Sasha's Dream

Chapter 31 - Reencounter

She gritted her teeth as she continued to hold on.

"I will save this world!!!" She shouted.

After a while, she suddenly realised that it wasn't so bright anymore. So, she opened her eyes. To her surprise, she saw that she was in a place she couldn't recognise. It wasn't anywhere from Paradise Springs. It wasn't even somewhere in her own world. Nor was it the part of the bridge she built. It was much more different. More soothing. She continued to look around. She felt that something heavy was holding her down. But, she didn't care to realise for what she was seeing around her.

"What is this place?" She asked herself .

Suddenly, she noticed a spark before her. She stared as a spiritual being took shape before her. She looked like a female. She had long silver sparkling hair touching her feet. Her eyes were watery green as if they were full of kindness. She was wearing a dress which looked like it was made from the leaves and branches of the trees of the White Forest.

Sasha kept on staring at her glowing existence.

"Welcome, chosen one." The spiritual being finally said,"I am the creator of this world. I'm the supreme one."

"The supreme one..." Sasha repeated as she kept on staring.

"Yes. I congratulate you for wielding the White Crystal."

"The White Crystal?!" Sasha finally remembered what she was trying to accomplish earlier. She instantly looked down at her hands and saw that she really was carrying the crystal. She was surprised at first.

"Am I...really holding it?"

"Yes. It seems like it." The supreme one said giving her a warm smile.

Sasha tried to hold it up. At first, it felt quite heavy. But, when her d.e.s.i.r.e to hold it up became stronger, she could easily do so. She was surprised yet again.

Sasha looked up at the supreme one again.

"The crystal will grant you only one wish. And, that wish has to be a pure one. If not, what you d.e.s.i.r.e for cannot be granted." The spiritual being said.

She was not expecting that at all. She thought that the crystal would grant her multiple wishes once she gets a hold of it. She was hoping to bring back Doko along with destroying the whole bridge. But, now that she learnt about the conditions, she didn't know which she should wish for.

She stood still.

"Only one wish?" She asked.

"Yes. Not more than one." The supreme one answered.

She kept on standing all frozen. Would she wish for Doko to return? Or, would she wish for the bridge to be destroyed? If she chose the first one, the world would fall into ruin. But, it she wished for that later one, she would never be able to see Doko. Not ever again for the rest of her life. But, eventually she had to decide. And, she had to make the rational choice from the core of her heart.

"Have you decided?" The supreme one asked.

Sasha closed her eyes as she was thinking deep inside her head. She could clearly hear the comforting voice of Doko. She could see his smile. She could hear his gentle laughter. She could remember all his deeds. Then, she remembered her promise. She remembered his request. Though Sasha wanted to bring him back, she knew...that she would be irresponsible and cause him to be sad. She clearly didn't want that.

After a while, she opened her eyes and looked at the supreme one into her eyes.

"I have decided." She said with a voice which sounded like being forcefully brave.

"Then put the crystal down and take a few steps back. You then must focus on your wish and call out the White Crystal's name. After that, you must state your wish while closing your eyes." The supreme one explained in a way Sasha understood.

She remained quiet for a while after that. The supreme one curiously stared at her as she did so.

Finally, she put down the crystal gently and slowly took a few steps back. She gritted her teeth again. Closing her eyes, she called out the crystal just as the supreme one explained.

"White Crystal! I want the bridge to be destroyed so that no being can ever make connections between the worlds ever again. I d.e.s.i.r.e the passageway to disappear!!!" She shouted.

Just when she was done wishing, the crystal shone really brightly and after a while, it vanished.

Sasha couldn't stand anymore. With eyes full of tears, she knelt down.

"Has my wish been granted?" She asked the supreme one without looking up at her.

"Yes. Your wish has been granted. The bridge has been destroyed like you wished. The crystal has gone back to its resting place."

Hearing her reply, she was relieved. Because, she succeeded in saving the world. But, thought she was happy for it, she burst into tears.

The supreme one got startled seeing her like that.

"Why do you cry? Your wish has been granted. Now that the connection has been erased, no being can ever harm this world just as you d.e.s.i.r.e."

Sasha didn't reply. She kept on crying.

"Is it perhaps because you can't come to this world yourself ever again? Is that why you are sad?" She guessed wrong on purpose. She knows exactly why she cried. She was just testing her.

"No! That's not it!" Sasha finally looked up and said,"I'm glad that the connection is gone now. But..."

"Did you perhaps have another wish?"

Sasha nodded. "Yes."

"May I know what it was?"

"I wanted to bring back Doko." Sasha finally said.

The supreme one gave her another smile after hearing her out.

"You could've asked me instead, you know?" She said giving her a grin.

Sasha became confused. She couldn't imagine what she could've meant. She  stared at her.

"Doko!!! Sasha wants to see you!!! Come out!!!" She called out.

Sasha was even more confused. Soon, she heard footsteps. She looked around quickly. She noticed a giant beast coming their way from a distance. She knew instantly who it was. She stood up slowly as she was having a hard time believing it.
