is a cesspool a little like Wattpad where I only use the Apps to store my novels rather than actually get it seen. There are newer and younger sites or even RoyalRoad that has a more decent community that will pat you on the back if you manage to write an interesting work. The amount of titles you see is ridiculous now...

Here, there are contests done every few weeks for the sake of churning out as many new works as possible just so they can drown out any actual good work that has had a writer takes months of planning before actually starting to write.

Even if you DO win a contest, you are disqualified if you don't sign a contract with . It makes me wonder how this site is even running when they basically get writers to churn out their best ideas without giving them time to create substance.

Only Gardener Writers are benefited by this...

I myself am a hybrid between a Gardener Writer and a Architect Writer, while I CAN start a work fast and update frequently at first, if I hadn't written a plan beforehand with an ending in mind, my mind would wander until I can't foresee a good ending.

In my honest opinion, I'd rather not give a story a lackl.u.s.tre ending and just discontinue it if it becomes hard to write. Sakura Is Reincarnated and Amalgam System are those sorts of fanfic novels.

I hadn't gone in with much expectations but apparently everyone wants to read a list of interesting tropes strung together rather than a story that reads... you know, like an actual story!

When I'm advised by someone on Discord that I should make my title something that sounds exactly like a brief description and that I should definitely add action to the beginning part of the novel... My mind suddenly stops thinking.

It's easy to write an action scene every two seconds and string it along with a b.a.r.e minimum plot relevance, but the Architect Writer part of my soul screams to be that my work has turned lackl.u.s.tre because there's no weight in the fight.

Sure, everything can be cool in a fanfic, but my artistic and self-criticising soul screams to me that I should make a story worth remembering, and not an interesting list of things happening for the sake of it. I can't believe it took me so long to realise why I was so incompatible with what is normally considered to be a '' in others eyes, I didn't know how much of an Architect I was...

Who knew I was the sort of person who would actually have to think my stories through to the end before actually writing drafts of chapters. It's no wonder I can't seem to keep my heart into writing fanfics because everyone agrees that they HAVE TO BE BAD and must be written by constantly doing plot twists every chapter without intrigue.

It's hard enough remembering someone else's expansive universe, but now I have to create a new story without being too judgemental towards my own work? I'm too self-criticising to do that!

I analyse tropes and genres, of course I can objectively look at my work and figure out its most blatant faults. Although I know those who have heard of me probably look down on me in a condescending way because I wrote Battlefield Restart 2- An Adventure Beyond Greatness (which reads and sounds too absurd sometimes), but I'm serious about my hobby as a ist online.

I might be rebooting my fanfic titles, but that would depend if anyone wants a serious and planned out fanfic that pays homage to the original where credit is due, or just want me to drop it, as extreme as that. I'm not writing as just a 'Gardener' again.
