can guess for yourselves what happened next. The dirtier the more accurate you are "

Qrow who was drinking choked hearing Mesa, the girls face turned red, Ironwood was looking at Winter and Mesa back and forth. Ozpin face palmed himself "

Mesa replied " You do realise she assaulted a minor at that time, right? "

Weiss didn't answer him but she was obviously still angry. Ozpin on the side asked Mesa " What about the special metal? You delivered him to whom? "

Ironwood also was interested in that part. If he can, he wanted to retrieve it.

Mesa answered " I gave it to Centos. He made into a sword "

The moment Ironwood heard the answer, he gave up on it. He didn't wish to provoke a monster.

Glynda was confused " Why did you steal it for him? Couldn't he do it ?"

Mesa said " No he can't steal it. He can only plunder it but not steal "

Mesa clarified " Centos can attack Atlas base and take the metal using brute force. He has the power to plunder the base. But to steal it, he have to be subtle which is not a thing suitable for him considering the security "

Glynda asked again " And why did you do it? "

Mesa shrugged " So I could him owe me a favor. I figured if I refused he will definitely destroy the base and get what he wants anyway. So might as well get him to owe me by doing an easy work "

Ironwood felt like crying. Stealing from highly secure military base was an easy work ?? the other will destroy the base. Ironwood didn't doubt if Centos was truly as strong as Mesa then he absolutely can destroy the base.

Ozpin felt headache. He lived for thousands of years, he met all kind of people. But like these brothers he had never met. They seem to play around and cause trouble for no reason aside from their own entertainment. In a way, they are worse than Salem. Salem had purpose but from what he saw and hear from Mesa, they didn't, they were living their life a day by day and enjoying themselves without aiming or wishing anything for their futures.

Ozpin at this moment couldn't be more mistaken.
