RWBY: The Phantom Of Remnant

The next morning was hectic, to say the least. Early in the morning, Magna was rudely awakened by his door being kicked in as two balls of fluff pounced on him.

If that wasn't bad enough, two more small figures entered the room secretly and jumped into the pile. Magna, thinking that only Argo and Luna were next to him, hugged the girls as he went back to sleep.

Then, when it was finally time to actually wake up, Magna found that his arms were being pinned down by the wolf twins as Ruby and Yang lay across his c.h.e.s.t.

Deciding not to get beat up by a hung over Taiyang, Magna phased through the girls and quietly left the room. Instead of heading to the dining room, Magna drifted towards his teachers room.

It was a little awkward having her stay with them, especially for Taiyang considering it was his house but Amber had no where else to go. She had embarrassingly admitted to the fact that she was staying at the teachers dorm at the school.

Since they were burned to the ground by the attackers, she was quite literally homeless.

Standing outside her door, Magna knocked on the door as he said, "Teacher? Are you awake yet?"

A long yawn echoed from the other side of the door for a couple seconds as a soft voice said, "I'm up… come in…"

As Magna opened the door, his cheeks became red as he stared at her with wide eyes. Unlike her old nightgown, she was just wearing her work shirt and loosely worn skirt.

She yawned again as she looked at her clothes and awkwardly explained, "I was fired from my position as principal so I've been searching for a job. It's... not going so well…"

Not expecting the genuine sadness on her face, Magna slowly floated over to her and gave her a hug. She shyly hugged him back and quietly muttered, "If only you were 10 years older…"

Obviously, Magna heard her but decided to gloss over her little comment. The pair sat in silence for a couple minutes, just hugging.

When Magna finally felt it was enough, he g.r.o.a.n.e.d as he felt Amber softly breathing against his c.h.e.s.t, leaning all her weight against him as she fell asleep. With a soft sigh, Magna lay her on her bed and quietly left her room.

With nothing else to do until she wakes up, Magna decided to go see what was for breakfast. However, once he opened the door, his eyes twitched at the sight before him.

Qrow was collapsed on the floor with his b.u.t.t hanging in the air as he snored while Taiyang was face first on the couch as he g.r.o.a.n.e.d every once in a while.

Magna turned towards the kitchen before giving Taiyang another glance as he didn't know who was taking care of who in this house. Yang somehow had gotten up and was toiling away in the kitchen as she wore a way too large apron on her body.

She was humming a song Magna hadn't heard before as she skillfully plated up a huge pile of french toast with a side of bacon. Just as she was about to take the food to the table, she spotted Magna and smiled.

"Morning Magna. You wanna help me take the food to the table or are you just gonna stare?"

Magna quickly walked over and took half the food with him as he playfully said, "Oh, and I really wanted to keep watching you work~."

He left before Yang could reply, missing her beet red face as she stared at his back and struggled to reply. For reasons unknown to him, Magna's always found it relaxing to tease Yang.

There was just something magical about making the blonde haired jokester turn into a blushing mess that Magna found soothing. The pair started teasing each other a couple days after they met, trying to get a rise out of the other for their amus.e.m.e.nt.

Hearing her stomping away in the kitchen, Magna smiled as he softly muttered, "Never change Yang… never change…"

Once the table was finally set up, everyone minus Amber slowly started appearing at the table. Breakfast was quite lively as Magna gave everyone a full recap of what he experienced at Atlas.

His story managed to kick start the sleepy little red as she practically burst into a shower of petals, appearing in his l.a.p as she stared into his eyes with her glistening silver pupils, shouting, "That sounds… AMAZING!!! What happened next? When is your weapon gonna get here!?! Can I hold it? Please! Please please please!?!"

Magna literally had to lean back as Ruby's face was uncomfortably close to his. He contemplated phasing through the chair but decided against it as he glance towards Taiyang and said, "It's up to your dad, Ruby. If he gives you the 'ok', then I'll let you hold my weapon when it gets here."

Taiyang was visibly suffering from his hangover as he rubbed just above his eyebrows and dismissively said, "Yeah… sure… just make sure she doesn't hurt herself, Magna. I'm trusting you on this so don't let me down…"

Qrow, having experience with dealing with hangovers, looked towards Magna with an amused glint in his eyes as he said, "I didn't know that you could use a scythe Magna?"

Sweat appeared on Magna's face as he lightly cough and said, "I uh… can't… I only told them to make a scythe as a joke but they thought I was serious."

Chuckling at Magna, Qrow took another drink of his Irish coffee and plainly said, "I could train you, if you want. Tai is about to start training Yang on hand-to-hand combat and I'm in the mood to train someone as well."

Ruby practically burst into a ray of sunshine as she jumped at Qrow and screamed, "Train me!!! I want to use a scythe too!!!"

She started swing her arms around while making cute karate sound effects, earning a muffled laugh from Magna as she reminded him of the show.

Qrow looked at his nieces with a small smile as he ruffled her hair and said, "Sure thing, Ruby. But you need to wait until your Yang and Magna's age or else you'll just get hurt."

Ruby pouted at Qrow's words but calmed down as she softly plopped down on Magna's l.a.p, surprising him when she suddenly appeared on his l.a.p when she was sitting on Qrow's just a second ago.

Yang giggled at Magna as she told him how Ruby's been secretly training with her. Ruby's gotten much faster than before and that caused Magna to panic.

He was already having trouble against the Ruby shaped missiles that come at him every once in a while. Now that she's faster, Magna just prayed that his body would hold on.

Suddenly, Argo's hand slowly went up as she shyly glanced at Qrow and said, "If it's not too much trouble… could someone please train my sister and I?"

Before Qrow could speak, Emily gave the girls a gentle smile as she happily said, "Of course. You girls will be training with me and Amber. Our style of fighting is more compatible for you girls than Qrow and Taiyang's."

Argo and Luna's tails started swing back and forth rapidly as the twins happily said in sync, "Yes!"

Magna smiled at the twins before turning towards Qrow. Finding that Qrow's was looking at him, waiting for his answer, Magna gave a small bow as he said, "Teach me well, you dust old bird."

A smirk appeared on Qrow's face as he said, "Try and keep up, little fox."
